  1. hehe, thanks. And, I have no problem accepting that nickname. I'd only have a problem if the nickname you gave me had to do with my old name :P Then, I'd ban you...jk...or am I? lol
  2. This is the place to discuss the new RMXP Unlimited Productions Project and "sign up" for your spot in the project. What I mean by that, is that this is the place to post your skills (yeah, I'm making you do it again) and from there we can set up an actual set up (I know we had one in the other topic, but I'd like to get a more exact listing if possible). Realize that, if you join up on this project you will be assigned a task to complete, and it will be your responsibility to get it to us in a timely manner. We will bug you, and if we have problems with people not handing over resources, we will begin to set deadlines. Poll #1 Personality Idea #1: Happy, cheerful, with a tortured past. This type of thief steals for survival. Youtube Video -> (Yes,the girl in this video did get gang-raped.) Pros: This personality is very lively,a lot of dialog. She'll appear happy, but have a deep inner emotional pain. Cons: Is prone to going psychotic when reminded of her past. (Yes,I know in Ragnarok Online, she's actually a merchant class.) ------------------------------------------------------- Personality Idea #2: Crafty,quick-witted,and cunning. The ideal thief. This type of thief steals for greed. When caught, she has the amazing ability to make her captor look like the bad guy. Screaming words like: "Help me!"and"Pervert!" draw a crowd very fast, enabling her to escape in the confusion. Pros: a good stable personality. Cons: this type of thief is used a lot, almost too much. ------------------------------------------------------- Personality Idea #3: The Robin Hood type. A noble thief that steals for a divine purpose. Stealing from the wealthy to feed the poor,or stealing what was already stolen to return it to its rightful owner. Cons: VERY commonly used... -------------------------------------------------------- Personality Idea #4: The silent hero.( A.K.A.: "Link") The hero doesn't really have a personality,it's most decided by the player's actions. Cons: no dialog from the player. All questions and responses are simply understood by the NPCs. --------------------------------------------------------- Personality Idea #5: The cautious hero. Though, she has never been caught, she is well aware of the consequences. This type of thief steals for survival. When caught, she will desperately try to reason with her captor, explaining her actions as her last resort and seeking pity from him to let her go.
  3. Well, it certainly sounds like everything is in order to work on an original idea, we just need to come up with one, which means EPIC TOPIC TIME!! (Yeah, I'm weird) I will, as of now, be closing all of the current RMXP Productions Project topics and opening a new topic specifically for this new project. So, everyone go there (it'll be the only open topic, obviously)
  4. lol, he's probably just letting me know he re-read them, since I sent him a warn saying he had to. So, anyone else want to say something on topic?
  5. Hmm...sounds like people want to go with an original idea now (which is what the third option was for, dorks :P Oh well.) In either case, an original idea sounds way better then a remake. The reason we went with the remake were 1. It was the second highest voted project in the last poll, and 2. This is the...4th project we've done? And this is the only non-original idea so far? If people want to go ahead and go with an original idea, I can run another poll topic. People can post up their original ideas (I have 2!) and we can put them into a single poll and people can vote from there. However...I want to make this point clear when I say it: If we try the vote topic again, then I request that you only vote and join into the project if you are actually WILLING to work, not because it sounds like the best idea
  6. Meh...sked didn't ruin it, really, the topic was basically over before he posted so... -shrugs- In either case, due to polraudio's post, I have gone ahead and sent sked a formal warning via the warn system. All members who are not admins, if he posts stuff like that again, report it, and a mod will deal with it -nods- It's obvious verbal warnings won't do, so let's try increasing his warn rating.
  7. hehe, I'm not so much a big fan of posting in spam forums ^^" But, we'll see, I might at some point.
  8. Yeah, I'm actually using an edit I made to Dube's Message system -forgot to say that bit- Thanks, Kiriashi. I already know what I want for the most part for the current project. I've beaten Quest 64 about 3 times over now, and I know the basic storyline of it and everything by heart. I don't remember the bosses too well, but I have a copy of the game and can easily play it over again to learn all of that stuff. To make the game anything like the old game, we'll need a new battle system. The original used a system where you had 4 stats - Health, Mana, Agility, and Defense. You used your mana to fight, cause you almost always used spells to attack (your staff starts weak and never gets stronger, thus becoming pointless to use). Your defense determined how well you defended in battle, and your agility determined how much you could move per turn. The battle system was a group of circles. The higher your agility, the larger the circles, eventually ending with your agility reaching 500, causing your normal movement circle to grow as large as the battlefield, allowing you to always be able to escape. Also, you never leveled up. Your four stats each gained exp and leveled independent of each other. The only true "leveling" other then that, was that if you gained enough exp, you got a new spirit to add to your elements. I don't know how to do that, though, on RPG Maker XP. Other then that, we need a menu system. The Quest64 menu had one screen for stats, one screen for element stats, a third screen for a map, and the final screen was options (it had music, sound, and that was about it lol). Lastly, you found elements all over the place, so there was a way to pick them up and put them into elements. Basically, you stepped up to one, hit a button, and it asked "Put it in fire, water, earth, or air?" and you pushed a button accordingly, though it had a cool picture, and had no words...and there was virtually no speaking in the game cause no one said anything important.
