  1. Shot in the dark here... Anybody have a copy of 3drpge v3.0? It used to be up on RPG Crisis, but Elemental shut his site down a while ago...
  2. Hey, happy Bday GDU! Been a very long time since I've been here. I don't even remember what it looked like when I last visited. I re-stumbled upon this looking for older rpg maker programs(was researching a little on nrm2k again). Anyway it's good to see this site is still around. 10 years is quite an accomplishment. Most of the RM sites I ever used to go to are no more...So finding you guys still here warms my little RM heart.
  3. They look pretty nice, actually. Maybe they need more depth, though. The entire map is only on one plane. Adding a few outside walls(you know the ones for outside of the caves) that will fit well with the swamp tiles. Maybe a few walls the Hero can walk up and get to another level to walk around above the swamp some. Sorry if that sounds confusing... My daughter woke up entirely too early this morning -yawn-
  4. Hey now. There's nothing wrong with getting some friends together, dressing like we were in Waterworld, taking a boat and some uzis and striking terror into fishermen's hearts over the course of a weekend. Sorry. It was in the 60s when we got rid of the Gold Standard. During Nixon's presidency.
  5. LMAO! Thanks for the feedback, Kiri<3 The music is mostly all from Final Fantasy XI. Wonderful sounds in that game, for sure. Naw. They are just very laid back villagers. :P
  6. You had to Google Cylon? That's fuckin' sad, yo. xP
  7. The US got rid of the Gold Standard quite a very long time ago. I think around the time of the big stock market crash in the '20s. The Federal Reserve Bank decides how much currency our notes are worth based on how much money we have in the system and how much the US gov't wants to borrow. Every dollar given printed for the US is already worth way less than a dollar because of the interest we pay back to the Fed. But that is very off topic.
  8. The last strategy guide I purchased was Final Fantasy VII. It was the good Brady Games one. I actually had tons of Guides for my Squaresoft games haha. Even Brave Fencer Musashi. Don't think I've ever been disappointed with a Strategy Guide, though o: Oh and I tend to agree with Kiri. Games are too expensive by them selves. A new release and a strategy guide will run you nearly $100 dollars. Insanity. Do you know how many groceries I can get with a hundred dollars?
  9. Every movie I own I never purchased nor do I have the intent of purchasing. Same for my music. I could care less what it does to the movie industry, honestly. And as far as the music industry... It keeps artists on their toes when most of their revenue comes from doing concerts and demonstrating their natural talent as opposed to selling a CD which has been ran through several sound filters(and yes I realize that is done alot in conerts, but still). If the artists were ARTISTS and not TOOLS they wouldn't give two fucks about the money anyway. Look at Trent Reznor. NiN's past two CDs were available FREE FOR DOWNLOAD. There's an artist who cares about music. Not like Metallica who bitched and whined because they only got 9 billion of the 10 billion dollars they could've gotten for their shitty ass 80s power rock music. Fuck that.
  10. mmm 100+ developing hour failed endeavor? Sounds familiar. Welcome to THE MOST UNLIMITED PLACE ON THE RPG MAKER INTERNET.
  11. I am listening to the Mother Knows Best song from the Disney movie, Tangled. Now, don't laugh at me, or else your face may meet my CAST IRON FRYING PAN.
  12. And thank you, Kiri, for the thanks! :D Yes, yes... I think I will be neck deep in Nedango for the next year or so. But it should be most beneficial to us all >D
  13. Importing Map Tiles into Network RPG Maker 2000 While not many people know about this Maker, and even fewer like it, I have taken it upon myself to try and get the Community more interested in Network RPG Maker 2000 by planning lots of fresh content for it. The following is a new version of a Tutorial I made sometime last year. I have 4 more Tutorials in the works, a NRM2k-based website with Resources, Tutorials, and Support that should be done next week, and I plan on showing the community how much fun it is to work with NRM2k. Inside the NRM2k program, select the Map Editor(selected by default when the program starts) and hit the Green Square Button for Import. That will bring a Window up of all available graphical resources already imported and ready to use in your game. Hit the Add button. You will be asked to locate the File which you want to use. Browse through your Computer files and select the Graphic you want to use. The next screen will let you select the part of that image you want to use for your Map piece. This is especially handy because it allows you to use a custom-made Tileset where you can have several Map Tiles on the same image to Import from. Select what you want to use, and hit OK. Next, we will need to fix the alignment of the image being used for the Object. So, select the Graphic you just added, and hit the Properties button at the top right of the Import screen. You will be greeted by the Alignment screen. Here, you can tell the Program how many blocks this Map piece will use(i.e.-1x1, 2x2, w/e), and where the alignment is. The Teal Square in this window represents the BOTTOM of the Object. The auto alignment tool option DOES work and is a blessing for when you are importing a massive amount of graphics. After that, make sure the Object you've been editing is selected, and hit OK. This will put the new Map Object in the first available space on the Current Map Tab you were viewing before Importing the new Object.(i.e.-Lower 1, Middle 2, Upper 3, etc.) I hope you have found this useful!
