  1. Topic temporarily closed. I need to ask Allen Hunter something....
  2. Emily!!!! I take this as your official return :P Just kidding. Its good to see you back into making games though :)
  3. Does it have a motion sensor? I know at least with the ipod touch's you can shake them to change songs.
  4. omgosh. The site didn't go down this time! Happy bday and stuff !

  5. Sure, I get what you're saying. I even caught your edited second post, and most developed countries have that problem. I said they don't get health care because its been well documented how bad and cruel the American health system can be. But that does't matter. The video portrays Mexicans in a bad light - you are not permitted to post offensive material on this forum.
  6. Ok, I understand what you're saying now. But from my point of view watching that video, he says 'Mexicans'. I think the video is highly offensive to mexicans. That's all I'll say because i dont want to get into a silly argument about interpretations. It portrays them in a bad light. I'm also pretty sure you don't have free health care, but thats besides the point.
  7. Franklin, you must find it upsetting that this site has an admin who doesn't live in the US. I am being serious here, I want you to reply or PM me all the reasons why you think that video was appropriate to post.
  8. rmxpunlimited.net will be around for at least 1 more year

You're the backbone of this site Mark, without you it would just crumble :(

Well if you leave Mark, can I have your backbone? The backbone of a man like yourself would be damn good in some stew.

  9. No Franklin, I just told you I was going to close this topic if you guys kept going off topic and you both blatantly ignored my post. I think the worst part of it is that you are arguing over the spelling of a word, honestly, who cares? Topic closed.

    Fail

Funny, apart from the couple done by 13 year olds.
  11. Oh ok, that clears things up a bit :) Yes, its much different here.
  12. I'm about to close the topic unless you guys want to get back on topic.
  13. Yes, you'll be happy to know it will be hosted at RPG Crisis after the merger.
  14. To be honest, I enjoyed gRaViJa's video the best. I think that with a video trailer competition there is room for different types of trailers and its really the cinematic effect that sells it. For example, you could show very little if any game play and have an amazing video, if even unrelated to the game, and people are still going to like that better. It was close for me between gRaViJa and rgangsta. Though rgangsta, that video in your blog was really good too.
  15. oh sh*t i forgot all about renewing the domain name. Er.. There may be some downtime... :(

lol dw i just left it a bit late... completely forgot, but as long as the payment clears within a day we'll be good.

  16. I'm not too sure what they have... Though I think I went there once or twice, its just a project listings right? I'm pretty certain mine will have more features because its more about creating your own 'club', and I'm getting awfully good at proper ajax coding  What are indie games? Including RPG Maker games? Naaah come on, whats the apps link for :P :P TELL ME. Oh I forgot to say, the design is brilliant. Looks real good. You should design one for this site :)
  17. Well it's kinda extremely obvious what the site is for. And from your single demonstration page, I can tell you I'm developing something very very similar. An application where you show off your games and its kind of like a mini website for that game. However the focus of mine is team management and customization of your mini-website. I guess we'll soon be in competition :)
  18. Well you can do it that way but its not really very efficient. Firstly, you cannot have a fluid (percentage) width so you need a fixed width and this should be accordance with the modern standard which is about 960px, you'd have to edit your image for that. Another way it lacks efficiency is that you'll never get proper content in there because its limited to the size of that box. One image is both smaller to load and less http requests but you have to balance convenience and speed. Have you heard of CSS sprites? If you're too stubborn to move away from your single image website, then CSS sprites are what you need to look into :alright:
  19. Thanks for all the comments :) I'm glad this got so many. A club is actually like a little website, at least that is the idea behind it at the moment. So far I'm keeping you guys up to date with it. Only guests (of the club) will see the homepage. But club members will have access to their own chat, forum and team management/organization page (which was the main purpose of the application to begin with). After coming close to completing adding the project details, the club owner will be faced with 4 different pages: General details, characters, screenshots and a demo upload. The uploading systems will need to be kind of complicated and so need their own sections. I will post a completed project module once I'm finished with it. So far it is all down apart from screenies and the demo download
  20. As I've been blogging about recently I am creating an application which allows you to display information about your projects. I'm just about to wrap up that part of the application but I need 2 lists that I'm probably not capable of creating myself. In the application you will be able to choose what engine you made your project with and what genre it is (RPG, Action, Horror). Or perhaps there should be 2 genre boxes? For example, in the first box you chose RPG, then you chose from another list of say: horror, comedy, remake, fan-game, etc. I really need some advice here :) Also if you guys could add any popular engines or engines you have used before that are not on this list: RMXP RMVX Game Maker Express Game Maker RM2k (does anyone still use this?) RM3k (or this?) Action/Indie Game Maker Thanks in advance :alright:
  21. You like replying to Franklin, dont you? :P I think what I do is more nerdy than gaming. Nerd ignoring any definition except for how most people would perceive it. I dont like or play games. But I spend a heck of a lot of time writing PHP code, but its purely for this site. But I do not have any aspirations to become a programmer, my only goal is to improve this site for the awesome members who've been so loyal. In real life I study law and finance and soon I'll be out for good. Since I was a young kid I've been making games, but this site ironically took that from me, and now I've grown up on this site (from 15, turning 21 this year =.=) and grown out of games. Wish my successor would show up. :P
  22. this really looks pro, nice work on this rgangsta :) Did you make the logo yourself? Thanks for all the RMXPUnlimited mentions in the trailer :D I'm glad to see we have some loyal members here. By the way, what software did you use to create the trailer?
