  1. Okay, so I was hungry, and a friend threw me a Starbucks Via Packet to eat. For those who don't know, it's basically coffee grounds that you add hot water to... http://www.youtube.com/user/docdeadman?feature=mhum#p/a/u/0/SFS84lwf4N0 Enjoy.
  2. I mean my friends and family here. With money so tight this year, I am just hoping what I did get they will like.
  3. I want everyone to appreciate what little I could get them this year.
  4. I got Fallout 3 lately, and yet to play it. Been busy w/ FFXIII still...
  5. I know i've dropped amany games. Now, I am working on one that is seriously, maybe 15-20 maps in size. I'm hoping small projects will get finished.
  6. Greeeeetings. Welcome to the site.
  7. Welcome back. I know how it feels to have hard drives crap out... my ps3's HDD is skipping... <_<
  8. My apologies, this game is for the 360/PS3. They say it tends to lag at times with the 360, and only VERY seldom with the PS3. I have yet to experience that problem, so I cannot validate it for certain.
  9. I agree with Kage. I dismissed FFXIII until I was so bored, that I finally borrowed it from a friend. Now, I am to the point of buying it off of him, I enjoy it that much. I hit chapter 11, and the game blew wide open. There is no way to explore previous areas, but how often do you get that option, even in life? Honestly, I find FFXIII a rather decent game. Only thing I don't like is gaining gil is a seldom occurance, but definately makes sense and works for the game. In fact, I rather enjoy the setup of this game. It concentrates on the story, much like I think an RPG should; rather than the adventure. If I want adventure, I'd recommend an ADVENTURE game. lol.
  10. They better have a good set of games released to make a good mark on the world.
  11. All right, I just picked up my copy of Castlevania: Lords of Shadows, and thought I'd share my first impressions of the game, in case anyone was thinking of picking up the game. I have just spent 2 hours playing and reached around 4% completion, and here are my thoughts: Graphics: 9.5/10 A truly gorgeous game, graphic-wise. With the rain, the outfits' renderings, and even the creatures' hair, it is truly beautiful. However, the facial graphics of the characters could do with more detail. They seem to clean and 'pure'. Sounds/Music: 9.75 The music and sounds of this game are remarkable. The voice acting is perfect, especially with the inclusion of Patrick Stewart. The only thing missing is a good piano number. Granted, it is still early in the game. Gameplay: 7.75/10 Unoriginal, but fluent for the most part. There is no camera control, which is a large hitch. Further, combat is much like a God of War game, where it is attack, heavy attack, and combos. It also accents the combo's finishing move by slowing down a tick for emphasis. Overall, the system works well, but lack of camera control hurts. As for the roll of the story, it is divided into chapters, and each chapter divided into sections; and you can go back to replay each section at your will. What sweetens that, is once the level is beaten, it unlocks trials to try your luck at beating the level their way. Story: N/A I cannot evaluate story. I mean, c'mon, only 2 hours in, and all it says is the basic story. Gabriel Belmont is sent by the Brotherhood to a mystic lake that allows him to commune with the dead. I don't want to give away more than that, or why, for those who are playing. I will add on to this later. Overall, it has been a good game. Graphically, it is beautiful, as is the music. Gameplay could have used more tinkering, but it does work. I do hope this helps in understanding the mechanics of the game, for anyone who wants to consider its purchase. Further, if anyone does play it, please, give your own review.
  12. You asked for 'brutally honest'.... so please, bear in mind, I want this as positive as possible. DON'T get discouraged! My maps were worse than this at one point... First: Is there a reason it is round? I mean, if it is a man-made cavern, i can see it being symetrical, but in nature, very VERY seldom is anything as such. Second: I recommend some more stalagmites. Third: Where is the water coming from? I mean, if the water is sitting there stagnate, it would eventually freeze in an ice cave. If it is flowing, it won't freeze. Again, I am just doing as you asked. I don't want you getting discouraged. There is always room for improvement. :alright:
  13. Welcome back. Now.. Back to work! jk. good to see you.
  14. Ryan! Missed ya! Surely hope this return is permanent.
  15. What the heck? I'll give this a shot. Kiri has wanted me to finish my pursuit of a project I was working on, but I am uncertain if it is worth it. Maybe a not-so-bias review will perk me back up: Name: Elements of Travance Engine: RmXP Author: Leon Genre: RPG No Cover art.
  16. I'm surprised I won... Cool. Thank you, everyone.
  17. Greetings. You know, with all this new blood, there will come new ideas... hopefully.

  21. Yo, welcome. You are welcome to this glorious site.
  22. In a nutshell, the EULA of EA's pc games, among a couple other companies, include a phrase saying you cannot sell your copy of the license, and the Supreme courts have ruled that the EULA will stand. HOWEVER!! I pulled out my own copy of Red Dead. In the article, it says this: "THIS SOFTWARE IS LICENSED, NOT SOLD," reads the license agreement on Red Dead Redemption. (Capital letters in original.) "You agree not to: (a) Commercially exploit the software; (b) Distribute, lease, sell, rent or otherwise transfer the software, or any copies of the software, without the express consent of the licensor." (Emphasis added.) What it negates, is this at the end of that line: (b) Distribute, lease, sell, rent or otherwise transfer the software, or any copies of the software, without the express consent of the licensor. or as set forth in this Agreement. Because of that last clause, the next part of the EULA applies (reference): However, you may transfer the entire Software and accompanying documentation on a permanent basis to another person as long as you retain no copies (including archival or backup copies) of the Software, accompanying documentation, or any portion or component of the Software accompanying documentation, and the recipient agrees to the terms of this Agreement. The Software is intended for private use only. So, what this means is, if I sell my copy of RDR, by law, I cannot keep the Deadly Assassin outfit it came with (Gamestop reservation), I cannot keep the soundtrack, the map/poster, or any of that. I have to give it ALL up. Now, although yes, this is in effect now; this doesn't stop companies from later saying you cannot sell it at all; or the courts ruling against hte process of used console games in the future. On a side note: This coincides with the ROM debate. Any games that have that afore mentioned phrase, it is illegal to CREATE a rom or iso from it for public dispersal.
  23. I found this article when browsing. IT is rather interesting... how EA can start such crap. Their EULA starting this...