  9. hehe, thanks, I don't really think I'm that good of a member, really ^^" And remember, I only really did this cause you said to :P I wouldn't have even noticed if you had said anything. Is it possible to make 1,000 intelligent posts? Yes, I've shown it's possible. However, it would be much easier with an active community, so, with that said, LET'S GET PEOPLE JOINING AND GET MORE PEOPLE TO 1,000 INTELLIGENT POSTS! I know we can do it, so let's do it ^^
  10. Hmm...the program looks like a good idea. I see no problems with it. So, if you're asking me if it's a good idea, then sure, go ahead and install it. If you're asking me to install it...I really don't know what to do, where to put it, etc. So, yeah, I don't really know what to do to start it up lol I'm actually surprised how many people want to keep the project running. I might go ahead and agree to keep it running, then. However, I really only want to keep it running if people will actually work on it. If no one will, then I see no reason to keep it going. @Leon: As for scripts, at the moment, I don't even think I have any custom scripts in it. The only ones I have right now (that I can recall) are my credits script and a mod to change the text window to 500 pixels, instead of 480, thus being able to not worry about the stupid arrow...Otherwise, I don't think I have anything, and right now, the ones we need are a menu, a battle system, and a system for placing spirits into elements, each reaching a max of 50 and giving you skills every...4 or so? I think it's something like that. Other then that, we aren't in any need of scripts at the moment. However, without those, I can't program much at all.
  11. Okay, so, Kiriashi told me to do this with my 1,000th post XD He PMed me earlier and was all "Dude! You're at 999 posts! Make your 1,000 post special, and make it a topic about it." So I decided to. To be honest, I hadn't even noticed my post count XD So, anyway, per request by Kiriashi, I've posted this. So, now you all can know that I made it as the first member with 1,000 posts, and that it IS possible to make 1,000 posts that aren't spam =P So, yeah, grats to me I suppose? -shrugs- Meh...
  12. Wow, all of you sound pretty enthused about continuing the project. The main reason I posted this was because no one seemed to be doing anything, even after I double posted asking people how they were doing. If people are willing to help out, I'd love to keep the project going. As for you, Jesse, I can understand reluctance to join into this project due to what happened with yours. However, if you'll notice, the same thing that happened with yours is happening with our new one, no one is doing anything. This project is supposed to be for everyone to work on...if no one is willing to, then I see no reason to keep it going. -shrugs- That's about it really... It's not so much that it is taking a while for it to get complete...it's that no work at all is being done on it. No music has been handed over, no graphics (though someone said they had a Brian characterset which I have yet tor receive), no new scripts (seriously, we can't use the DBS, we need someone to make a new one, or pick a new one from existing scripts), or anything else (in case I forgot to list anything). So, yeah, games take time to make, but when nothing is being done, then that means unnecessary time is being used. If it takes us a year to make it, no problem, but if we don't work at all, what was a year could turn into 20, and then what? There was no point in any of it. Sorry to anyone who took any offense on this post...I feel like I was kinda yelling a bit...which I wasn't meaning to do. Sorry ^^"
  13. So, the question comes...it has been nearly 2 months now since the project got any work. I know this, because I have done nothing while waiting for the resources to work on it. In the meantime, I've gotten no graphics, scripts, music, etc. So, therefore, I can only assume no one has been working on the resources. So, now I have to ask, should we shut the project down or keep it going? I want to ask instead of shut it down for one reason: If we can't work together to make a game for our forum, how can we work together to aid others in making their games? Honestly, our forum is supposed to be around to help people make games, and that's nice and all, but if we can't make our own game, how can we hope to help 20 others with their games? Now, you say "we're all busy with our own games." That's my point! If we're all busy with our own individual projects and can't help with one big group project, how can we not be too busy to work on 20 other individual projects by others? So, I'll ask this now. Should we try to keep this project (Holy Magic Century remake) going? Should we try for ANOTHER project (for the 10th time)? Or should we just shut down the project making group once and for all? Please make a note that voting to keep the project going is also a vote for working on the project. I want no votes to keep it going if no one will work on it. If you won't work on it, vote to shut down. If you'll work on a different project, but not HMC, then vote to do another project. I repeat, do not vote to keep Holy Magic Century going if you will not work on it! Also, if you vote to do another project, you MUST post what the other project is you will work on! It can be original, a remake, etc. These will then go into a vote should option 3 get the most votes.