  14. Try running in compatibility mode for XP with SP3 and also under Administrative Privelages. Used to be you had to switch your regional settings to anywhere in Asia... But, I'm not sure if that still holds true with the vista/7 fix. I can get the editor to run fine. Can get the demo games to run fine, as well. But, when I'm in the editor, none of the buttons work. So I am left with a very unpretty and inefficient GUI lol
  15. The 3ds is awesome, and I wish I had one. But Monster Hunter is totally not buzzworthy, imo XD
  16. Hopefully they will make a new RM soon. I hope it will be a Tactical one, or maybe something with built in online play. I think that would be smart. On a completely unrelated note... Common, 2pac, and Eminem are not real rap.
  17. Cool. Here is a link to the DL page: http://rpgcrisis.net/forums/files/file/68-3d-rpg-editor-version-3-vistawindows-7-fix/ Maybe someone here will have better luck.
  18. There is a Vista/7 Fix for this program. I don't know if I am allowed to post the link. It's over at RPG Crisis. Although, I have tried it on my own computer, and I think it is missing a major file. We have been working to get past it some, but with Megaman8x MIA we have had no success. And most of the support for the file is in the Archived RPG Crisis, which was before the 7/vista fix, I think.
  19. The FINAL(hopefully), version of my game, Eterna Legacies: The Green Cloak, is now available to download. I have updated the original post to include updated Credits, Controls, and the Downloads, which are also below. One with, one without RPG Maker VX RTP. Downloads You can see more at Heroik Development(link in my signature). Have fun playing the game. I had fun making it!
  20. Good luck with your project. :]
  21. Looks very promising. I only saw the pilot of the TV series. I didn't like the Actor for young merlin. Looks more like Quazimotto to me. But the screenshots from your game look great. I especially like the shot of the market. :]
  22. I have cleaned up the Original Post a little bit. Also, the name of this Project has been changed to Eterna Legacies: The Green Cloak. I am currently working on a 1.4 version with some new things. New Weapons and Armor through a Travelling Merchant. More non-random battles with Green Cloak. Increased Boss Difficulty. Improved dialogues. The next release will be the final one. I have a couple of testers waiting for me to vamp things up a little bit more. If you would like to be added to the list of testers, please let me know. After that, my plan is to start Development on the 2nd installment of the Series, Eterna Legacies 2: The Guild. The gameplay for The Guild will be MUCH different from The Green Cloak. However, they both take place in the Bluecrest Province of Eterna. And, The Guild picks up where Green Cloak leaves off. There may be mentionings of The Guild from time to time, or maybe a screenshot I am excited about... Other than that, don't expect much content on the next game for a couple of months.
  23. There's a sort of limitation with VX that I had to work around. Which is why I decided for levels to increase HP and MP. I had to have "levels", unfortunately. So I had to make something happen for level gains. But I still wanted people to determine the rest of their stats by themselves. I may have HP and MP also bought through stones and have levels guide each profession through skill trees. More like Special Abilities learned at certain levels, to allow the player to still purchase other Skills and Spells. Either that, or mess around with a point distribution method at the beginning for all stats, but I don't really like that a whole lot, for some reason. I wish VX would let me set the growth parameters from events.
  24. Bah. I thought I fixed that last bit already >.> I will have it fixed soon. :3 Going out of town today, so it will have to wait until I come back. I love how people are more interested on what is wrong with projects than how the gameplay is. Hope you had fun, regardless.
