Well I moved your topic because it is not technically about RPG Making, its about where to post. When a topic is moved and the mod elects for a copy to be left in the original forum(so the author can track their topic) then there are two topics. So in the recent posts it shows up as topics, which it is. I think the recent posts hook is a third party script, so I'm not sure if we can blame the IPS coders. [closed]

Welcome to RMXPUnlimited. What is your definition of serious? If it is commercial, then the RPG Makers are serious engines.

That's correct, but i think he meant a bridge for members to login to as well. It looks like we are integrated with the website, but as you should know clone1018, you can do it easily with a simple mysql query. We will however have the member tables synced in the future.

I know what you mean. We had a contest with the swamp tileset, I think most people found it too hard to make submittable maps with it. Well I better start mapping. :) Goodluck everyone.

Google suggestions are funny. I saw this posted somewhere else on the internet, I hope it wasn't here. But yeah, take a screenie of something google suggests that it is weird, or funny. Here's mine: I was wondering how that makes you see what its like to be a dinosaur, and then I tried it. Little things entertain me :)

For me it was RPG Maker 95(i think!) that I found on one of my older brothers many many CDs. He used to use Game Maker quite a lot before he grew out of it, and so did I. Anyway I was trying to make a DBZ game in RM95 when I decided to google if there was a newer version. That's when I found RMXP, in fact I remember the very first I started it up and the first time that saw the battle system because i was amazed(probably comparing it to RM95). I have a very selective memory and remember some things extremely clearly, that night being one of them. For example, In 1998 when I was 7 years old I remember my parents coming out on the front lawn holding up an xtra(internet provider) box thingy and telling us we had just got the internet. Soon after I got a little bored with it, and that's when I found creationasylum, my very first forum which was early in 2006. I loved it in the beginning actually, it was a new thing to me. That motivated me to use RMXP more and start making some resources. Helping a member or two(ravenclaw, our first staff member to be exact) made me want to create my own forum, and i liked creationasylum so much that i was guilty of copying it. But things have changed over the very long time we have been around. And this forum is what motivated me to use RMXP and helping members on the forum, which sadly I have not done in a while.

Why do they freak you out? I think most people, especially teenagers have cellphones. Even children have them, which is sick in some ways. I'm talking under 10yrs old. Does anyone think that cellphones are a health risk? Perhaps they are like smoking which everyone used to think was good and healthy until it took its toll on people for the first time(because it takes a long time for negative effects to occur) and then people suddenly realized it was bad. Although its not proven smoking does kill people. But since cellphones are relatively new and its impossible to see the long term effects at this stage, could they potentially cause health risks from long-term usage?

Haha that's too personal, you know im not usually personal here... coz of being an admin and all. I checked this just now, and at the moment it's only possible to get the announcements on the homepage by posting in one blog. I would prefer to keep MOTM announcements separate from forum announcements due to the amount of topics it will create, but we could always have the MOTM forum as a sub-forum. We could also advertise contests more by having them in the menus on both the forums and website.

I didn't even know whanau meant extended family, i thought just family. Most NZ'ers know a few Maori words. In case you're wondering how to pronounce it, the words are pronounced the same as japanese. Wha sounds like fa. I was wondering if anyone would ask about it.

It's been an hour since the students of New Zealand nervously logged into their university accounts and checked their results. You know how I left this place for about 2 and a half months? It seems it may have paid off :) I've struggled with my education over the last few years, because of various excuses, but today is a good good day. The whanau is shocked. I'm a law student(and an rpg maker forum admin, nice combo), so there is a limited entry, only 180 students. There's a minimum grade which they say will get you through, and i got the minimum grade. But if you do badly during the year, your final exam counts for 90%, so I had just one chance to score good. So that means there is a chance I will not be accepted into second year, but I think I have made it. I did pass highschool but a single paper. In fact if i failed any one of the papers that i passed, i wouldnt even have made it to uni(once we pass highschool, we can go to any uni). Anyway, I thought i would let you guys know since it's the reason i left. *celebrates*

Haha, fair enough. I voted for like because its useful to catch up with old friends and contact people when im out. My uni is far away from where i live so during the semesters im out of the house most of the day. What i don't like is acronymising EVERY word. ttyl, fb, and some people pov(point of view) b(back) bb(byeybye i think). When they start shortning the word back, and bye, there is a problem. Oh, and cellphones make it way easier to cheat.

Yeah, and also I dont have to login into another control panel just to post announcements. Although until I write another decent sized announcement, the homepage will look really empty.