  16. hehe, this is also my first time drawing :P So I'm not working on shading or having patterns, just drawing
  17. hehe, well, Majora's Mask is on the other timeline, so it'll be a bit, but it will be all kinds of fun =D
  18. hehe, your welcome ^^ But don't take all of this as 100% truth. There are modified bits here and there (specifically chapter 1). Once I finish with this, I'll be rewriting all the novels I've done to fit this timeline. Also, chapter 3! Chapter 3 Chapter 3: The Legend of the Wind Waker It was the time after Link vanished, and Hyrule had returned to peace. With Ganondorf trapped within the Sacred Realm, it was thought that Hyrule would remain at peace forever. However, as fate would have it, a hundred years later, an evil wind seem to come from Death Mountain. It began to choke the citizens of Hyrule, and they fell to its evil. It seemed the seal of the seven sages wasn’t enough, for Ganondorf had found a way around it, and freed himself from his prison. He amassed an army and laid siege to Hyrule, and the Hylians began to pray for the return of the great hero. However, this time, none came. The people cried out “Save us, Goddesses!” as they were slaughtered in the streets, and in the final hours of Hyrule, the few survivors left their lives in the hands of fate. It was then that a great downpour struck the land, and the Hylians heard voices telling them to run for the peaks of the mountains. They did just as they were told, and the downpour became so fierce that it flooded all of Hyrule, sealing it in time. The land, now flooded, became known as the Great Sea, and the legend of Hyrule was passed on for generations. It was then, two hundred years later, before the Goddesses finally returned the Hero of Time. It had taken them so long due to having to find a way to separate Link’s soul into two so that one of the two could go to this time. However, there was no way to be sure that it had been completed to perfection, and so they laid a test, one that would test Link’s courage and wisdom to see if he truly was the new Hero of Time. It was then that Link was born upon the island of Outset, and there he lived until he reached the age of sixteen. Upon his sixteenth birthday, a great bird flew over Outset Island, and a group of pirates attacked it, knocking it out for several moments. However, the attack caused the bird to drop a girl into the forest upon the top of the island, and so Link set out to rescue her. The girl turned out to be the Pirate Queen, Tetra, and, after a short battle with a few Bokugoblins, he rescued the girl. Tetra, however, was none to happy about this. It was then that one of the pirates appeared and took Tetra back to her ship, but along the way, the bird tried to strike once more. However, this time the bird did not capture Tetra. The bird, instead, went for a girl who looked similar to Tetra, but was actually Link’s sister, Aryll. Link tried to save her, but it was to no avail, the bird was too fast, and the cliff he was on was too small. The bird escaped with his sister, and Link immediately ordered the pirates to take him to his sister so that he may rescue her. At first, the pirates were fierce and refused to let him on board, but after Link argued enough, and a postman named Quill aided in the argument, the pirates let him on their ship, and so their adventure began. Link and Tetra sailed to the Forsaken Fortress, where Aryll had been taken after her kidnapping. They then snuck in via cannon, and Link made his way through the Fortress, carefully avoiding the guards. At the end, he found his sister, but the operation was a failure as the bird returned and grabbed Link, then flung him away to the farther reaches of the sea. When Link awoke, he found himself inside of a boat, and as he sat up, the boat began to speak. It explained it was called the King of Red Lions, and that Ganondorf was the one behind the kidnapping. The King of Red Lions explained that Link would need to find the Master Sword if he planned to kill Ganondorf and free his sister, and so Link’s adventure began. Link journeyed to Dragon Roost Island, where he met and aided a girl named Medli. They climbed to the top of the island to meet with Valoo, the Dragon God, and it was there that they discovered an evil monster had laid siege to Valoo’s tail, causing him pain and to lash out at all around him. Link quickly dispatched the monster, and as thanks he was given Din’s Pearl, one of three items he would need to open the door to the Master Sword. At one time, the three pearls of the goddesses had been the Spiritual Stones, but they had been destroyed and their magic forged into three pearls by the Goddesses as part of the test for the Hero of Time. The other test required the Hero of Time to wield an ancient object known as the Wind Waker, which was a conductor’s baton that could be used to compose the wind, and make it do whatever you wished. Link was now given the Wind Waker and taught how to use it. Using its power, he then left Dragon Roost Island and sailed to the Forest Haven, a group of islands that seemed to be made of two great trees. It was there, within the Forest Haven, that Link found a new Great Deku Tree. It was the sprout of the dead Great Deku Tree from three hundred years before, and it had grown into a fine tree. It was here that Link asked for Farore’s Pearl, but the Great Deku Tree would not give it away at first. It was needed for a great festival, and it was on this day that the festival was to occur. The Great Deku promised Link the pearl at the end of the festival, but as they prepared to begin, terrible news struck Forest Haven. Makar, the one who was to start the festival, had gone missing, having fallen deep into the Forbidden Forest. The Great Deku Tree granted Link the ability to fly using a magical leaf in exchange for rescuing Makar, and Link journeyed off to do so. He made his way through the Forbidden Forest, and at the end he found Makar under siege by a large parasite of a plant. Link, however, did not falter in his courage, and with some new skills in hand, he destroyed the beast. Link then returned Makar to the Great Deku Tree, and, once the festival was complete, the Great Deku Tree gave Farore’s Pearl to him. He then headed back to the King of Red Lions, who told