haha :P Well then, the latest version is Finale 2008, if you're interested in...errr..."attaining" it :). There are other programs too that you can use, which would probably be much more simple for someone who can't read music. But, Ark, if you ever want a piece custom written, I'd be happy to :).

uh-oh nephilems here watch out now ;)
BiddyPocket replied to Nephilem's topic in Introductions and Farewells
Hey Neph, Welcome to the forums :). You say you started the FF series with FF 8...did you try 7? or 6? Those two are unarguably two of the best! Also, I'd suggest typing more grammatically correct. Just makes things easier for the readers of your posts. -
Well, first you have to host them. I suggest getting an online site like photobucket - thats what I use. From there, you get the IMG code that it generates and put it in your post. Lots of people put them in Special item "spoiler" tags as to decrease loading time when someone is viewing the page. If you need help actually taking screenshots then I don't think I can be of much help. What I do is go into my game, and when I have a good shot I press "print screen" (on a PC) which automatically copies the screen as a picture. Then I go into Infran view (you can use photoshop or something too) and crop the image I want, then upload it, etc. There's probably an easier way, but I don't know what it is :)

Do you use a PC? Do a system recovery.

The Red Violin... If you hate classical music, you'll probably hate it, but if it's a great film.
-
aww, Thanks Ark! I would, but the thing is...I can't just teach it. Composing just comes naturally to some, and not that I'm some super famous composer, or plan to be, but I can't tell people what melodies will sound good with what and blah blah blah. I could teach theory, but hell, there are better tutorials on that out there. I suggest just listening to a lot of classical music - I'd be happy to recommend some :). Besides, the program I used costs over $200.00 (over $700.00 if you're not a student).

Hey all!... okay, so sorry to bump this, but I wanted to let you all know about the update! YAY!!! I bet everyone thought I forgot :P. Anyway, it isn't much, but in the first post I've added some screenshots of the first few maps. There are a TON more, but you'll have to wait for a demo to see those :P. I'm actually almost done with my mapping for the demo, so I should probably have a demo out by March (hah, I hope!). Let me know what you think :)

Believe it or not, "hermaphrodite" is actually considered by some to be a derogatory term. I don't know if its true for the population as a whole, but I know some do not like to be referred to it.

Hey all, so while creating my castle for my game, I realized something - there are no side-railing tiles in the castle set, and this upsets me greatly. I'd like to make a balcony that you can walk on, but there seems to be no way to do it without a side-railing tile. Does anyone have any suggestions / know of a castle expansion that includes a railing or something that would work? Thanks all! ~Joe

Gay Marriage - Yes? No? Maybe so?
BiddyPocket replied to BiddyPocket's topic in Debate and Mature Discussion
HAHA!! I love it. As for your stereotype of gays, it's only half true......I do wear pink ;)...sometimes....I only have one pink shirt, haha. And I love your thought process on how gay marriages would work out better, because men understand eachother. Unfortunately, gay men are more like women, so it's not entirely true...but you'll see a lot of lesbians who seems to fit that mold (interestingggg). :D -
I'm still in the mourning process... It's so terrible! He was such a beautiful man :(
-
ahh....well, in that case, yes, it still happens in that mode :(
-
errr...how do I play the game on normal play? :P. I've only been test playing it for right now...

I'm sorry to bump this, but the walls still aren't working....even after I change the passability, or the priority, or whatever...it still doesn't work. :(
-
What an interesting introduction! Welcome Whoopie :)

Haha, Thanks guys! I just wrote another one, too - it's jazzy and stuff. I'm so excited to make my demoo!!!....which will only take me a million years!! And yeah, I didn't know where to post it. I didn't want to put it in audio packs so I just put it here :P . If you guys need music don't hesitate to submit a request :)

RMXP Unlimited MMORPG
BiddyPocket replied to ryanrulz_11's topic in Feedback, Bug Report and Forum Help
I'll write some custom music for you guys if you wish :). Check out my composing services thread - I finally have some samples up! -
Alright red-eyes, the project is underway! Though, I think it might be a bit too intense for what you're asking. I'll send you longer sample later. Anyway, here's a sample of my music everyone! http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/index....amp;showfile=52 And no, you may not use this song in your games.

I've tried that too, and in some cases it works, but there are still a number of walls that I can walkthrough. I just built a house, an on the inside he can walk across the bed, through the wall, and into another room >_<.

For some reason, I keep getting the same problem....I think it has to do with the 4-directional passage section in the database, though I'm not sure. No matter how many times I delete a certain section, the character can still walk through it! I don't understand....it's set to not let anything pass. It's either that, or the priority. Can either of those make characters walk through tiles?

Alrighty, so here goes...my first map! don't be cruel, I just got the game yesterday, lol. It's the Agron Flats, a desolate down at the base of a massive volcano. What do you think? Agron Flats

I left the passability settings and stuff like they were... :( It should work, right?

Here's a basic tutorial on it. Start with this, and then fool around with it and see what you can do: STEP 1: Download Terragen V 0.9.43. STEP 2: Open Terragen. Once you open it, X-out of any windows that come up. You'll use them, but it's just confusing with so many things open. Just make it so that it's a blank workspace. STEP 3: Click on "view" up top and click on "Landscape" STEP 4: Choose a Landscape Here is the main tool that will set up all of the land. On the bottom half of this window it says "Surface Map." This is what kind of terrain you want. Click on "open" and select the type of terrain you want. For now, let's do "grass and snow." Now, it should appear in the window space on the bottom. From there, you can double click any of the options and fool around with the texture of the land, color, etc. We'll make a snowy landscape, so click on the "Grass" part and remove it (click remove on the right). STEP 5: Generate the Terrain Towards the top of this window will be "Generate Terrain" - click it. From here you can alter the terrain. I'm not sure what all of it means yet, but for right now on the right you can see that you can change some of the characteristics of it. Play around with it and then check the box "use random origin each time" on the bottom of the window. Then, click "generate terrain" STEP 6: Adjust Now, look back on the previous window. You'll see a square with black and white splotches - that's the terrain. The lighter it is, the higher altitude it is. Now, you can fool around with it by changing everything from the atmosphere to setting fog, etc. For now, let's just make the map. STEP 7: Making the map When you've altered the land to your liking, click "view" at the top and click "Rendering Control" and immediately move the bar under the image that says "Render Preview" all the way to the right - this will ensure maximum detail in your picture. On the right are all camera techniques and things. You can change the height of the camera, where the camera is positioned, etc. If you look on the bottom right you'll see the same black-and-white blotchey image from before. If you click here, you'll set up the camera's position. You can make it zoom in and out or adjust the exposure. Click somewhere on the map and adjust where you want the camera to go Note - it will always focus towards the center, what you're moving is the position of the camera. Then, click "Render preview" STEP 8: Making an image If you like what you see then change the image size to what you'd like (In RMXP it must be at least 600 pixels high to fit a panorama image, but the width is up to you. It should be fairly long, like 1200+. When you're ready, click "Render Image." It will take a little bit to load, especially if it's a big picture, but when it's done a window will pop up an you'll know it's finished. From there, you can save it, import into RMXP, and voila - you're done! I suggest downloading a program like Infranview or something so that you can crop images if you'd like. It's just a good thing to have in general, especially for stuff like this. Here's what I came up with! - Snow Mountain
