  1. Plus even if they don't someone already made a DS Game/RPG Maker which is a computer software. Now if you can some how play your created games on a DS I do not know. I think this is it (at work could not check as "games is filltered") http://dsgamemaker.com
  2. Gaming World (gamingw.net) used to be (not sure if they still are don't go there anymore.
  3. Perhaps. Any way I made a Discussion topic for it. You can see my ideas for the site and share your concerns or ideas: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/topic/4551-vgs-archive-discussion/
  4. VGS Archive Discussion Alright so I thought I would post a topic in regards to a site I am currently working on, VGS Archive (Video Game Software Archive). I will tell you what I plan on doing with the site, ideas for paid subscriptions, and the overall purpose of the site. What I have Done Different This time I paid for a few add-ons for my host; something I have never done because I never needed it. Such things like: directory listing (listed in my hosts directory), search engine submission (yahoo, google, and bing), and few other add-ons I can't remember. I also gave VGS Archive (VGSA) it's own hosting instead of adding it to my personal hosting. I also plan on getting a Twitter account, facebook, and youtube account for this site as well (which means later I will buy advertising on facebook). So in short I am taking this site far more series then any site I have done before. I also plan on registering a DBA (doing business as) so I can do business under this name. What Will VGS Archive Be VGSA will be a place where hobbyist and professionals can read reviews of Video Game Software; from game makers like Game Maker 8 to such things as Havok AI. VGSA will NOT GIVE SUPPORT for any software or programming language as this is not what we are meant to be and well I have no clue how to use Havok AI. We will have a Tutorial section where members can submit Tutorials on how to do things but that's as SUPPORT as we plan on getting. Members & VIP Members It will not cost any money to become either of these. The catch here is is that a VIP Member is a person who is developing a VGS and the restrictions are the same as a member when it comes to uploading files, downloading, blogs, etc. Silver Member & Silver VIP Member This is where VGSA will benefit both members and vip members. These are Subscription accounts (paid) and benefits are (to list a few)... BENEFITS 1) Ability to View many sections of the forum if it is offline. 2) Unlimited upload and downloads with no limitations. 3) Posting rights in same areas. 4) Flood Control Disabled. 5) Able to post in the Classified section for free (used for posting open jobs; paid or free). 6) Private Blog creation. 7) Linked Blog creation. 8) Able to use the Private Bug Tracker System (for your scripts or software; NOT a FORUM). 9) Able to use the Video System (i.e. upload your trailers and sample videos of products) 10) Use our page system (to create your own mini site). 11) More to come... *Note: Silver Members don't have to be a software or script developer. You can use it for your games as well! THIS IS A DISCUSSION NOT AN ADVERTISING TOPIC SO FEEL FREE TO DISCUSS YOUR CONCERNS, ISSUES, OR IDEAS!!!
  5. Yes. To be honest I had planned on it, but needed more motivation, thanks guys.
  6. Members, One thing I am known for is changing my user name a lot. The other is starting a website and then days latter decided it was a bad idea. Some of you already know, but I had an idea to revive and old dead community. But looking at my own luck with RMXP communities I have started and they went no where; despite my best efforts to advertise it on other forums. Then one day I had this idea I thought was GREAT. And to be honest it was; I know this as many people actually replied to my topic about my website idea. You might remember it or don't/never heard of it. It was VGSHub (Video Game Software Hub). People like us hobby game makers could come and read reviews on game making software and if it was worth our time and money. As well as read reviews on communities like Eminweb and games. I mean I had all these ideas and then it just floated away like nothing. So I thought to myself: "yes I liked rmxpu.net; but reviving it would take to long unless I put hard cash into advertising it the right way. Plus back when I was working on VGSHub I had a lot of fun designing and coming with plans for the site unlike all my other ideas. So my question to you is what do you think I should do (doing both sites is a no since it would take up to much of my time)? In fact to make the question make more sense should I: 1) Revive and old RMXP site (to add to the hundreds out there)? OR 2) Stick with VGSHub which is ORIGINAL and has not been done?
  7. do you know anyone here: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/topic/4543-your-help/

I am looking for the following people which where members of RMXP Underground before it finally shut down. If you can please provide a website they are on now, e-mail, MSN, etc. Thanks: 1) garfunkle 2) Shadow Wolf 3) Punk (need e-mail) 4) Twar3Draconis 5) DerVVulfman 6) Leon (not sure if this is the same one as here) 7) WhiteWolfPoet 8) Freakofnature 9) Jpg 10) xLeD 11) SCMike To name a few. if your lost then they where members of this dead place: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://rmxpu.net
  9. Well from reading it you don't seem to be DATING her either so telling her to kiss your ass good bye would be quite ridicules to say the least. If you have feeling for her tell her; if she already knows well tell her again. And remember this (pass it on if you wish): Forgive and forget...relive and regret!!!
  10. The DOOR in the image below. The event is set up incorrectly. As you can see it is OPEN. Press enter and it shows the door close and then open.
  11. I know Biker dudes who still think Bugs Bunny is the sh!t. My dad is in his 50s and he watches cartoons like: Anime, X-men, loony toons, etc. I'm 26 and still watch cartoons (but I draw a line at Bob the Builder...to young for me).
  12. Odd I just fixed a friends computer with over 45 infected files, missing over 28 drivers, and had not been fragmented since she got it. Hope all works out for you.
  13. Could be me, but the guy (or chick) in green its head looks to small for its body.
  14. Ya, probably made no sense trying MARKED, but I was trying commen things and well many of my USER NAMES pop up in google for forums I am on or it was on.
  15. So I had nothing to do and decided to see where on what Google search engines RMXP Unlimited appears using diffrent searche terms: Google RMXP | Page 1 | Link 3 RMVX | Page 2 | Link 4 RPG Maker XP | Page 2 | Link 6 RPG Maker VX | Page 4 | Link 7 IG Maker | Page 24 | Link 4 RMXPU | Page 1 | Link 2 Game Maker | "gave up after page 40" RPG Maker DS | Page 2 | Link 10 RMXP Unlimited | Page 1 | Link 1 & 2 (as well as Facebook at LINK 4) rmxp resources | Page 4 | Link 3 rmvx resources | Page 3 | Link 8 rpg maker games | Page 9 | Link 4 rpg maker xp tutorial | Page 2 | Link 5 rpg maker vx tutorial | Page 3 | Link 3 Marked | "gave up after Page 21"