him they would need to find Jabun. The two then headed off to Greatfish Isle, where Jabun was supposed to be, but found it shattered, the ground having been broken apart and scattered throughout the sea. Luckily, however, Jabun had escaped, and made his way to Outset Island. There at Outset, he had constructed a barrier which would require the aid of a cannon or a very powerful magic to destroy. He was able to get a cannon from Windfall’s bomb shop, after having to steal the bombs he needed from Tetra and her pirates. He then journeyed off to Outset once more, and once there, he used the cannon to destroy the barrier, then enter in and find Jabun. The King of Red Lions and Jabun then spoke with one another, and Jabun gave up Nayru’s Pearl without hesitation. Link and the King of Red Lions then journeyed off to the three triangles islands, where they placed the three pearls within three statues. Upon completion, the statues revealed their true selves, being the Goddess Statues which opened the door to the Tower of the Gods. Inside, Link would find his final trial, and once defeated, Link would be able to open the doorway to the Master Sword. Now, with the doorway open, the King of Red Lions descended to the depths of the Great Sea, and Link discovered that the doorway led into the ancient Kingdom of Hyrule, which was now trapped under a large bubble of water. They landed in the Castle of Hyrule, and once there, Link found and took the Master Sword from its resting place. However, such a feat disturbed the time of Hyrule, and soon time began to move once more for all those in Hyrule. The King of Red Lions and Link then journeyed back to the Forsaken Fortress, and Link fought his way through the fortress until he reached the end. This time, he was ready for the bird, and in an epic battle he destroyed the bird once and for all. Tetra then appeared and took away all the girls who had been captured by Ganondorf, and Link was left to finish the job he had come to do. He now headed up the tower, where he would meet and battle against Ganondorf himself. However, it was at this time that Link discovered that the Master Sword had no power. It could not harm Ganondorf, because the sages who kept the sword alive had been killed. Ganondorf then beat Link down, but at the last moment, Tetra jumped in and began to fight as well. As she fought, though, a small necklace fell from her shirt, showing a piece of a small, golden triangle. At once, Ganondorf realized that he had found the one he was searching for, but as he went to snatch up the necklace, Tetra swiped it back, then grabbed Link and jumped upon Valoo’s back, who immediately torched the Forsaken Fortress, killing anyone inside. However, Ganondorf managed to escape to his own realm, and there he waited. The King of Red Lions then took Link and Zelda throughout the many islands, explaining about that the necklace Zelda wore was the Triforce of Wisdom, and that Link would need to find the Triforce of Courage. On top of that, he would need to awaken the new sages, and so they went off to Headstone Island, where the Earth Temple existed. It was there that Link was taught a song that, when composed upon a harp, would awaken the Earth Sage’s memories. He then traveled to Dragon Roost Island, and there he met Medli once more and as he composed, Medli played it upon her harp, and as she did, memories flooded into her mind, and at once she knew her purpose. They then returned to the Earth Temple and Link, Medli, and Tetra all fought against the evil ghost Jalhalla and destroyed it. Medli then stayed behind as Link and Tetra sailed to Gale Island; she prayed to the Goddesses, and as she did, the Master Sword began to awaken. At Gale Island, Link was taught a song that, when played upon a cello, would awaken the Wind Sage, and he returned to the Forest Haven and composed the song for Makar, who then awoke as the Wind Sage. They then returned to Gale Island, and within the Wind Temple they fought the evil beast Molgera. Once Molgera was defeated, Makar began to pray to the Goddesses, and the Master Sword awoke fully. They then left, searching for the Triforce of Courage which lied deep at the bottom of the Great Sea in eight small pieces. They fought to find the pieces, and once put together, they returned to the Tower of the Gods. It was then that the King of Red Lions revealed his true self. He was King Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule, the last King of Hyrule. He then took a small triangle out and set it within the triangle Tetra had, and at once they formed the Triforce of Wisdom. With this, Tetra was then revealed to be the re-incarnation of the Princess Zelda. However, as it was revealed to them, Ganondorf snatched Zelda away and Link followed after him. Link made his way to Ganon’s Tower, where he fought hard and completed four trials which required him to fight the four monsters he had fought within the four temples. Once each was destroyed, he met with Ganondorf himself. However, it was only a puppet, and the puppet transformed into a monster of a beast that Link had to fight against. After a long battle, Link destroyed the puppet, and Ganondorf once again stole Zelda from him, traveling to the top of the tower. Link followed, and there, atop the tower, Link and Ganondorf did battle, but Link lost. Ganondorf then fused the three Triforce pieces together, but as he reached forward to touch the sacred triangles and make his wish, King Daphnes touched the Triforce, wishing for Hyrule to have hope and peace. The Triforce accepted King Daphnes wish, and the bubble around Hyrule began to break apart, and soon the land began to flood. Ganondorf, now irate at being denied his Triforce once again, attacked Link, who quickly fought back. It was then that Tetra awoke, and with their powers combined, Link and Zelda slew the King of Evil, placing him within stone. King Daphnes then sent Link and Zelda to the surface of the sea and returned Tetra back to her pirate form. They were then picked up by the pirates, who they then told their story to. It was then agreed that they would search for a new home, one that was a single land that they could build a new kingdom upon. And so the pirates journeyed off with Link at their side, and they began their search for a new land.

