If Hell was just a place only shaped by the individual's own perspective based on their emotions and fears? You know, that sounds like Silent Hill? What if Hell was like Silent Hill? Or what if Hell was like Jhonen Vasquez created in Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, and that it was just like the mortal world only people respawn and any misery is only self-inflicted? To answer the OP question, I'd think I'd rather be in Hell than be erased into Oblivion. I wouldn't like Oblivion, that's where I left my Adoring Fan.

I am always an Imperial with the basic sword and shield combo, no magic (being a pure mage in past Elder Scrolls games were a little disappointing.) and finally I can put a damn beard on the guy. Any 'magic' I use would mainly be enchanted weapons/armor and maybe a healing spell. Anyone else have this weird enjoyment of waiting until you're the highest level possible and then go back to wearing the lowest/mid tier armor and weapons? I always found strange ways to artificially make games more fun for me.

The title and plot is a reference to the story from the Hebrew Bible in which God asks Abraham to sacrifice his son, Isaac, but that's enough about religious trivia. In The Binding of Isaac, Isaac's mother receives a message from God demanding the life of her son as proof of her faith, so Isaac goes "F that." and flees into the monster-filled basement in order to escape with his life, eventually leading to the point where he has to battle his own mother. If it wasn't obvious by now, Isaac is the protagonist in which you'll be playing as, although there are 3 unlockable characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. The gameplay is very Rouge-like with randomized dungeons and loot as well as bosses (there are technically 29 randomized bosses in the game, including sub-bosses), and the gameplay is akin to the dungeons in the NES Legend of Zelda (the first game). The monsters and items in a level never respawn after their defeat and collection, so the resource pool is rather limited in a level. The game has a TON of replay value, as every time you play every level and power-up is randomly generated, and there are well over 100 items to collect, which could mean you might end up with powerful/useful items in the beginning, but it also means you might end up with the sh*t end of the stick. It's an Edmund McMillen game, the same guy who worked on Gish, Braid (artist), Super Meat Boy and other Flash-based games. The art style is grotesque, and dark, and light-hearted, and disturbing, but the game is very entertaining, and frustrating, and fast-paced. I recommend this game to all who enjoy challenging Rogue-like dungeon crawlers, 2D Zelda games, and games with a fresh, yet disturbing art style. It is currently only available on Steam for $4.99. As I was working on my RMXP project, I was thinking quite a bit about whether I should create a HUB area, then this topic just sort of came up. How do you guys feel about HUB Worlds in games? (For those that are video-game-jargon-impaired, a HUB world is the central location from which a player can venture out into different areas of a game. It is often used as a clever way of masking loading between levels or worlds. (e.g. Tim's House in Braid, Princess Peach's Castle in Super Mario 64, and the Nexus in Demon's Souls)) It is normally an area that you frequently visit throughout the entire game.

Yeah, I mostly -ahem- download my music either from converting Youtube videos into mp3's, BeeMp3 and sometimes iTunes, and I pirate software when I can't be bothered with paying for it or I think the price it's selling for isn't worth the product you're getting (e.g. JumpCraft, UNITY, etc...) BUT I did pay for RMXP and since then, with the user-friendly interface and community it has with its resources and support, I personally got way more than my money's worth. As for games, well, as far as retail games, though...I hate PC gaming (don't want to start a war, I just do) so I don't buy -or torrent for that matter- games for PC, I only buy games for my handheld and console.

I will admit, I do download songs and software without paying for them. I don't think it's wrong if you're only doing it for yourself and not making mass-copies and selling them. Like Marked stated above, the companies aren't losing money on the digital side because they just duplicate the item an unlimited number of times. Because of that, they can only gain money and not lose, unless they are going for the money gained to compensate them for the cost of making said product. Reasons for downloading can also be because the item in question is really old and can't be found in the market anymore. For example, where the hell am I going to find a PC copy of the original Deus Ex? Stores don't sell used PC games, so I'll have more luck finding it on thepiratebay or something. And Music, most of my songs are downloaded from somewhere else. iTunes, for example, has every Nightwish album EXCEPT for Century Child, which is one of my favorites. And when I download Alestorm songs, It's because I find it funny and ironic because I'm pirating Pirate music.

Just my two cents, but the orange 'shrooms (spores?) and frog look a bit unbalanced and out of place and the bridge corners look rather odd and out of place too.

I seem to have a little issue...I downloaded it, started it up....now what do I do? lol The 'menu' thingy is a bit confusing...or rather they aren't labeled very good...which option is the map editor? And whenever I do click on something, a loading screen pops up, gets to maybe 70-80% complete...then stops loading and doesn't respond. Thanks

Lol I was using the strategy guide for the original Gold/Silver games when I was playing Soul Silver. It wasn't that much different. I remember not using a guide when I was playing Red/Blue....I basically blinded my way through that game! Hmm....I don't normally use strategy guides my first playthrough, in fact I only used 4 my whole life (Ocarina of Time, Pokemon Gold/Silver, GTA IV and Fable II)...It wasn't necessarily a Strategy Guide, but the worst I've read was a map guide for finding certain tokens in Spiderman 3. There are about 100 of them...and the guide only marked 95. The game came out in 2007...and I still have yet to find a guide that lists every token. >:( I don't feel like running around the city like a headless chicken trying to find the last 5 on my own.

I agree with everyone above stating that we shouldn't wipe everything clean and start anew, but rather just get rid of uneeded forums and stuff and just add on to what we already have. Even if it's a little, I'm always seeing new activity every day here. Activity on my end confuses me a little because of the time zones between where I am and the site, so every time I go on here, for me it's like 6 pm, but on the site its like 2 in the morning...buuuut I digress, as time zones don't really matter in terms of activity in the long run...

Yes, I am using the legal Enlgish version of RMXP.

Is there anyway to resize the GUI for RMXP? The 'Ok', 'Cancel', and 'Apply' options are cut off from the bottom of the Database window :( I'm running on 1024X768 resolution...I shouldn't have to change the resolution and the scrolling would get a bit annoying. It could be a font problem...anyway how to fix this?
