I used Opera's element inspector and didn't get any javascript error. Its an error in the javascript. I think when you use the jQuery syntax $('#ID') to get the id of an element, in this case, that id isn't found. Does it still function normally? I use firefox, so its only tested in that browser.. I was going to take a look in other browsers, but like i said, I burned out :sweatdrop:

Good evening forum goers, I have been thinking of a new homepage concept. At the moment we just have news and a few things in the sidebar. What I'm thinking of is something similar to the ever popular new grounds: http://www.newgrounds.com/ They have a lot of content available right there for you. So what I'm thinking of is for the homepage for the one stop for all your content. We sort of do have a lot of content, at least a lot of potential content (if we were more active). Particularly if we highlight individual forums posts, just as projects and contests. Lets see.. we have blogs, gallery posts, downloads submissions, script submissions(via website), forum content divided by engine prefixes. That is more or less the gist of it. What do you guys think? The point of this entry is to get a few comments. Also, we'd trial removing the forums sidebar because all of that content would be shifted to the homepage.

Well according to the records I was the fourth person to start a topic despite creating the forums. But we had members transfer from our invisionfree forum while I was getting things sorted. @rgangsta: Upload capability is possible, but I'm not sure its worth the time. For example, you could just make your tileset in this, if you missed something, just open it up in image editing software and add the tiles you never had. But I think I could make uploadable tiles. However, I probably won't allow user submissions to the database of tiles, unless somoneone is willing to moderate submissions. EDIT: Oh I think I see what you mean. Its called 'revert' when they jump back into position, when they revert they do not go back to their original position. Which is annoying. But if they don't you can just move them back yourself, right? And by the way I forgot to mention, you double-click a tile to delete it from your tileset. Also, what browser are you using? Your tiles are out of alignment which is quite odd. I didn't think you get them to not snap to that grid. Thanks for reporting the error. @Broken Messiah: The issue is that the majority of tiles will be larger than 32x32px. I wish I had let you do the shop tileset because that took ages extracting all of those 32x32 tiles. If you look at the bridge tileset, there is literally 3 32x32 tiles that aren't already in the database, the rest need to be grouped together. So is your method still possible to cut out those tiles larger than 32x32?

Hey guys, Last week I spent some pretty insane hours working on the tileset maker. Mainly because I can't really code javascript and there is nearly more javascript than PHP in this thing. I haven't worked on it over the last few days coz I've really burned out. Too much sitting at the computer for my likeing, and I go back to uni on monday. So I'm letting you guys play around with it prematurely, and setup a poll whether you guys think that its worth finishing and cutting out more tiles. This is alpha testing (i guess its alpha stable, probably not quite) and I have limited the testing to members with 50 posts or more. Before you guys test it, there are a few things you need to know. Searching for tags that DONT exist will break it Selecting a category without tiles will break it Filters that dont return any tiles break it, not sure why, will fix this later... You can use the same tiles over (requested by Kiriashi) I think there are some page number issues The loading image's background is the wrong color (this really bugs me, considering i chose the color...) search for 'rtp' in the tags, followed by 'rtp,decoration' to test multi-tag search feature So far there are approx. 50 tiles from the 1st 2 RMXP tilesets and 150 from the shop tileset That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I would appreciate it if you guys voted in the poll, gave me feedback, and reported errors in case there are some that I don't know it yet. Good call Franklin. The quake in NZ 3 weeks ago was actually on the same tectonic plate, but this quake as reported is 8,000 times more powerful (though I think more people died from the NZ quake if you exclude japans tsunami). Also did you guys know that fish thing also happened in NZ... I heard as well the quake went for around 2 and a half minutes which is pretty insane. Having being in both the NZ quakes I really couldn't imagine it... Thank goodness it was out to sea. I think it was pretty abnormally shallow. If you look at the largest quakes in history, you're getting around 30k deep, but this was 10k, making the shaking above much much worse.

Yeah, what Pol said, that's why I'm against them. If a member could actually sustain a class I have no problem. If you guys think I'm against this sort of thing, thats not it at all, I'm a realist. If someone's doing something beneficial then I'll be more than happy help to promote that. Its not very difficult to get me to set up a section lol all I want in return is for them to do what they say they're going to do. However I'm against the idea of students. In fact its silly. Why help a handful of members who're probably going to give up unless you're truely masterful (can create classes that will hold their attention, produce them fast enough, and actually create better game makers: which is hard to do via text). I mean, the only point to it is getting attention. This is the wrong business for that. Alternatively you can have thousands of students over a long period of time, you just wont get the recognition. Its a very fair trade off. Don't be deterred by a lack of attention. Everyone including bots can read all our topics and we've got some decent SEO, they will be read. Still interested? :rolleyes:

Yeah I heard about this on Broken Messiahs site. It's going to be interesting how site admins are going to handle the content when its illegally released. I wonder if they decided to do this rather than start a new engine...

Well maybe its odd... but I kinda get it. I think they were talking about putting that on our census, well people wanted it, but it was declined. Some people do not identify themselves as male or female, whether they are born with both genitalia or think they are the opposite sex trapped in the wrong body for example. Its not that uncommon. Good on firefox for recognizing these people.

Ah yeah, you and mandanchi are from england. I thought it was because its a TV program, so they check the age you set on your youtube account? That amount of nudity though, and their apparent actions, does make it look pretty close to pornograhpy.

I'm 20. And in terms of being here the longest, of course its me... :unsure: I'm member #1. I think lammorra takes it out. She was first of all not lying about her age, and was an active member for a while. A good one too. Thats why I gave her a life time subscription.