  20. Chapter 2 Chapter 2: The Legend of the Ocarina of Time The seven sages, fearing that another war may begin again, took a special metal that was the rarest of them all. They took every bit and piece of it, and they forged it into a single blade. Only three other swords had been forged of this material. One was the Picori Blade, or Four Sword as it was now called, but the other two remaining blades were forged by the Gerudo tribe, who lived in the western deserts of Hyrule. The sages, taking the remaining pieces of the metal, forged them into a single blade, which was then blessed by Farore herself. Time would record that the blade was forged by Farore, when in truth, it was only given its sacred powers by her. The blade became known as the Master Sword, which also goes by many other names, such as the Evil-Slaying Sword, Evil-Repelling Sword, and Evil’s Bane. The sages then placed the sword at the crossroads between the Sacred Realm and Hyrule, sealing the gateway. It could only be re-opened by taking the Master Sword, which could only be taken by one of great courage. The Master Sword was then sealed away, and three stones were forged, the Sacred Stones of Forest, Fire, and Water, which also became known as the Kokiri Emerald, Goron Ruby, and Zora Sapphire, as they were then given to each race. A fourth piece was then forged, created using magics unknown to us now. These magics allowed them to forge a small ocarina, which the Hylian Family kept protected at all times. This ocarina was the key to the Master Sword, for the only way to open the Door of Time, which was a massive wall that locked away the Master Sword, was to collect the three Spiritual Stones and place them upon a pedestal in front of the Door of Time. From there, the ocarina had to be played, and a special song created just for this purpose had to be played. Thus, the song and the ocarina got their names, the Song of Time and the Ocarina of Time. The doorway remained sealed for a hundred years, and the legend of the Ocarina of Time was kept well hidden, but not well enough. Over the course of the next one hundred years, the Kingdom of Hyrule obtained a pact with the other races. They would have peace; so long as Hyrule came to their side should it be needed. However, the Gerudo knew of this pact, for they too had accepted it, and it was then that they began their move. The King of the Gerudo was a man by the name of Ganondorf Dragmire. He had been born to one of the Gerudo, who were actually a race consisting of nothing but women. For only one boy was born every one hundred years to the Gerudo, and that boy was immediately made King of all the Gerudo. However, the mother died in child birth, and the child was given to two twin witches who had brought the Gerudo up and taught them the ways of magic. They were Kotake and Koume, who also went under the names Twinrova and the Twin Witches of Spirit. Twinrova raised Ganondorf up, teaching him the legends of the Triforce and the Ocarina of Time. They made him lust for power, and some believe they even infused the spirit of their master, Mandrag Ganon, into his body, for Mandrag Ganon had been the last King of the Gerudos, and it would have been no surprise if they had been trying to resurrect him somehow. Finally, as the one hundred years came to an end, a new Link was born to a very noble family of knights. However, four months after his birth, Ganondorf made his move. He convinced the Goron and Zora tribes that each of them was entitled to the entirety of Death Mountain. The Zora lived at the bottom, where there were connections to the seas and oceans of Hyrule, and even a connection to Lake Hylia itself, the place people call “The Source of Life”. For it was there, at Lake Hylia, where the races first awoke when Farore created them, and they then branched off from there. The Gorons, however, lived in the higher points of the mountain, where the rocks were fresher, and the heat was higher. You see, the Goron were a race of rock eaters, and their very skin was made of rock, thus, they felt the need to live in warm places, and they had found a home in Death Mountain. It was then, once both races were convinced of their course of action, that a great war erupted between the races, and they both called to Hyrule for aid. At first, the King refused, but slowly the citizens grew more and more worried that the war would erupt onto their side. So, they pledged the King to make a move, and the Kingdom of Hyrule was soon divided into three sects. There were those who wished to aid the Goron, those who wished to aid the Zora, and those who still wished to stay neutral. Finally, the King was forced to make a decision, and the result caused an outrage throughout the kingdom that caused the citizens to begin killing one another. In this uproar, Link’s father fought hard to protect his family, but he fell fighting. Link’s mother, a beautiful woman by the name of Shihara, quickly took her child to the south forest, where the Kokiri Forest existed. However, she was followed by Gerudo warriors who learned of who the baby was and planned to kill it to prevent their master’s plan from failing. Shihara was then chased to the forest, where she managed to kill her pursuers, but at a heavy cost. She stumbled into the forest, bleeding and dying, and she gave her child up to the Kokiri who lived there, which were a small race of Hylian-like people who did not age, and were forever trapped in the form of a child no older then ten. It was here, within the Kokiri Forest, that Link grew and aged until he reached the age of eleven. At this point, the war had ended, and peace had existed in the Kingdom for many years. With Ganondorf’s plan foiled, he began to search the land for the three Spiritual Stones, all the while he pledged allegiance to the King of Hyrule, and swore he would protect the land. Ganondorf then met with the three holders of the Spiritual Stones, and when they would not give them up, he cursed them all. It was because of this that Link was called forward to do the task he was born to do. He was called by the Great Deku Tree, Father of the Kokiri, and Guardian of the Kokiri Emerald, and Link fought against the evil monster Gohma, freeing the Deku Tree from the curse. However, it was too late, and the Deku Tree passed on, but not before entrusting the Kokiri Emerald to Link, as well as a small fairy named Navi. The two were then told to head to Hyrule and meet with the Princess of Destiny, who was the new Princess Zelda. Once in Hyrule, Link did just that, and Zelda persuaded Link to go after the other two Spiritual Stones in a hope that they could get the Triforce before Ganondorf could. Neither had memories of their previous life, and thus neither knew of the curse placed upon them for doing a similar act a hundred years before. Link then headed off to Death Mountain, where he met with the Goron tribe. There he discovered that Ganondorf had cursed a place known as Dodongo’s Cavern so that a massive dragon would strike any who entered, and without the cavern open, the Goron could not survive, for it was there, inside the cave, that the best tasting rocks existed, and nothing else could compare to them. Link spoke with the leader, Darunia, and at first he had no desire to take Link’s aid, but when he found his spirits lifted by a song Link played from the Kokiri Forest, Darunia agreed to let Link go and try his best to aid them. Link then entered the cavern and fought against the evil dragon inside. He quickly destroyed it by throwing a Bomb Flower into the creature’s mouth, causing it to explode. The Goron thanked him, then handed him the Spiritual Stone of Fire as thanks. They then sent him on his way, and he journeyed to the bottom of the mountain, where the Zora existed. There, within Zora’s Domain, he met with King Zora, but he would not agree to give the Spiritual Stone of Water away. Link then found that the Princess of the Zora, Ruto, had been eaten by the Zora’s Guardian, Jabu Jabu. Upon discovery, King Zora allowed Link entry into Jabu Jabu’s domain, and once there, Link found a way inside Jabu Jabu’s belly. Once inside, Link discovered a curse upon Jabu Jabu that caused the great whale to fall sick. The curse was a large parasite of a creature called Barinade, and Link quickly dispatched the monster. Once destroyed, Princess Ruto willingly gave Link the Spiritual Stone of Water. With all three, he then journeyed back to Hyrule, only to find it under siege by Ganondorf himself. Link rushed in and rushed to Zelda’s aid. Quickly, as she made her escape, Zelda gave Link the Ocarina of Time, then taught him the Song of Time. Link then swore to save Zelda, and he rushed forward into the Temple of Time and opened the Door of Time. There, upon the Pedestal of Time, he found the Master Sword, and Link drew it from the pedestal, but the Master Sword itself had other plans, and it locked his soul away for seven long years. As Link awoke, he found himself in a strange place. The sky was darkened, and the ground beneath him was dead. He was now in a place known as the Dark World, and it had been seven long years. He then heard a voice telling him to find the Sage of Light, and after making his way through monsters, he found the Sage of Light within an old temple. It was there that Link first learned of what had happened. Ganondorf had used the passage the Link opened and taken the Triforce, but only a piece of it had gone to him. The other two pieces separated and went to others. One piece was his, but since Link had been sealed away, the Triforce had not gone to him. The Sage of Light, however, had held the Triforce to keep it safe, and now gave Link his piece, the Triforce of Courage. He then gave Link a small medallion, and the power of the Master Sword began to awake when the medallion touched it. Link was then sent into Hyrule and was told to search for the other five sages. Link did just as he was told, and in his search he found Saria was the Sage of Forest, Darunia was the Sage of Fire, Ruto was the Sage of Water, Zelda’s nurse – Impa – was the Sage of Shadow, and Ganondorf’s second-in-command – Nabooru – was the Sage of Spirit. The six sages, their powers now combined, created a bridge into Ganondorf’s Tower, and, after watching Princess Zelda get stolen away from him, Link quickly crossed the bridge, entering the tower. He then fought through six trials, opening the way deeper into Ganondorf’s Tower. He then made his way up, stopping as he entered a large room where Ganondorf and Zelda awaited him. It was here that Ganondorf and Link had their final, great battle, and Link defeated the evil wizard. However, with his last breath he caused the tower to crumble down, and Link and Zelda were forced to escape quickly, barely escaping the tower with their lives. However, Ganondorf was not yet defeated. Crazed with vengeance, and a burning desire to destroy Link and Zelda, Ganondorf allowed the spirit of Mandrag Ganon to overcome him, and, using the Triforce of Power that was his, Ganondorf transformed into a pig-like demon creature. Link and Zelda prepared themselves for this final battle, and as Link fought the creature, Zelda used the Triforce of Wisdom that was hers and cast a mighty spell. She summoned the power of the six sages, and together, as the Seven Sages of Hyrule, they pulled Ganondorf into the Dark World, sealing him away. With Ganondorf gone, peace returned to Hyrule. However, Princess Zelda had no desire to leave Link the way he was. She took the Master Sword and the Ocarina of Time from him, then, using her powers as the seventh sage, she returned Link back to his own time so he may live out the seven years he had lost. Now, back in his own time, and knowing the future, Link met with the King of Hyrule and warned him of Ganondorf’s deceit. At once, the King of Hyrule had Ganondorf sent off to be executed, and he called upon the six sages to perform the ritual. The six sages did as commanded, and using a special blade of their own, they stabbed Ganondorf within the heart, but, as if by some divine prank, Ganondorf had already obtained the Triforce of Power, and its power prevented his death. At once, the six sages opened the Twilight Mirror, and at the loss of one of their own, they sealed Ganondorf away within the Twilight Realm. From there, peace returned to Hyrule, but now a disturbance had been caused. Hyrule now existed within two realms, within two separate times, and down each line, the Legend of Zelda would continue with vastly great tales upon either side.
  21. Welcome to The Great Legend of Zelda. This is a novel that tells the story of my current idea of the Legend of Zelda timeline. I will be completing this before I begin the rewrites to any of my Zelda stories, so if you want a story from me, come here until it's done :P Chapter 1 Chapter 1: How It All Began Come, my children, and you will hear a tale of Hyrule, and how it all began. It is an ancient legend, one that we call the Legend of Zelda. It was the time before time, and all of Hyrule had yet to be formed. The land was nothing but a void of darkness and chaos, but it was in this time that the three great Goddesses descended from another land, coming to ours. The three Goddesses, Din, Nayru, and Farore, descended upon our world, and the land began to call to them. It called out, seeking guidance. It screamed, “Who am I? What is my purpose?” And the Goddesses spoke nothing and just smiled. After a time, immeasurable in our time, the Goddesses finally spoke. “You are Hyrule,” was what they spoke, and their work began. Din, the Goddess of Power, descended upon the land first. Using her flaming arms, she cultivated the land and formed the earth from the chaos. Nayru, Goddess of Wisdom and Time, descended upon the land second. She poured out her spirit and gave the world the spirit of law. This law gave the land its purpose, and gave the land time. It was then that the cycle was born – birth, life, death. Farore, the Goddess of Courage, was the last to descend upon the land. Using her powers, she brought forth life. Her powers created the grass and the trees. She formed the animals of the air, the animals of the water, and the animals of the land. Lastly, she formed the races that would dominate the world, and to all the animals, races, plants, creatures, and everything else with life, she gave the command to uphold the law of the world. From their, the Great Goddesses returned to the heavens, and where they left, three golden triangles were left behind. These triangles became known as the Triforce, an object with the ability to grant the wish of the one who touches it. The land that it lied in became known as the Sacred Realm, and it was there that the Triforce remained for years to come. There were then seven who rose to power, each of a different race. They became known as the Sages of Hyrule. They each were given the power to hear the Goddesses who would allow them to foresee the future. What they saw, they wrote down, writing many prophecies of the future, as well as researching the past. One woman then compiled these writings together; her name was Mudora. And so, the book compiled by Mudora came to be known as the Book of Mudora, and from there, the book was passed down from generation to generation, always passed down to the head sage of the time. However, one day, the sages vanished, and with them, so did the Book of Mudora. With the Book of Mudora lost, the races grew, forgetting the ancient prophecies the sages had spoken, and soon the races began a great war that threatened to destroy the land. One race in particular, their real name lost to the sands of time, managed to reach the Sacred Realm and tried to control the power of the Triforce. The Goddesses, knowing the evils that would come from this, quickly dispatched four beings known as the Light Spirits to the world. They created an ancient mirror, and thrust the race within it. The realm within the mirror became known as the Twilight Realm, for there it was always twilight. It is said, that once a day, during the Hour of Twilight, their world and hours intersect. After the race had been sealed away, and their magic powers scattered through Hyrule, the war between the races continued once more. However, a small race of creatures known as the Minish grew tired of the battling. Using the power of the elements, they fused a mighty blade that would give the wielder power beyond imagining. They then took it and gave it to a man garbed in green. This man, who was named Gustaf, then ended the war and sealed the darkness of the world within a pedestal, using the Picori Blade, as it came to be known, to seal the creatures within. He then became the first King of Hyrule. From there, Gustaf ruled the land, baring a son some many years later. This son, the Prince of Hyrule, was named Daltus, and when Gustaf’s reign ended, he became King. He then bore only a single daughter, naming her Zelda, which meant “Cherished One” for Zelda was his most cherished child, as her mother died at birth. Zelda then grew and aged, and along the way she found a boy named Link, who became her best friend, though he was nothing more then a simple peasant, working with his grandfather named Smith. Once a year, the land of Hyrule held a festival to celebrate the Picori, as the Minish had come to be known. This year marked one hundred years since the Picori had given the sword to Gustaf, and this year the festival was even grander. At every festival they held a tournament, but this year, a man garbed in nothing but purple robes appeared. He claimed his name to be Vaati, and he won the tournament in an almost magical way. From this victory, he was granted the privilege to touch the Picori Blade. However, he had other plans. Once the pedestal had been brought forth, Vaati reached forward, as if to touch the blade, then laughed and mocked the Kingdom of Hyrule. With a spell, he blasted away the guards, and with another spell, he shattered the Picori Blade, unleashing the evil that had been locked away inside the pedestal for so long. He then went forth, as if to claim something, but Princess Zelda and Link stood in his way. With a curse, Vaati turned Zelda to stone and knocked Link out, then went forth to the pedestal, but he found it void of any prize. He then turned and vanished, stating that he would find his prize, which he called the Light Force, and that all of Hyrule would be his as soon as it was found. Link awoke much later, and upon discovering Zelda in stone, King Daltus sent him off on a quest to reforge the Picori Blade, which could only be done by the Picori themselves. He traveled to the far woods known as the Minish Woods, where the