I didn't name a name, and i didn't call you shit. i said shit was started. I never said by who, and I never attacked an individual. -

You know, it is funny how only certain people are offended, and the others are against them, isn't it? Seems like some people got their feathers ruffled for being called out on their actions. One debate on race is fine. Two, maybe. But to bring race into almost anything is bull. For the rules, don't you DARE accuse the staff of not doing their job. The integrity of the job hasn't changed in 4 years, and it has worked until some people decided to keep pushing it, and pushing it. If you can't keep it civil, get the hell out. Either keep a civil tongue, or you will be called upon it. -
To the shit-starters on this forum(, and everyone knows who they are): I am tired of you guys thinking you can come in and run this forum. This is rather annoying, and I am done putting up with it. I refuse to stand by and let this great site plummet because a few people can't follow the rules or think the rules should be to THEIR interpretation rather than, oh, say, the OWNERS! I would rather post this and keep my self respect in the matter. I am not going to name names here, because I am sure everyone here is smart enough to figure out to who I am refering... First and foremost, I am sick of people bating for racist debates, racist remarks, and setting the 'race card' in motion. I don't give a rat's a$$ if you are black, white, asian or even purple; knock it off. This site isn't to discuss Lincoln, MLK, Malcolm X, or Ho Chi Minh. This is a site for people to get along. Not promote their own race as better than the others or say things aren't equal. Second, this talk on spam, as well as rules, since they are conjoined in the matter; if you don't like how the forum is ran, don't post it where everyone can see it. That start's shit. In fact, some of who posted there, as well as other areas, have pointed out that rule-breaking should be handled via PM. So, instead of PUBLICALLY HARASSING the staff, try the PM button. I find it slanderous that you would attack the staff and say they aren't doing their job in the open like that. It is dishonorable and void of character. Lastly, There is a difference between debate and starting shit-talk and bating for a flame war or trying to antagonize a person or set of persons. Get off your high horses and quit thinking you are better than everyone else. EVERYONE is equal, there is nobody better than the other. Get over it, get over yourself, or leave. I'm done with this teenage drama BULLSHIT. Either work with the community and move on. Two years ago, this site may have been small and only slightly active, but at least people got along, worked together, and there was no conflict in any way. I'd rather have that over jerks any day. I don't care if they make a million resources for everyone to use, I'd rather have a respectable member.

This would be a huge step for medical science. HIV being stamped out would be great. Granted, odds are, those with the full blown AIDS would have little luck from this, but at least this would save a huge number of lives.

It is a great idea, but from what I understand, solar cells which store the energy don't store much. Plus, it has to be sunny, or at least mostly sunny. The last down side is the size of the solar panel would affect the speed of the charge. It works for watches and calculators because it takes little to charge them; but for such devices as laptops and new-age cell phones, the power requirement is much higher. I love this idea, don't get me wrong. I just hope technology moves in this direction. Could have a huge impact on the world.

From the Wiki Link: Forum spam is the creating of messages that are advertisements, abusive, or otherwise unwanted on Internet forums. It is generally done by automated spambots. Most forum spam consists of links to external sites, with the dual goals of increasing search engine visibility in highly competitive areas such as weight loss, pharmaceuticals, gambling, pornography, real estate or loans, and generating more traffic for these commercial websites. Some of these links contain code to track the spambot's identity if a sale goes through, when the spammer behind the spambot works on commission. I just have to say this: So, by the definition of 'Spam' for a forum, this topic is not spam?

This is both good and bad. stimulates activity, but I would hate to see an increase in spam because of it.

telling from both Marked and rgangsta's posts about RvB being in the Spam forum, I find this debate pointless. It seems Spam has a bit of a grey area to it, and debating over grey is impossible.

To all those who are following; I would like to just inform all 3 of my readers that I have, indeed, finished the core script in which this game evolves around. It is a simple script/event system that has been tested by one of my followers, and further developed with the help of a dear friend of mine. In addition, I have also plotted out how many scripts and maps I will need for this project. Suffice to say, they are few, but still worth investing time into. My only regret is finding the resources I need for a Title screen, and other choice objects I wish not to go into detail on... yet. I also have a story outline in place, with only dialogue needed. In fact, the story behind this practically writes itself, which helps tremendously. I only have to hone in on each character's persona, and we'll be rockin' with the story complete. I just want to conclude in saying that I do have plenty of drive for this project, and plenty of inspiration. The only thing(s) that may hold me back are resources, music, and lack of time to work on this. But, if I can at least get the resources and music, I can make it over time; this I assure you all.

None whatsoever. I find the old Holmes to be more sly, subtle, and more about the chase and mystique, rather than action.

Although I seldom use it, I must disagree. The spam area should remain. Consider it a mental retreat from sanity and a way to openly express it. If you take a break from the dull, drab existence we serve with your friends, who can you take it with? Yes, it needs to be stopped in other forums, but this doesn't mean routing it completely.

As long as you do not create a new variable in Game_Party or other such script (The game scripts or others that are included in the save file.) If you add onto a module, that is different. To know for certain, i'd have to know EXACTLY what you'd want to add.

Not bad looking. just be sure to give credit where due.

Well done. Very well done

I would recommend it. The basic operation is the same, but the syntaxes are completely different.

Greetings, Kwon. Everyone here is quite friendly. I do hope we can be of service.

Greetings, to my minions and others! Today, I am announcing a new game I am working on; with a couple minions and an unnamed associate. I don't want to give away too many details, but it is NOT a JRPG. Instead, this will be a mystery, starring the legendary Sherlock Holmes and his faithful companion Dr. Watson. I plan on releasing more details as the days go by; but currently I am ironing out the story, and gathering images. Please, wish me luck on this project, as it is a leap in a new direction for the maker itself; much like the Labyrinth system I have been working on. At any rate, I will be leaving a message again in the near future. Until then, take care all.

actually RGSS2 is easier to use and different than RGSS. same basic concept, but syntaxes vary. Because of this, you can get an understanding, but you can't do a direct copy of the code.

Rand(Joey) + Rand(Kiriashi) = hilarity.

Your error says you were using $game_party.remove_actor_to_party(actor_id) It is supposed to be: $game_party.remove_actor_from_party(actor_id) Not bolding it to sound condescending, but to show the error. it is easily missed

That's what I'm here for. Making people cry... er... Helping people! Anyway, the reason i screwed up before is simple: I had the old version...
-
what line in your copy of the script is 288? what does the line sya? Mine says: self.contents.font.color = disabled_color WAIT! Try this instead (my copy was out-dated... go figure!): $game_party.locked.delete(n) where 'n' is the actor's ID number.
-
and if you could, what the line says. this is more important than the line number.
