I think one of the many reasons I think Arcatis II will be so much better than the previous game is that I actually know where I want to go with the story and stuff now. When I started I just sort of added on to what I had and thought of stuff as I went along. At some point I started thinking ahead and now I have a lot more planned out and could even do a prequel or two.

If I was able to do what I really want to do with The Hidden City of Arcatis, it would be the most fun 2D ABS RPG ever. I understand why people quit rpg maker, but I don't care enough about the limitations because for one, I have no other options, and second, I dont't exactly want to this for a living.

It's definitely not an issue with resolution because that's the same as mine and I've used VX Ace without that problem before. Most likely a compatibility issue with something.

4 things: -Marked made a status update. -It got out of hand. -This is the topic for it. -Discus Posted this in the debate and mature discussion forum because I think we need to be civil and serious about this as it can be a touchy topic, even thought it really shouldn't be. Plus it seemed like Bigace got a little angry with "Actually it's no way the fking same" and I'd like to avoid any more of this...angry...ness... Comments were copy/pasted directly so I didn't edit grammar or anything, in case you cared.

I love how Disgaea does weird things like having multiple minor characters attacking the main character because they want to steal his "main character" status and become the main character so they can always win and be immortal and stuff.

FPS's are fun once in a while, but I don't get how some people can play them online so much. Maybe it's because I do alright in single player, but suck in multiplayer. Doesn't matter which game. TF2 is fun sometimes tough...

Added! I really like the idea of a sci-fantasy game with spaceships. Like...magic and spaceships. And the idea of a space western is just awesome to me. Although the only one I've watched is Firefly. Should probably watch Cowboy Bebop and that other Anime that I can't remember the name of... Anywho, how about this: The year is 25XX or so. As you may have guessed, the Human race has already send many ships out to find and terraform planets and find new life. Many planets have been terraformed and it's basically the wild west, but in space. Complete with cowboy slang and everything. A small group of people are assigned the task of colonizing a newly discovered planet. When they get there, they discover an ancient artifact from a civilization that has either left the planet, or died off completely. The artifact somehow grants people powers which are basically magic. It effects everyone differently though. Or it could be something like a temple, which would also grant powers. Maybe it could have new stuff in it and change a bit throughout the game and the player needs to go back there a few times. Or it could be a first/last level kind of thing. Although...Metaclaw is right, being in a space ship most of the time could get boring...maybe there's a way to get around that. Xenosaga had a space ship that the main character's traveled around in and I don't remember seeing so often I got sick of it. Most of it does look like a Hotel lobby to me though...And the first game was 99% space ship anyway, but only because the entire time they're trying to get to a certain planet but tons of stuff gets in the way.

On sunday I almost started feeling proud of my state and I don't even care about football. Now there's a parade and I couldn't care less. At least my dad got an early 60something birthday present. :\
