I'm not sure if that is a con. It's saying that VX is easier to use out of the box in comparison to XP. But being able to make games without learning the program at all is asking a bit much. With just a bit of practice, you will find XP very simple to use.

Yeah, well Hai's post is rather concerning. I've actually noticed that very few new members are posting. And from experience on this forum, when just the regulars post the post count per day will drop dramatically as well as low quality posts. Its gives the forum a timeline.

We have refined the RGSS sections for RPG Maker XP and RPG Maker VX to the following categories: Custom Menu Scripts Any scripts that mess with the menu system Custom Component Scripts Any scripts that add unique systems to the game Custom System Scripts Any scripts that change the core system of the game, like weather scripts Custom Battle Systems [ self explanatory Actor Enhancement Anything that changes the actor growth and abilities Misc Any scripts that do not fall under the above categories These changes were made because there were a lot of categories that were unused and likely to remain unused for a long time, and to make it easier to users to browse the scripts. Special thanks to Leon for coming up with the category structure.

How late do you get up? Since I'm on holiday at the moment, I get up generally between 12pm and 2pm :) . I get up and have some good old weetbix and generally within the next hour I'll have lunch. I got up at 4pm the other day.

They aren't setup so well at the moment, so please no one purchase any. You may not know this Kiriashi, but isaacsol hosts this site. So I do not need a donation, and I wouldn't really be comfortable with receiving money since my personal cost to run this site is a domain name each year. And thats only 20 bucks for me, no big deal. But if you want to pay off my student loan, then we'll talk. What I meant by saying "I plan on keeping RMXP Unlimited running for at least one more year" is simply that we have a domain name for another year. I don't have a clue as to how long the site will last, and I've had doubts it will last another year. I'm surprised it has been going this long, and I think most the staff who have been here basically the whole time will agree. It will be 3 years in October.

Not much info on the game... but I'll play it once it's release.

Wow, not since the days of Ryanrulez which was in 2007. Eventually I gave up on the concept. We have an average of 7 members registering every day, so I think people can find the site. The wrong people perhaps. Also about 11,000 pageviews a week. At the moment those pageviews are evenly distributed between the website and forum with the forum getting 52% of pageviews. As a community we really do struggle. With a small forum structure activity doesnt really boom. So it makes sense to do the opposite with a larger one, so far proving no more efficient or no less. Actually though, im not entirely worried about activeness, as long as its high enough to keep the community going. I'm happy with things at the moment, even if we are tiny compared to other RMXP sites. Thats not to say I want it to stop growing and I dont have ideas and goals left :D Every little bit helps :)

You cannot nominate RMXPirate. No doubt he is a very helpful member, but as he has not made a post this month, I don't think he can be nominated for member of the month.

Hey Punk :) Recently we did make a huge forum restructure. The topic is here: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=2157 To be honest the reason for this was no one was posting anymore, or perhaps a phase of inactivity which seem to often get, so it was back to the drawing boards for us. The idea behind the new forums was to make it more of a social forum, as well as keeping the Rpg Maker ones and also a few others. The reason for making it more of a social forum is to compensate for lose of interest in RPG Maker. Yes, I'd have to agree.

I'm glad you're satisfied with them. So you've heard of the points system right? It's something we're trying to get going here, and this situation would the perfect example of how it could work. You have more than twice as many points as any other member, so would you like to make a donation for our work?

It makes people paranoid. So bad luck happens because they think it will anyway. It doesn't effect me since I have no perception of the date because I'm on holiday. :)

I stuck some old charactersets together and tried to base it on the picture you posted above. And I stole Nisage's book :P

Just out of curiosity, what do you want the character to look like? Male/Female? Type of clothing? etc. Perhaps if you found an existing characterset and posted it here to give a reference of what you would like the character to look like, it would help.

Well it depends on the extension of the domain and what site you register it from. They are usually around 9.99USD for a year. But if you're unlucky enough to live in New Zealand and buy something in USD when there's a recession, it costs you double.

Well its understandable of you to ask, and at least now the members who read this know about getting points for the gallery. In fact you can get points for anything, any helpful or useful deed that we see a member do may results in points.

Today I renewed Rmxpunlimited.net for another year. So the good news is(for most of you), I plan on keeping RMXP Unlimited running for at least one more year. The bad news is, I left it to the last minute to renew it and so the transaction is pending. Apparently, it could take 2 business days for the transaction to clear, and as I've left this to the last minute and its a weekend, the site may go down until its cleared.

Do you remember the topic I made about how RMXP Unlimited attracts leechers and contributors? Well both of these members contributed something to the site and I gave them points for it. I gave Shade the Mysitc a point for each image he/she uploaded to the gallery. I'm unsure about blackspets, but this member may have contributed an article or two to the site.

Yup, and you're not the only one. I tried to do it with all the past staff members I could so they would be recognized as being on the staff team of RMXP Unlimited. I'm pretty sure you can change it once you reach a certain amount of posts. Its your "Custom member title" which you change in your control panel. Since the staff members are now members, they just go back to normal members. It's only necessary to have another group if their permissions are different from normal members. Are you thinking something like special permissions as a reward as being on our staff?

You got full permissions for the forum. Could you PM me a forum description? Also you cannot nominate me because i am an administrator. Once upon a time it was my job to fulfill all of the categories. But I sure will be on the look our for members to nominate. :)

Welcome back, Noob Saibot. I was wondering the other day if we'd another visit from you. I don't think you missed too much. Things certainly haven't been as dramatic as they have been in the past. We've had our ups and downs, but still chugging along! :D
