  1. Nope. I read the rest after and then edited my reply. When did you change your avatar?
  2. Yes, I did. My lowest grade for a class was a C+. The rest where mostly A+ and As with a few Bs mixed in. A BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in Creative Writing for Entertainment.
  3. Been really busy with college work and regular work, but at last I have finished all my assignments and have just a few more days in my last course for my degree. I will have more free time again and thus I have returned. ~Noob Saibot
  4. I think you should add this forum and move projects that are clearly dead or have been abandoned in the projects forum(s). Just a thought.
  5. An interesting topic...look at it this way: 1) RM 1995-2000-- Still used by some today and vastly shows the beginnings of software that could evolve over time. 2) RM 2003-- It changed from it's previous versions and implemented a basic animated battle system. However, mapping (as in older versions) was limited. 3) RM I, II, & III-- Bringing it to the console was a bad idea (released at different times and console life cycles). 4) RMXP-- My personal favorite, however, they down graded the battle system to their 2000 battle system and introduced scripting. 5) IG Maker-- LMAO at this....far better stuff out there! 6) RMVX-- Upgraded scripting...downgraded battle system even more (1995), downgraded mapping system, downgraded graphics....not worth it in the end. 7) RMVX Ace-- The biggest pile of shit so far. They simply UPDATED a few things that was wrong with VX (and none that actually meant anything) and added a few new features. So in truth people are buying something that could have been released as a FREE patch. This is like Sony creating a Bly-ray player that doesn't update the firmware for the blu-ray drive and forces you to buy a new blu-ray player instead.
  6. Well no I don't have time to try and code a whole site from scratch. I have just been filling the site with content (Wordpress) and getting the forum ready (IPB). As for my host the only thing I needed to do was manually update the PHP WAMP used as I use a newer version then what comes with Wamp.
  7. UPDATE: Just letting you know this site has never died. I have been working on it on a local WAMP server. Will update first post when ready to launch.
  8. Anyone know of any good YouTube videos, written tutorials, official or unofficial books, etc?
  9. Do you have a download with the scripts in side the script editor...I'm not a fan of the script manager.
  10. Alright a small update... 1) I decided to go with RPG Maker XP. 2) I will be using some of Atelier's scripts (exact scripts to be decided). 3) And most of Naramura's character sprites and battlers.
  11. Alright I updated the link to Media Fire with the complete set. I also tested the second link which is also still working (remember second link is an incomplete set).
  12. I don't care much for Ace...it basically an updated version of VX you have to buy + VX again.... Welcome back.
  13. Why this Project? In February (2014) I will be starting a new class for college, and it will focus on writing for video games. I am going to assume they will have us create a story for a game idea/concept of a genre of our choice. Will it actually Get made? Yes, the assignment in question will be designed (even if I don't get to choose my genre) to be placed in a portfolio so having a small hobby indie based game to go along with it will add to the portfolio and my understanding of making a game (at least in terms of "small"). Where did the title come from? Toltear (pronounced: tole-tear) is the name of a fictional world I created for a fantasy novel series I am working on. It was original called Lenova, but I wanted something that was a little catchy. The word itself popped into my head at random. However, the title for the game (though very simple and even cliche) plays on the words of the slogan: "Because every world has more then one hero!" So instead of playing has one character or playing one story you will play as different characters who all have their own story in the world of Toltear (some characters may even meet or join other heroes on their own quests). So even though it is cliche it signifies that you will be playing as characters who will go down in history as legends. The basic Details! Engine: RMXP Sprites Used:Naramura's collection, and a few defaults. Scripts Used: http://www.atelier-rgss.com/RGSS/RGSS_XP.html Credits: "See scripts used and sprites used above." Story & Characters: This game is going to have multiple stories, protagonists, and antagonists so I'm still flushing out the details for this part (after all this FORUM is Early in Development and you can't more EARLY then this). Suggestions & the Like! Do you have any ideas or suggestions (minus "this topic lacks information...it is a work in progress). ~Thanks for any help or suggests you can or will provide! Update Log
  14. Yes, it is me. I've shared my videos before on GDRM.

  16. So I just found this add-on for Unity (not sure if it requires Unity Pro), but it looks promising. I might try it out. UPDATED: plyGame is a visual game development tool for the Unity game engine. It allows users to create games and prototypes without having to do any programming. The goal with plyGame is to provide you with all the tools you need to create games of various genres, from RPGs and Visual Novels to Action games. At its core a Visual Scripting tool is provided to add behaviour to objects and respond to triggered events. See here: http://www.plyoung.com/plygame/index.html
  17. Yes, it did look promising. One might still find the "open source" to the engine they released, but even then you would need to know coding to truly make it work.
  18. When I purchase multiplate-form games I usually always get them on a console (that way I can trade it in if I don't like it). However, in the cases where I like them I then get them on PC that's why I said I was going to get the Elder Scrolls Anniversary Edition which is PC only.
  19. No doesn't work same error in all browsers. Maybe my Internet provider (AT&T Uverse) blocks .tk sites. That's the only thing I can think of as my internet connection is normal (5mb).
  20. Everytime I try to go to your webpage it just tells me "this operation timed out." I know it's not my internet connection so it must be a server issue from the .tk
  21. Odd issue. I have used RMXP on every windows system since XP and never had that happen. If it continues I would trying posting a topic on the official english message board: http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/forum/6-rpg-maker-xp/
  22. So I have never played an Elder Scrolls game until now (started about a week ago). Not sure why I never picked Skyrim up, but it is a nice RPG. I plan on getting Oblivion (console), and the Elder Scrolls Anniversary Edition (comes with all games & expansion packs). So much to do in this game it actually surprised me (e.g. Legendary Edition is basically a Game of the Year Edition).
  23. I think the forum on this message board for Express Game Maker should be archived and removed as EGM website is officially down and their FB page is dead Forum: http://www.gdunlimited.net/forums/forum/189-express-game-maker/ I see no point in supporting something that clearly never happened.
  24. I stopped caring about my birthday when others did. As you get old people forget...you'll get used it.
