I like the names and the immortality idea is just grand and unique.

How can I make an event only available after something else has been completed?
Arkbennett replied to Aldes's question in Support
Oh it's no problem at all. I don't believe in being an asshole to a newbie, we all were, and we've all had questions. Especially the switch one. No, areas can only be in squares. -
How can I make an event only available after something else has been completed?
Arkbennett replied to Aldes's question in Support
Question 1: Yes, look up a switch tutorial. I have one, it's for RMXP, but it should work. Or you could refer to Leon's. Eventing Chapter II - Functions of Switchs A Switching Tutorial Question number 2: You have the right idea, in the event menu you gotta change the "Priorty" which is found on the bottom left. From what it sounds, you have it set to below hero, you need to set it on the same level as a hero. Three Levels of Priorty. Below = Hero can walk on Same = Hero cannot walk on Above = Hero can walk under -
How can I make an event only available after something else has been completed?
Arkbennett replied to Aldes's question in Support
For the first question. Use the precondtions thing on the top left of every event, than or conditional branchs. There are a few rmxp tutorials around the site, including mine, that should work just as good for VX. And for your second questions, use Areas, it's somewhere in the mapping menu. Right click. (I havn't used VX much yet, so I don't remember.) -
RMXP Unlimited Website Poll
Arkbennett replied to Marked's topic in Feedback, Bug Report and Forum Help
Marked, I know your having some doubts about the site. But relax, most of forums all started small and even stayed that way for a few years. I talked to a mod on RMRK one, he became a mod after the site was a year old, he stayed with it for awhile, then he came back and the forum was decent in size. -
lol, WYZ knows it ALL!

Sweet deal, keep up the good work. I'll try the new skin when I get the better of laziness and change it.

I vouche for Wyz, he recently got his internet working. I know, because the poor boy was in tears because as soon as he got it fixed, his power went out. Oh, and I'm still around. I'm just like Leon. Havn't found anything of interest to post in, everyone seems to be doing good. But I'm getting active in a bunch of projects that are being released to this forum. =) Plus it's around the end of summer, I usually get my ass in gear for school. I should expect I'll randomly release one thing or another..

Did you happen to switch out different rpg maker versions? If not, try opening your project through RMXP/RMVX, rather than going through the game folder.

Has spoilers too, if any of you care to read. Well, I must say the update was a bit of a let down. You went from a strong and logical start, and went downhill fast. First, I found the Day/Night system uneccessary, and just there for show. Mapping was still good, but it confused me. In the ruins, little light paths showed you the way to the next map. (Which didn't make sense, especially during the night) And more to take you from the northen part of the ruins, to the next town. The light paths looked sloppy, and lazy. However, I did see some updates, graphically. The dialogue got slightly cheesy (Especially the ones that were edited), and there were several mispellings (Like when Shiron and Tetsuya talked to the archologist) and several cut offs at the edge of the window. The storyline got slightly nonsensical. The achologist part still lost me, Tetsuya decides to go journeying, makes sense, but Shiron just hops in the band wagon for no reason. What about his parents? What about his pets at home? He just leaves because someone told him too. Not only that, but you fail to specify where the player is going, why Shiron wants to go, and which direction. So i got a little lost until I went exploring. I think the whole counsul section needs to be redone, and maybe a better reason for Shiron being admitted. When I think about all I've typed, I've come to a conclusion that you might've rushed the game, probably because the demo before this one was pretty successful. Please remember to take your time, that's why the first demo rocked. I felt the life. The storyline update made it feel lifeless and reminded me of a newbie RPG Maker who was bad at story telling. Kind of like, "The bad guy wants to take over the world because he feels like it." type of storyline. I know your better than this.

[XP] Need help with event system im making, please :D
Arkbennett replied to RMXPirate's question in Support
I'm a little confused on what your asking. Based on user's hp? Like, if user has greater than 50% of health, do this much damage? Or, if player has 500 damage, than do 50, or some type of formula like: HeroHp + HeroStr - EnemyLuck - EnemyDef = Total Damage -
Sweet deal, thanks Isaacol!
