Story developement in my head and on paper is going well, but character developement is difficult. Don't worry about playing the first game first, I'll provide enough info. The 3rd game though, is meant to be the finale, so playing it first will be like reading The Deathly Hallows before The Philosopher's Stone.

A good way to have superb character development is by having the characters interact with other characters. With this you can have characters talk about the other character such as his/her personality.

With so little information, it's difficult to help. Are you using any scripts that may be causing it? How have you set up the item? Can you post a screenshot of at least the options for the item in the database?

Then should I leave? I don't have the money or skills to use anything except rpg maker and I don't plan on leaving at all.

Some reason speed test thinks thats mb/s and its not megabytes per second. its actually mbit. so my 6.83mbit = 683kb/s. i wish i had 6.83mb/s

So so far it looks like we've got Me, Pol probably, and Shin willing to help. Who else wants to join the fellowship? (I have no idea what it has to be LotR, I just wanted to make a reference to it in the "is this it?" topic so...) And how about this: Mark sticks around and maybe comes and goes, but Me, Pol, and Shin do most of the work and sort of co-own the site in a way since Mark clearly can't do it himself. Didn't he used to have Isaac, Pol, Kiri, Leon/Lizzie, Ark, and wyzard or something helping before? Most of them left and then site has gotten better, but Mark himself seems to have gotten worse. Seems to be, although I may be ignorant about how each of them helped, that Mark just can't run a site by himself and it's because he kind of is now, that he wants to give up. I'm not sure anyone can run a forum like this alone though. (Could be like the Order of the Phoenix actually. That was the old Order, and the new one has like...me and shin in it or something)

Is what I'd like to say, but I don't have money and don't know enough about web design. Pol (I think) and I would like to take over the site for you (Will most likely mainly be him though if we do), but we're both in similar boats it seems. Maybe we could get 3 or 4 people running the site instead of just 1 with a few moderators. There's enough people here who still want the site to be around for at least 1 person to at least learn how to use PHP and Javascript and stuff and there has to be a few people here who can afford to keep the site up for a few more years (with donations maybe?) I literally have like $15 or $20 probably so... You started this site knowing hardly anything about web design, right? So I would never expect it to be very popular, and I'm okay with that.

I just learned something REALLY COOL. If you click on an error message window and press CTRL+C, it copies all the text in the window so you can paste it in notepad or something.

Sometimes it'll do that lol. Where did you put the call script command? I'm pretty sure you don't need it. Just change line 102 of part 3 (@ABSORB_HP_SP = false) to true then go down to line 1135 and set the IDs Also try this: - Make sure you have all 3 parts of the script - turn on skill separation, but change the settings so it doesn't look like it's doing anything in game - If that doesn't work, replace line 808 (which should be "return if $game_system.SKILL_SEPARATION") with this: NOTE: "banana" can be substituted for any word that is not already in any script. you can also use underscores_as_spaces_to_make_a_phrase banana = true return if banana == false - If that doesn't work try using only 1 equals sign before false - If none of the above works, try removing the sp cost mod part completely. It might break it though so keep a backup. That's all I can think of right now. edit: And screenshoting your error message instead of typing it (because no one is smart enough to make an error message window with text that can be highlighted) will help a ton. edit2: I just learned something REALLY COOL. At least not all of them.

I can't seem to get either of the scripts to work. I keep getting a "stack level too deep" error when using either the menu or the materia screen. I can see that, by default, the materia script automatically adds "materia" to the menu, which is helpful...if you're using the default menu, and you're not. Unfortunately I'm not very experienced with Ace, and don't really have time to get the script to work right now. I might be able to figure it out later tonight or tomorrow though.

Your request is a bit confusing. First of all because I'm not sure what engine you're using or what this "rpg maker vx ace" script is supposed to do or if that's even it's name since RPG Maker VX Ace is an actual engine by itself. What is clear, is that you're having trouble with a menu script of some kind. A menu item isn't showing up in the menu? Because your request is confusing, it's a bit difficult to know where this topic belongs, but I'm pretty sure, unless you're actually using the RMVX Ace engine, this is the right place. According to your profile, you use VX Ace, which means this is the wrong place and you're having trouble with a materia script, right? TOPIC MOVED