Why am I pointing out your error? Because I can. All jokes aside though. No ones opinion is WRONG; not a true statement. Most opinion are not based off any fact. So an opinion can be wrong, but in this case it is not wrong. One could argue you have no design skills, but the CUSTOMER is always right (even when wrong).

Nice look, no complaints on my side; except. I don't think I would SCRAP the other one. It has potential. Perhaps even start your own Web Design business.

  20. Much better. Perhaps I was a little harsh here and through out the forums, but we all have our flaws; no ones perfect. Any way working on my deisign...started as a simple home page and now I like it so much I'm making it my site template for one of my sites. I'll post it in a seprate topic when ready; its good we designer take opinions from other deisngers (keeping in mind what one says is just their opinion). So any updates on this?
  21. I'm getting on your nerve because you can't take critique. As for telling you to grow up you only further prove you need to by acting like a child (after all I said more then just to grow up and that is all you took from it). Well nice to meet you 17 year old (you started at age 11 which comes to 6 years experience). Since you want to play this game I'm 26 years old with 13 years experience (started when I was 13 years old). And cockiness will get you know where, but since you asked I have no problem posting my works.
  22. On the web today there are three main image format types to choose from and all have their advantages and disadvantages. You have a choice of three different compressed image formats: GIF, JPEG or PNG. They each use different techniques to compress the image information. GIF GIF uses a lossless compression which means that no quality is lost in the compression. The uncompressed image stores its information in a linear fashion. Each line of pixels is read from left to right. An interlaced GIF file stores the lines of the image in a different order. First lines 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 may be read in. Then lines 2, 6, 10, 14, and 18 and so on until the entire image is read. When the image is read in this way, a user with a slower internet connection may be able to understand or read the image before it has fully loaded. The GIF format achieves its compression by removing repeated patterns within the GIF file and storing references to these sections in a list, also known as a hash. Images with horizontal lines of the same color or pattern benefit most from the GIF format. This would include images like background graphics, images with text and patterned images. Another great advantage is the ability to create animated images. You’ve no doubt seen them throughout the internet. Especially if you were around for the heyday of the 90’s! An animated GIF is essentially a sequence of GIF files with some timing information included. Animated GIFs, however, can run into large file sizes awfully quickly and with very few frames of animation. While it may be a fairly ubiquitous format, if you have to do animation, you may be better off going with Macromedia Flash. If one frame is 15KB then 20 frames could suddenly find you well over 100KB just for one animated image. Another advantage to GIF files is transparency. A color within the color table can be selected as the transparent color. In doing so, wherever that color occurs, you’ll be able to see through to the HTML background. One of the largest downfalls to the GIF format is its inability to have a color palette of more than 256 colors. This can create poor looking images when used on a photograph which may originally have thousands of different colors. JPEG JPEG uses a lossy compression which means that image quality is lost in the process of compressing the image. JPEG compression works by first converting the image from RGB to YUV which stores information about each pixel using brightness, hue and saturation. Then it reduces the amount of information it stores for hue and saturation since differences are less noticeable to the human eye. In trying to decrease the file size of the JPEG (for example, when using the quality slider in Photoshop), you'll tend to notice artifacts occur in flat color areas and especially near edges. As a result, JPEG is best used for images that have more of a variation in colors. For example, images with gradients or photographs can handle a lower quality setting with little noticeable loss in quality. Images with text or large solid backgrounds are best left for GIF or PNG. PNG PNG is the relative newcomer to the list of available image formats and it is a formidable one. It is similar to GIF in many ways but even better in others. It is lossless like GIF but supports 24 bit color, unlike GIF which only supports 8. PNG supports alpha transparency, whereas GIF only supports one-color transparency. PNG uses various compression filters to minimize overall image size and can apply different filters on a per-line basis to achieve higher compression. The big attraction to PNGs is its ability to do alpha transparency. Unfortunately, Internet Explorer (IE6 and lower) currently doesn't have full support for it, although there are hacks out there that can pull it off. If you are not using alpha transparency or do not need more than 256 colors then exporting as an 8-bit PNG is the way to go. On average, 8-bit PNG will be smaller in file size than GIF with absolutely no difference in image quality. PNG and GIF are also very similar in that they both work better with large lines of the same pattern or color. If you do not need alpha transparency but wish to use a color palette greater than 256 colors then you are looking at a 24-bit PNG. It'll be important to test between a 24-bit PNG and JPEG to see which achieves better results. PNG still suffers the same problem as GIF in that they cannot optimize photographs as well as JPEG can. Is there a winner? No format is best in all scenarios. Therefore, it's always best to play around with the various formats and compression levels to achieve the best results.
