I'm logged in to drop box but I can't see it for some reason :( Say's the file doesn't exist. Perhaps another sharing method?

Actually each sprite requires only a 28px square that is repeating - the rest can be copy + pasted. I would probably attend to shading and corners myself, since this does not requiring any spriting. Therefore I'm really only looking for 3 - 4 28px square sprites. Thank you two for the offers. I am looking for a sprite that goes very close to representing the live thing, thus the bounty. Feel free to give it a shot if you are not confident, and I'd pay if I used it. On the other hand, if you are very confident you can produce the quality I'm after, then we can make an agreement prior to work starting. :)

Hello I have a spriting job for someone way more skilled than me at sprites. I have a client who sells framed products, and I need some sprites for a CSS image frame that - loops vertically and horizontally, as well as with the corners. - represent as close as possible to a real-life frame. Here's a wood one that I did (a spritesheet, just like RM): And here's the real-life equivalents: I'm looking for about 3 or 4 of them done. Please let me know if you have the skills!!!! Obviously I want them to be as realistic as possible. Thanks M.

Thank you all for the kind words. Took me a few days to check back in this topic. Coincidentally I watched all LotR and hobbit movies in the last few weeks. I actually live near a lot of the moutainous filming locations. Anyway, I will try to write the history once I get some spare time. @Pol & Bob: Hope you realize what the ring does to ppl O:

Hi all I've been thinking about this for a while and thought about it many times over the years. I feels like the time is right to cease my involvement with GDU. Which is kinda hard to do after 12 years and everything that has happened in my life as a result of learning how to develop web applications and generally as I basically grew up while running the site. I had really put a lot of effort into developing stuff like the refinery and in retrospect, that effort was misguided because it amounts to nothing if no one uses it. There were obviously a number of fatal flaws in my approach. Generally an inability to generate activity and trying to do so with applications which can only survive with continuous community involvement. I still feel like the market is really big, but somehow we are no longer relevant. I don't think I have the vision or time to be contribute anything useful here anymore. I don't really want to the site to turn into a ghost town artificially kept alive, like CA or sitepoint. I also want to write a history of GDU, from my perspective. I think some people might find it interesting. There were a lot of good guys, a lot of bad guys. The site is now in the hands of Pol and Bob. O/

You're right, I guess, and I suppose that it is ironic.. It's probs also better (and easier imo) to learn JS than ruby. But then again, I don't even know how you find time with five kids. Is the game for your kids?

Saltome is always rude (that's 1/2 of the reason we refer to him as "salty"). Lel. I must admit though, this is exactly the types of topics we were getting here in 2007. You could always warez the RPG Makers. There's no consequence to doing so. I'd only pay for software if I support the company and it was priced reasonably, and RMMV is certainly not. It's a more or less a bunch of JS built on third party libraries anyway.

Climbing Ladders in an IG Maker Platformer
Marked replied to MaverickHunterDBoy's topic in Engine Discussion
I remember when I was like 12 years old making this type of platformer: I'm pretty old these days, so my point is I wonder whether you've made the correct game engine choice. If you're an "uber noob", then presumably you do not have a strong affinity with the software. Communities like this one, are much, much, much better than the RPG Maker Forums. RPG Maker has always been either for "noobs" (your words) or talented game devs expediting the process because they dont want commit so much time (so its no wonder they never finish). I would therefore recommend doing some thorough research on your options regarding engines. -
The screenies at the first link don't exactly fill me with motivation. "Coming in 2018: the Action Game Maker that allows you to make games from the 90's!". Of course, that could be fixed with some nice graphics. Ripping sprites from a sweet as cheese game like jazz jack rabbit 2 would work a treat. I love those styles. Thanks for posting though, Kab.

Marked replied to rgangsta's topic in Computers, Internet and Tech Talk
*hijacks thread* I went ahead and bought that case. Here she is, sitting on my kitchen table which is a hack of a mess: I also bought a matching case for bae for her PC. -
Front-end improvements to the Games Section
Marked replied to Marked's topic in Announcements & News
True, it'd look pretty awesome if your page was cyberdrive red. I'll implement this when I get time (bit short of it at the moment :() -
I've done a little bit of messing around with what used to be Refinery profiles. I've pulled back some stuff that was there on launch back in 2016 to be more consistent with the design of the website. Original refinery profiles were a bit at odds with the rest of the site, coz there is ofc forum profiles and it just adds more clutter, really. I'm sure some of you are developing stuff but not posting to the refinery. Fix that, please? My vision for refinery profiles is to your game-dev portfolio. That's what you're building when you post to the refinery, while also updating the community on what you're working on as well as your game (if linked). Here is what the portfolio looks like at the mo': http://www.gdunlimited.net/refinery/people/ardaceus What's missing? What do you want to see? Why aren't you proud of looking at your profile and seeing your gamedev history? (maybe because you didn't post it?) I really want to build something here that people like you can include in their CV/Resume. Discuss!

'ello This morning I've done a bunch of improvements on the games section that have bugged me since I've started being more active in the MMO games page. These are: Counters of news, media and credits page to indicate to users that there are content on those pages; Disabling pages without any content set. The nav items are faded, so you know what content the games page has Recent news added to the sidebar to the TOP. Games pages are going to aimed at interactive features for games in development. Some stats on news/blog entries listing. Uhh I needa add these somewhere in the entries too.

Hi guys This is related to GDU MMO. RMMV web version runs from the html file. I want to run that file in a different location, and simply link to the resources from that different location. However this is causing issues coz the system itself makes tons of calls and always expects a relative path based on the location of the games. It's not a biggy, but preferable. Any ideas how I can achieve this?

Hi all Yesterday I discovered that none of our registration methods were functioning, including just normal email registration. Unfortunately all of these social platforms are constantly changing, whereas the forum software we have is slowly becoming more and more outdated. It will take a very long time for me to upgrade it, given that the GDU system is extremely intertwined into the forums system (obviously). Accordingly, Steam and Facebook are no longer supported due to their updated systems. The only logins we have are normal registration, and twitter login. Please let me know if you discover any issues.

My First PC Build: Tengu Wraith
Marked replied to rgangsta's topic in Computers, Internet and Tech Talk
Ya your CPU has quite a high clockspeed. Many people would look at it and say, i3, 2 cores u need 2 upgrade that bro, but in fact you just need to put it into practice and then decide whether or not it does what you need it to. In that respect, it's important to correctly ID the bottlenecks, i.e. is this slow because of the RAM or is it the CPU? (sorry if this is super obvious stuff) Anyway, look at this baby. Isn't she beautiful: We should totally make a thread to show off our rigs. -

Nice. I like the side being all glass - I'm thinking of upgrading my case to NZXT Source Elite myself. I already have the old version of the duel fan kraken for CPU cooling, but the new one looks wae cooler :( (the pun tho) For your purposes, it looks like your most important upgrades are SSD for boot (if you haven't got it already), RAM and then possibly CPU (depending on whether the software you use benefits from multiple cores... presumably it does). Especially the RAM though, at least for me my cmoputer is very RAM hungry and would stutter with only 8GB. Which it did so that time I took out a stick and gave it to my gf for her PC... damn I'm romantic. -
Updates might be a bit slower from me. I've taken on a pretty sizable freelancing project so time is gona be really tight for a while. My focus will be making sure things work before they look good.

I must say Pol, I am highly supportive of your idea. This is despite the fact that many birds are flightless and have usefless wings, i.e. the mighty kiwi.

But like, flippers are a type of a wing. O:
