(Idea for storyline hooks, inciting incidents, midpoints, and second plot points taken from here.) So I have used such points to layout a clear path of my project's storyline. I have to note my weakest points are probably my response and climax. So, some input please.

Still seeking development team members! Very willing to pay for quality service. Currently seeking: Spriter Seeking at least two spriters with quality skill and can successfully pull breeze revolution and GBA Sonic style sprites. Along with character sprites, I also need special/misc sprites and tileset/object sprites (which will involve spriting entire tilesets by hand or with a reference). Coder Seeking at least one coder (two would be nice, though) with quality RGSS experience, and who fully understand's RGSS and it's concepts. Artist Seeking an artist who has quality skill in drawing, and knows proper body portions (for animals, humans, sonic characters and chao) but also will be drawing object and scene concept artwork for the game as well as presentation and general artwork such as logos and boxart.

I'm trying to modify the Enelvon Bomb Add-On mini-script so that items marked with the bomb ID and given the proper animation will be thrown at the enemy and then show the animation and the whole shebang, but it's not working at as I expected. I use the item, and no errors occur but nothing happens. YES, I know offense items must have an odd damage value to work. Modified script via pastbin in the post. Basically, what I'm trying to do: When item Bomb is thrown, it makes an animation of the bomb icon being thrown at the enemy; bouncing abit as it gets close to the enemy and then explodes when it lands. http://www.hbgames.tk/paste/426

Hello, LaDestitute here! I am recruiting for my RMXP Sonic/Chao fangame The Chao Tales! Interested? Read below. I am looking for: Spriters, scripters (RGSS, a subform of Ruby), writers and storyline/dialog analysts, composers, mappers, and any other task that I could use help with. What I'm really needing at the time being is a coder or two, and some spriters. I'm perfectly willing to provide payment for quality services. The minimum amount of cash (via paypal) I'm willing to pay is $250, and I usually provide higher payment if I like your work. Project Bio This project is a game I'm working on called The Chao Tales, and it's engine is RMXP. There's really no inspiration to the name but it just stuck oddly. The RPG is based off of the Sonic and Chao universe and takes style cues from games like Earthbound, Paper Mario, and Mario & Luigi while keeping it's style akin to Sonic. Some of it's features include a skill tree in place of Chao evolution, skins (accessories that change the base color of the wearer, colors such as monotone [red, blue, green], shiny [duh...], and jewel [gold, bronze, onyx, etc...] and interactive Chao Karate (tournament type battles) and Chao Racing (on foot racing with other Chao) mini-games. I really want to push the envelope on this project, so I'm trying more than just my best efforts. Team Creator: LaDestitute/Spike/Miles Castea Head Developer: LaDestitute/Spike/Miles Castea Spriters: Ryu (three positions available) [NEEDED] Scripters: GubiD (three positions available) [NEEDED] Composers: Moog (three positions available) Mappers: None (four positions available) Game Testers: None (four positions available, and game testers get the next stable public release early) Other: Eli (Concept Artwork) Special Thanks: None so far What I am looking for Graphics: I am looking for a spriter/pixel artist with above-average skills. I need sprites for pedestrians, misc objects, and Chao specifically. This is also for graphics and special text, not just for sprites. Update: While I have a few people assigned working on character sprites, I still need a spriter or two on the team for tileset/object sprites. RGSS Scripting: Someone who is capable of creating fine scripts, and has the necessary amount of experience with RGSS to understand it's system and concepts. Some of the systems I need are: A device to toggle soundtracks (my game has two different ones), a Pokemon style tree growing system, a titles (Like Tales of Symphonia) and achievements system, and a system where two variables (Luck, and Intelligence) influence battles. Luck would influence enemy gold drop. chance of misses and critical hits and item rarity while intelligence would only influence enemy exp drop and strength of special attacks and the strength of attacking/healing items. Update: Updated plans for game. I will also need a custom class system made along with FFTA-style random allies. Storyline & Dialog: The Chao Tales is split into four chapters, each with their own major sub-plot. It might help if your first language is English, and you've have taken those classes in middle/high school. Other than analyzing the finished storyline, your only job to write dialog and suggest/work with literary ideas. Composer: I am looking for a composer full-time for the project or who can quickly compose some good sounding themes. I need some themes for the game, such as battles themes and a title theme; and the style I'm going for is akin to Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi, and Earthbound. I also need non-crappy remixes for the game, mainly for the remix soundtrack. It might help if you aren't totally clueless about music theory, and have above-decent music composing software on hand. Edit: I have found a composer for the time being but, additional composers are welcome. Mappers: I could also use some mappers for the project, so I suggest your skilled at this sort of thing and know your way around mapping basics and such. Please use the Chao sprites (ChaoTropolis is a good place, they got tons of it) and the Breeze Revolution style for your maps. The most recent work from my game, the Chao Stadium Cave and the Chao Karate Area. Chao Stadium Cave is based off of how it looked in SA2B, and the Chao Karate Area is original.

I'm very glad my project is getting some attention.

Sorry to gravedig, but I think my opinions on this will make up for it. Overall, this is a good program; however there are some faults with it. The interface is a bit clunky...or it just may be me instead of that. The options at top are a bit difficult to work with...I think you sould make it so it can read .png/.gif/.bmp/.jpeg (Although I would go with png, being a losseless but small size format) as configuration files and vice versa. The windowskins that come out via this program are a bit unaligned. You sould fix that.

Far as I know, their not ripped from the TCG. I think I remember that the sprites for such didn't exist in TCG, so someone actually took the base of the normal baby chao and then resprited them to look like those Chao. As to address your other questions: I find the turn order display actually helpful as it lets you know what's going on. I'm adding tutorials in the database function for the actual game, for stuff like how ot battle and how to use the chao evoution grid. Right now, I'm working on pre-game stuff, mainly an evented intro, evented title screen, evented options menu, and I had borrowed a design from Earthbound...upon starting a new game, you'll be asked to set some settings and name the main character.

[sarcasm]Really says a lot when you don't bother downloading the demo, and actually PLAYING IT.[/sarcasm] :)

At Pol: Problem is I have barely any knowlage in advanced coding lanaguages, only I know is a small amount of RGSS, which is merely a subform of Ruby.

Been a while since I posted here. Some new screenies. *Screens 1 and 2 are old, about a day or two. Had made some cave design changes since then. *Changed Chao Karate Stadium to Chao Karate Area.

Does it looks any better?

I am planning to release my game in patches (which I call chapters) and I simply do not like the usual method of pasting over the old folder. Does anybody know if a patching program exists? Even better if it has options for which file, and folder to replace the original with and if it's actually made for RM.
