  1. Yes the passability settings and all the fun stuff takes for ever to finish, so all I do si configure it when I use that certain tile rather doing them all in one fell swoop. Thanks for putting them alltogether! Very handy, but it would be super amazing if someone did the passability :p I may do it if I could ever get rmxp to work again -,-
  2. RPG Makers are dead or rapidly dying, that's were I believe the problem lays... The only way to regain life is to evolve with the times and introduce specific sections for other mainstream engines onto the site, such as Cinema 4D, 3ds Max, Maya, Unreal Engine, Unity or even Google Sketchup. As already noted, there needs to be people who understand these programs for trouble shooting, general advice etc but at the same time how are we going to get anyone if we don't introduce them to the site? I hope that if these engines had their own section on the forum, maybe even a Sticky thread like a 'Currently active games in dev' thread (we the users would have to find games currently indev or already released form say other websites, even youtube vids) then we would attract people who use those engines, hopefully :P
  3. That is a really cool installment, Marked! I don't have any criticism, it's good as it is and feels appealing to make/ apply for.
  4. Sorry if I'm being a little blind again but is there a way to view games people have made public? I just thought of something, how about a box that displays the latest Games made public or that have recently added an update? Not sure if it would add any real value, but it's an idea I just got.
  5. I'm planning to do weekly updates once I get everything together. I think the best thing for me is to treat the games Home page as an updates page. I've just made it public and you'll see my brief explanation in the Hme page. Game: http://www.gdunlimited.net/games/lumis Shouldn't be too long now before I start the updates :) I'm hoping to get 2+ a week, sort of like a dev blogs diary. Oh and I like the new Edit Game Page button Marked! Those features you have planned are good and solid, it's nice already as it is too so I really hope a lot more people start to use this, it should have the attention it deserves.
  6. Thank you, I couldn't see it befor because I thought the 'Admin CP' was physically on the front-end page :P I miss-see a lot of subtle things like that.
  7. How do I go and edit one of my games?
  8. Incredible!! Sooo good! I've just started to add my game and it's great, love it all :) Very nice work, you deserve a big pat on the back for this.
  9. Wow, that looks incredibly interesting. I'll be following that thread from now on, thanks for the info!
  10. Welcome back Broken! I too miss the forum life here, I plan to stick around but I always fall into the same old trap and become inactive, no matter how much I try.
  11. Yamaha here I come! Amazong Black Friday deals ^^

havent been black friday shopping yet. might go this year since walmart isnt to far away.

  12. I don't really celebrate my birthday, maybe I'm synical about this matter but it's meaningless to me. Time is forever, you get older each day, I'd rather not celebrate me getting old knowing that my life is getting near to the endline. Happy Birthday :D haha have a good one!
  13. Designing a game in 4K ready is a bitch, but hey it's future proof.

not a difference here since i only have 1080p. Maybe in 5-10 years i will notice a difference when 4k is standard and i have a 4k monitor.

      FleshRenderStudios

I have a 4K monitor coming for my birthday :p whether I actually get it or not though is a diff matter lol (£25,000 lol)

@Pol, just zoom in :p Then you can see the difference in size. I'm working in 4k so it gives me insane space for detail.

@Flesh if I had £25k all my problems would be solved :D Good luck!

  14. Magic Jack is ruler of ClockWork City. He's a magician that uses mechanics and gadgets to perform his 'magic'. One of my favourites so far ^^ The music is perfect!

  15. Good work on the thumbails, and comments. Also a congratulations is in order for Mod Chigoo :) Have fun! As a side note, I want to say how nice RMU is currently looking and working, it feels and looks slick/ professional! Very nice I love it.
  16. I'd like to play an rmxp/ vx game in 2560x1440, wouldn't you?

    1. Polraudio

      Polraudio

if i could have that resolution lol.

      Bigace360

my highest resolution my broke ass can afford is 1680x1050. So I couldn't test to see if it works

Seeing a game in that res would be great, I'm doing all the art in that res and downscaling it to the standard resolutions (future proofing it for 2k, 4k is too intense).

  17. Good luck man! Keep at it and you'll do fine :) I've been out of work for a whole year now, feels bad, but I'm hoping to snatch a Christmas temp job soon.
  18. Nice method of breaking down the song, I sometimes work in a similar fasion wehn designing artwork. I tend to recreate/ copy it in pencil, then alter it to my liking/ style and then start to completely rip apart the piece and forge it into my piece.
  19. Ooooh tough question, I like loads of food and I haven't actually got a favourite o.o I'll go with choosing a really nice large pizza, not the greesy take away pizzas either, I mean a propper made pizza.
  20. I must have been high when I wrote my last status update.

  21. I completely understand your point Marked, I think a fair few of us can too. I myself stopped being active simply because I lost interest in RPG Makers and their Limitations, then again even if I tried other engines I'm no coder or even a 3D Moddler/ game builder, I'm an artist (and one that struggles to finish any game project). I'd feel really upset if the site closed down fully, keep it open for us active members/ friends to chill out, I think we all wouldn't mind chipping in for the server costs either :)
