Do you think if a new member came to site and saw the logo it would make sense to them? Hmm. Blue's good. Your recolor is actually the original color of the round bit, coincidentally. So I was also thinking we could use a logo for RMXP Unlimited userbars and signatures and things, instead of making a logo and never seeing it again.

I was playing around with some ideas for a logo for RMXP Unlimited. So here's what i came up with: Do you get it? Its the infinity sign, so it represents the "unlimited" part. And it's got the green which is sorta the color of the forum since we've used the same skin for so long. So what do you guys think of it for a logo?

Perhaps this was bought about by the Member titles topic? Im sure your title was referring to your activity, you easily have the highest posts per day value followed by Nisage. And not referring to you posts as spam. Besides, there are exceptions if spamming does occur: -we don't have a pub, but that is referring to the social forums. My one complaint however would be the rick rolling.. We are advertising your contest on the website and the first thing new users to the site is the youtube video. Its a preference thing for me. That aside, you have an entire topic dedicated to bringing back your past posting type, and you even won member of the month because of it. The very first. You have of course the option to choose your own personality, but we'll be losing one that we all enjoyed.

Hey guys, im back after my 3 week break. Hows things going? Did i miss anything?? On my return I have noticed a few.. disappointing things. Firstly is Emily's topic: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=2418 There are many offtopic and spam posts in this thread, and mostly the active members here. I know that we are a relatively close forum where all the active members know each other, but we have to draw the line somewhere and have some kind of standard of topics here. Perhaps it wouldn't be bad if the topic was somewhere else, but it is in Debate and Mature Discussion and a serious topic made by our admin. Anyway... while I was away, I got to thinking. RMXP Unlimited needs a bit of maintenance done. I've been thinking about how to make some improvements and introduce some new and exciting features to our site, which I'm sure you will all like. I won't give out much information about my plans, because they may change due to my personal time restrictions, and my technique for coding php(guessing syntax until I eventually get it correct. Anyone notice their avatar on the website? Fluke). I'll make an announcement with the new developments. So.. how are you guys? I got a two week break, so I'll hang around for a bit :D

Wyzrd, perhaps you're too kind natured. We don't want members registering simply to download our files, but we also don't want members of the community required to have a certain post count to download either. I'm going to be gone for a while, once again... The reason is mainly university. I have a large feeling and really good reason to believe I am going to fail. And the difference from highschool is tens of thousands of dollars in debt, for absolutely nothing. I think if i pack away my computer and start cracking down on study I will be fine though. Either way I need to make some lifestyle changes, I honestly feel like I'm going crazy sometimes and I need to change many things. It's not like I do that much around here anyway, so not much will change. You probably just wont see me around and I will not be answering my PMs. And I also closed my MSN account for those who see me online. I have a break in 3 weeks from now, so I'll probably return then for a bit. Well I'm off to attempt to secure my future, wish me luck!

I've been doing this for a while... :( The permissions are correct. You can check if you like. The image in the first post does look like the permissions arn't set right, but I dont think they are getting that error anymore? I think the issue this topic is about is not being able to upload reasonably large files. I think 12MB+? When I tried testing it a few months back the page would time out or I would get an interrupted connection. I tried uploading a 30MB file about 3 times without any success. I didn't know you couldn't upload to the gallery anymore. It just came right?

Yeah, that would work. It would also make the filesize a lot smaller so we could have the logo in better quality without it taking too long to load.

Doesn't anyone look at where topics are posted anymore? I'll admit the RGSS Support forum could be a lot easier to find, but regular members? You know where it is... lol I wish I was going into a career that was also a hobby. I don't have that many hobbies, but I'm more of an outdoors person and I like things that include running. Especially stuff like touch rugby. You guys are probably going to hate me, but I find video games kinda boring. My brother has a PS3 but I rarely ever play it. I occasionally(once or twice a year) will play my old ps1 games from when I was younger. And when I play online shooter games they always say I suck through their headsets :( so i just hurl grenades at everyone. I think it uses up more energy sitting down playing games than going out for a run. I know which i prefer. :)

Welcome to RMXP Unlimited, monkeydlu. It's sad to hear about Rpgm. David had told me a month ago that he would put up a link for users to come here after he shut the site down, but at least things ended there on good terms.

We're not that harsh, are we? I'd say nearly 100% of all rules broken here are universal for all forums, so if a member does break one of those simple rules then they really do need to read them. Congratulations Emily. It's a nice milestone for you and rmxp unlimited. It makes our first seem small, doesnt it? Considering it had just over 2000 posts. What's wrong with your old username?

You're a smart one Pol. Sked, your gallery image count should equal the amounts you had. When you had uploaded 16 images, i gave you 16 points. I know it does seem uneven to get that amount of points when you only get 1 or 2 per topic/post depending which forum is posted in. I was also going to make it so you automatically get points per upload rather than me editing your points. Same with downloads manager uploads. I expect the forum structure to change soon, so i will be redoing the points value per forum. There are issues with the points system which are really doing my head in. Members cannot make transactions for some reason. To be honest I am really stretched for time. I started university last month, and usually im not on my computer. So you probably shouldn't expect too much from me...

I'm sorry to hear about that. During my time at highschool, two students that I knew died. One girl was killed by a horse who was my best friends ex-girlfriend and we use to see her a lot, and the other one was a girl in my PE class who died of a cancer that year. Other students died also while i was there, but not in my year. I suppose its a lot because my school only had 1200 students. It has a big effect on you, and its so sad. I drive usually more than an hour a day, and the road statistics are concerning. Just the other day a tractor going really slow on a motorway suddenly changed lanes in front of me and i had to break and change lanes to avoid a crash. If there was a car in the lane next to me, there may have been a crash. And my brother was with me, so its really serious. It almost feels like a lottery. Someone always gets the lottery... someone is always going to die. Its a cruel reality.

Its sounds to me that it's necessary. I agree with polraudios post. I think that if the management system operates well then there should be some progress. Also, from the time when I was involved in the project it was a big mess. There were topics for each attribute of the main character. What is the sex, what is the name, what is everything? etc. And that just slows things down. One person should be assigned this job, and the people above them should be able to chop and change as they see appropriate for the project. The good thing about those days was that there were members who were willing to participate. Perhaps there should be a sort of hierarchy? Head guy -> managers -> developers sort of thing. Thats just an idea to make sure progress is made. Its unnecessary if there is a team leader and then only project members working, and that works. The last thing I wanted to post about was something I found a while ago. Our website is powered by Joomla software. This module called TeamLog is for joomla, check it out: http://teamlog.yootheme.com/ I recommend watching the video at the bottom. Perhaps this would be an efficient way of keeping the project going. The other thing I was going to say is deadlines. One member has the task of storyline, set a deadline for it to be finished. And that way certain things get finished at certain times, and the project progresses.

I also disagree that it's unfair. He did create the contest, but this contest is about voting on who deserves the title of best member of month. I think each member excluding administrators should have the opportunity to win, as long as they deserve it.

Well lets see how the poll turns out first of all. If the users want it, the we'll put it up. The only problem I have is the undead guy battler on the right needs to be in the image and not cut off. You could make the banner up to 700px if you wanted, I dont think many users have a screen resolution that wouldn't fit that.

There is one member in particular who deserves to win this contest, and in my opinion is ahead of the others in terms of activity, contribution and the other categories.
