I'll go against you guys. It's cool. Oh, and you shouldn't show the submissions 'till the contest is over. People can cheat and still mapping ideas ya know!

Yeah, I'd buy it.

How strange, the "Move Away" is the move event commmand. Strange. That's up to the Admin, you shouldn't though. Good reference for others in the same situation. Need I send you the demo too?

Hm. Well, I do know basic HTML, I read some tutorials at W3Schools - but that was for Myspace. Guess I should brush up. I might use dreamweaver. Does anyone know anything about servers?
-
lol. Fail. Yeah, it's \n[x]. Tired last night. Good job on the catch.

Uh, for question one. If you can get the rock in the hole, then you wanna use a conditional branch and some variables. In the event layer of the map click on the hole once. Jot down the the coordinates, in this example we'll make it 13, 16. Now, in some event or another, set as a parallel process. Set up two variables. One marking down the rock events X and the other marking down it's Y. Underneath those two commands make a conditional branch. Set it to variable storing the rocks X coordinate and make it equal to 13. No else case. Inside that conditional branch do the same with the Y variable but make it equal to 16. Inside that conditional branch turn the switch on. Presto. I hope this isn't TOO confusing. But it's late and I have to go to bed, so I had to rush this into a 5 minute tutorial. I hope you understand, if not say so and I'll elaborate more (Provided someone else hasn't before me). And to answer your second questions, I have it in depth in my Eventing Tutorial Chapter one. But basically your going to use the \c[x] command in a message box, the x matchs the number in the actor database. Example: \n[1]: "Leon gives me kinky spankings at night." Would look like this in-game. Hope I helped

Thanks for the advice, I'll definately consider that. Is Dreamweaver free..? Yes and No. I don't want to pay a host, I want to provide for myself. I find the idea of setting up your own server and such intriguing and it could be useful knowledge for future careers. So, it's mostly just to learn it, and to make my own website. Thanks homie, I know you are. I'll be sure to remember.

Yeah, but I'm at my last year of high school, so I won't be living here for long. Well right now I'm in the plannings. I'm gonna get a job within the next week or so. So it'll be atleast a month or two before I can get two computers. In the meantime I'm gonna do some research and buy a book on web design and one related to servers and how they are set up. I don't know a lick of it. I'll admit, my plan is just ambition as of right now. Until I get the job. Then it'll snowball from their hopefully.

lol. My internet isn't free. But there has to be way a way to get it free. I mean, how is it that yahoo, hotmail, etc. can provide Internet? lol. I havn't started anything. No, I'm not competiting. lol. I love this place.

There was two others.. I think. They both went inactive. One was pretty intense. She was a children's book writer.

Why would it cost money to run a sever? I'll admit, I still don't know that much about computers. So anything you could tell me would be helpful. Why should it cost anything when the internet is free? If it's because of my internet connection. Then how would I connect to the internet without an ISP? I mean, there is a way THEY connect to the internet without charge. Soo..?

Well, I went on to Ebay.com, as I am an avid customer there. And I found a nice Ati Radeon X1300, 256MB video card there for 36$ (S&H Included) I needed it for Spore (BTW, get the pirated version without the DRM, don't know what it is? Google: Spore DRM) Sadly, my power supply is a 250 Watt, the cheap ass video card requires a 350 Watt. So I thought about it. Instead, why don't I just build the computer from scratch with parts from Ebay? Get a bad A way for a few hundred, and jack in my Hard Drive and presto. So what to do with my old computer? I guess I'll buy another HD for it, buy a book on servers and set up a server with my old one. Make my own website and shit. AFFILIATE RMXPU! But I'm not gonna make a forum, just a site. Just wanted to share my thoughts with everyone.