Picori were rumored to live, and there, within, he met a hat of a creature known as Ezlo. With Ezlo at his side, Link found the ability to shrink down to the size of the Picori, as it turned out they were actually a tiny race, no bigger then bugs. He could also return to his normal size as well, and using this ability, he met with the Picori Elder, who told him that he would need the Four Elements, which were crystallized forms of fire, earth, water, and air. Their power, combined with the strength of the greatest of the Picori blacksmiths, Melari, could reforge the sacred Picori Blade. With Ezlo at his side, Link then traveled to the four corners of Hyrule, slaying great beasts while collecting the Four Elements. With all four in hand, he met with Melari, who reforged the blade. However, Melari did not have the power to fuse the Elements with the blade, only the Elemental Sanctuary had that power. So, Link journeyed back to Hyrule Castle in search of the Elemental Sanctuary that was rumored to lie there. In the midst of Link’s quest, Vaati had returned, brainwashing the King of Hyrule to do his bidding. He then met with Link where he revealed the truth about himself and Ezlo. He had been the apprentice of Ezlo, and both of them had been Minish at one time. He then revealed that Ezlo had forged a cap known as the Minish Cap, which had the power to grant wishes to anyone who wore it. Vaati had wished for power, and when he got it, he became thirsty for more, and thus began his search for the Light Force, which was said to hold infinite power. Afterwards, Vaati seemed to disappear, and Link was left to return to his quest. Once all four elements were his, and he had met Melari, he journeyed to Hyrule Castle, where he found the entrance to the Elemental Sanctuary. Inside, he placed the Four Elements in a circle around the new sacred blade, which Melari called the White Sword. The Sanctuary then fused the powers of the Elements into the blade, and Ezlo named the completed sword the Four Sword. However, within the Elemental Sanctuary was also a tablet that told what had happened to the Light Force. The truth was that the Picori had given Gustaf not only the Picori Blade, but also the Light Force, and it was then passed down through the lines of the Royal Family. This was what Vaati had been looking for, and unknown to Link and Ezlo, he had found it because of them. Vaati then captured Princess Zelda, and Link was forced to travel through a twisted form of Hyrule Castle, one in which Vaati had created for his ritual. The bell of Hyrule Town then began to ring, and as each ring passed, Zelda’s power grew weaker. Link, however, did not surrender, and before the ritual was completed, Link was able to jump in and stop Vaati. However, Vaati had already consumed much of the Light Force, and using its power, he became an abomination. He called himself a god, and Link now used the full power of the Four Sword to fight him. It is said he was able to split himself into four, and with their powers combined, they were able to defeat the dark wizard. However, as Link went to deliver the final blow, the Goddesses gifted him with a vision of the future. Upon seeing it, he spared Vaati’s life, but knowing the vile beast would just return if given the chance, he sealed Vaati away within the sword, then returned the sword to the Elemental Sanctuary. With Vaati defeated, all of his curses were broken, and the land returned to what it once was before Vaati attacked. Ezlo now returned to his normal self and took the Picori Blade and sealed it away within the Elemental Sanctuary. There, within, the sword could never be touched, and so it would remain there for as long as it was required. Ezlo and Link then parted ways, and as a final gift, Ezlo gave unto Link a small hat. It was nothing truly special, just a green hat to fit his green uniform. And so, with that, they parted ways, and the two never saw each other again. Link grew up into a fine man, and he and Zelda were married. However, not all remained peaceful, for it was only a few years later when a great uprising occurred. An evil man, who called himself Mandrag Ganon, attempted to take the land of Hyrule by force. It was then revealed that Ganon had been behind the first war, and had been sealed away within the pedestal as well. However, now free, he rampaged the world, and without the Picori Blade to stop him, Ganon quickly swept the country, destroying most of Hyrule. Those who survived fled into other lands, and Ganon and his forces began to seek them out. Link and Zelda then turned to their only hope for salvation, the Triforce. They entered the Sacred Realm, and there within, they took the Triforce for themselves and used its power to destroy Ganon’s body and seal his spirit away. However, such a thing did not come without a price, and the Goddesses themselves cursed both Link and Zelda for their actions. Thus began what has been called the Cycle of Eternity. It is a cycle in Hyrule that every one hundred years a hero and a princess would be born and arise to fight a great evil. However, their lives were cut, allowing them only sixty years of life. On top of that, they would have no memory of their pasts, unless they came in contact with the spirit of their former lives that were also cursed to walk the world until they found the new hero and new princess. With this, the skills of the princess and the hero could be passed on, and their spirits re-incarnated time and time again, until they had paid for the crimes they had committed. Also, please feel free to comment at any time. I'd love to hear what you think about it!
  22. Does this work? It should work. I haven't had a glitch reported yet, and I didn't encounter any glitches when looking through it myself either.
  23. Hehe, thanks. Just remember to give credit, and I hope your game works out ^^
  24. -stares at first post date, then stares at today's date- OH SNAP! Happy belated birthday, Ark! I don't know how I missed this topic in all my browsing >< In any case, welcome to the world of adulthood. Everything changes once you turn 18...it just doesn't feel like it (at least, it didn't to me).
