Yeah I was testing what it would look like here as well as the color scheme. I have already began work on the skin for the forum, which will look similar to above. The challenging part will be making the header and member bars identical across both. This will actually be a semi-major update. To achieve an identical skin, I have to have the same menus. For this I have to use and rewrite my menu hook. I will then completely change the menu to suit the forums too(links to forum stuff, so we're syncing our navigation), and for the links to work on the forum i need to install a component which creates friendly urls as well as redirecting from all of the old urls. Which is essential as we would get a lot of 404's from search engines, and that would stop traffic coming in. Yeah, its a big job.

Hey guys, As I have stated recently, I am planning on creating an new skin for the site. Here's what it should look like within the near future: This shows only the website, but I plan for this to be forums skin as well. What do you guys think?

We aren't going to do all of these, that really wouldn't work. But we'd like to add some more monthly events, maybe 1 or 2, that the majority of members will enjoy. So i think we're looking for the top few events that we can start.

By an attraction alone, you cannot class someone as homosexual or heterosexual. Therefore it has to be said they are displaying attributes of that sexuality. He's not being serious, and some members will take offense to "I hate white people". It is interesting how a race can use a racist term against each other. Perhaps the meaning of the word will change over time as those parts in history become older.

I'm unsure about dating. I'd do socializing-gaming. Although, it can be argued that is what a forum is, so maybe the dating idea is a good choice. But i never really understood the online dating thing. For you guys who want to start RM websites, give it a go! This forum was started without any website knowledge whatsoever. There are plenty of free forum websites out there, we started on invisionfree.

Like I said in your other topic similar to this one, it should not be aloud. Minors should not be exposed to it at an early age. It will only confuse them. There is also the argument of what it will do to that generation. No one can really answer this question because it requires LGBT to be either right, or wrong. So if such things were common and minors were exposed to it like regular relationships, then perhaps a great deal more of that generation will grow up and consider all sexes an option for a relationship. So that is sort of saying if it is in our culture, it will become our culture. But who decides whether that is right or wrong? I also don't think it will ever happen. If one (noticeable) instance of it ever did, it would be complained off. Perhaps ever legal action against that station. To the other members who posted in this topic: We are talking about all ages here, not just adults or mature viewers. At certain times the content comes on, and it is practically unavoidable and we are of course exposed to it. Do you think ages of 5-10 for example should be exposed?

Ok, here's how you can do it: Timer.zip In this demo you have 3 control events at the top of the map. It should be noted that these use the trigger parallel process, so the game does not freeze. In the first event, the variables are setup exactly how you want them. Every 20 frames (appox. 1sec) the minutes variable is increased by 1. Once the mintues variable gets to 60, it resets to 0 and the hours variable is increased by 1. I have set up this particular demo to turn on the a switch when the hour variable = 1, so test the demo and wait on the map for a minute to test it. The other two control events set this up. By the way, this is very bad way to create a day/night if that is what you're trying to do. For the system to work on more than one map, you have to the copy the event to all of those maps. It isn't very efficient, and there are scripts for this. But this demo does do what you originally wanted, its just very limited. For example, because you didn't request it, the hours variable will continue to go up and not reset at 24.

I think some members get worried whether their topic is serious enough to go in the cafe, so they play it safe and post it in spam. This is regardless of my Rules and How to use the Spam forum. But I think it's just the culture of this forum and its members, so to enforce the rules of that topic would stop a lot of posting. My interpretation of a spam forum is no discussion, just silly ridiculous posts. But it's fair to say that on this forum this is not the case, and perhaps the post count should come back into the spam forum. Anyway, if someone can find another forum starting with "rmxp" apart ours and rmxp.org, I'll give them 10 points. :( We need to move with the times and change our domain, as we may be the last of the RMXP's.

Unfortunately not a great deal of us are decent scripters. When it comes to a confliction between two custom scripts, your best bet is to contact the author. I don't know about Mr Mo but Tricker is around somewhere. Try and find him on hbgames.org or rmvxp.com. You could also try and send him an email from his profile on this forum. That is if no one here can offer a solution.

Great :) Yeah, friendly URLs are almost more trouble than they're worth. I changed it to reflect the new style of URL. UPDATE: Sotra good news. The next release of this component will be a full front-end component, and will be much more stable. In the next version all of the fields will be automatically generated and therefore work across all content types. That means once I create the projects and reviews section, the component will be ready to use for users to submit their stuff. This is an exciting update, these will be major sections on the site. :) It's going to take me a while to write it though. I want to code it well, so it will take a long time and research of how to do some things.

Hi everyone, Today I am going to release an alpha version of the Script Submit component. It was a rainy day today, so I thought I'd stay and see if I could get this done. I have talked about it a lot and even uploaded two videos on youtube about it. The main reason I have been putting off this content sections(Script archives, Projects, Reviews) is because of a recent release of a new version of the software which is used to generate the content. I have to learn it over again, and it will take ages before I decent, stable section is released. So I made this thing in a day to allow members to submit their scripts into the RGSS Script archives. Features include multiple category selection, multiple Screenshot uploads and of course forum integration. Now, like i said this is alpha. Which means its probably very buggy, and not tested very much. I worked almost immediately from my test site to here, which I'm very pleased with. I only did one test where I tested every element, and everything worked except screenshots, which I think is because of how they're stored. Hey guys, It's been a while since the last major update, and nothing much has really been happening, so I'll try to write a little insider on what's to come. First of all is a new, global skin. As I said in my last blog entry, it should be difficult to distinguish the website from the forum. It will also be a completely new look, but this will take some time to develope. I don't necessarily design skins myself, because if someone can do it better, then why do it yourself? Instead I like to get a whole bunch of ideas for other skins and websites, and merge them into a nice looking skin. The current skin for example has parts or ideas taken from at least 4 other skins. I'm going to be going for a gamer looking skin, and multiple banners like we had before(hopefully of VX,DS,XP characters). Next on the list is a forum restructure. I'm really sorry to say. I keep doing this, but I'm just not happy with whatever forum structure we use. The current system seems to confuse the newbies about where to post support topics, even though there is a category named "Engine Support". The RGSS Scripts category is in hibernation. I would like to expand on Game Development in general, and I don't think we will continue to support RMDS or Indie Game Maker. At least not on the forums. One thing I would like to have here at RMXPUnlimited is the ability to run without a forum. In fact more guests view the Scripts Archive(on the website) than topics. In the future will have complete sections for projects, project reviews, and scripts. A few days the software I'm going to use to do this released a major upgrade, and it is a very powerful content creation tool. When the projects section is completed, users will of course be able to submit their own projects. One possible feature is to have a topic generated from this, and this is how a project is posted on the forum. At least major topics. There will also be another whole website just for projects, which will be accessible by a subdomain. I won't go into any further detail about these major content sections, but it is the main project for the year.

Unfortunately that tileset is long gone, I've been through 3 computers since. Though it is possible i have it on my old computer, which i do have, but very very unlikely. If it's any consolation, it was a crappy tileset anyway.

Tilesets? Yes there is an issue with the Gallery settings that shrinks the image, for some reason. Unfortunately the only thing you can do is PM the uploaded or make a request topic. The uploaded images are useless.

HMMM I just realized that it is very difficult for the MOTM mod to show a frequent visitor that the MOTM has moved from nominating to voting. I'm thinking about making another version. This time we could display nominees, and their votes, come voting time. EDIT: Pol I just had the coolest idea! Ok, so if you set a closing date for these voting topics, we could have a countdown till voting ends. Similarly for when nominations end. By countdown I mean a timer that decreases on the page. What do you think ?
