For this we would need some scripters and music writers. The battle system would either need to be an ABS or a Tactical Battle System (TBS). The menu system would require a rework, due to the fact that it is a one person game, as well as being that the original menu was 4 screens: Elementals, Map, Stats, Items There would need to be a system for the elementals. You gain them as you travel the game, and each elemental increases your power in one spell lore (Fire, Water, Earth, Air), with the player able to choose which the elemental will go in. It reaches a max of 50. As well, each level you earn an elemental, as well as some stat bonuses. The elementals (without leveling up) reach 50 in 2 skills, with the leveling up able to max out all elementals (though that would take FOREVER to obtain the other 98 via leveling). The player starts with a skill of 1 in each elemental as well (for those wondering the 98 thing). The tricky part is allowing the player to pick and choose which spells to use. In the original game, you could hit a c button to open one of four lists (Fire, water, earth, and air). From there, you could hit another c button to open the list further and access new spells. I think this would be an awesome remake, but it would be up to all of you. It would take a lot of work, but I think if we worked hard, we could make a really good remake out of this.

  4. Pokemon Game With Currently Unknown Title (Pokemon Legends?) Well...for this one...I don't really have much...it's my current project, though, and I'm not really planning to stop working on it unless I can find something better, something I can actually do. My current list of ideas for this one is: The typical "collect eight badges, beat elite four, become champion" storyline, though spiced up a bit. I plan to use the Kanto region, and I plan for the main character to start the game by being "called" to a certain place. This will lead him to get his first badge, in which the character is then called to another place. He is lead by a strange being, one he cannot see, but can only hear. It speaks of his destiny. In the grand scheme of things, he meets with a terrible group, bent on taking control of all Kanto. He aids Bill in fixing his computer, by jumping inside of it and finding the virus within that is trying to destroy it. When he gets all his badges, he will battle in a four battle tournament run, where there is a chance of him fighting 4 of 16 different people. In the end, he is invited to an island where he meets with the elite four and does battle. Beating them grants him the ability to meet with the Champion, where, should the player win there, he becomes the Champion.
  5. Keys to Destruction Another story in the Journey of Heroes saga, occurring at least 100 years before CoC. Jessica and Jarod of the Floating City of Shandria are sent out on a quest to obtain the Dark Eye Seeing Stone. When they reach Karagum, they discover the Dark Hand, a group bent on collecting the seven Keys to Destruction and freeing their master, is en route to attack. They get thrust into the middle of a battle, and must fight to free Karagum from the hands of the Dark Hand. Once the Dark Eye Seeing Stone is safe in Shandria, the King sends them out once more to collect the other keys as well. They journey out to collect the Dragon's Eye Topaz, the Sacred Orb of Jugon, the Bracers of Darkness, the Ring of Destruction, the Sword of the Underworld, and the Crown of Judgement. They must travel all over the world, and by the time they collect them, disaster strikes Shandria, they are met with betrayal, and many other difficulties reveal themselves. In the end, they must free the God of Destruction, then reseal him within the Elemental Cage, thus creating the Crystals of Chaos, and destroying the Dark Hand, lead by the God of Destruction's second-in-command, the General of Destruction.
  6. Journey of Heroes: Crystals of Chaos The first in the Journey of Heroes series ( Hey! If we went with this, we could make them all in a row >>;; ). The story begins as Zachary Ballmonte, Jessica Durand, Michael Jansson, and Valerie Seaborn all end up journeying to get the Fruit of Ganji, a supposed cure-all that is known of only in legend. Along the way, they learn of a Prophecy known as the Prophecy of the End Times. Upon retrieving the Fruit of Ganji, and using it to cure those who were sick (Valerie's father and Jessica), they leave for the Island of Daltros, where Adonis, the Seer of Ages, is said to currently be visiting. A dark shadow then passes over the grand city of Daimondo, and evil springs forth, consuming the city in a cloud of swirling magic. From there, the Nine Lords of Magic begin to feud amongst one another, releasing monsters upon the world and causing a great war. The group returns to try and quell the fighting, and are forced to fight and kill the Nine Lords of Magic, obtaining the Crystals of Chaos as they do. However, as their journey goes on, evil spreads, dark truths are revealed about each character, and they find they are all a part of the Prophecy of the End Times. In the end, they must use the Crystals of Chaos to open a portal to Limbo, the Realm Between Dimensions, and find their way to the Elemental Cage, where the God of Destruction lies in wait. They are forced to free him, and then must destroy him, which doing so brings about the End Times.
  7. Ok, so, I ended up having to work, so I couldn't get to this topic before now. I will be posting (in a different post for each) the current ideas for the RMXP Unlimited Productions Project. From there, you are all free to read through them and vote (yes, this means even the people not involved in the project at this time). We want to know what you think is the best idea for us to do. So, here you go. EDIT: As another note, should this end up in a tie, I shall use my vote to determine which of the projects involved in the tie will be chosen. Until then, I won't be voting.
  8. Just as a reminder, tomorrow the votes begin, so if you have any last ideas you want to add, now's the time to let us know. I hope all goes well in the voting, and that we get a project selected, and the people we need to work on it will join. 9. Figured I would comment on this, since I completely missed seeing it last time I posted. I would agree that we should change the battle system, except for one problem: All of the stuff is actually coded together in the game. You don't use the player or enemy tabs for monsters, you use a special system that actually uses little text files in a PBS folder in the project in order to run everything. To change the battle system, even for trainers/gyms/etc, you would literally have to recode the entire system, which I don't really see a point to when we've already got a working battle system that is coded in with all the other stuff. So, needless to say, sadly, the idea wouldn't work, unless we wanted to literally rewrite 100% of the scripts ourselves. On this note: Yes, I have a lot of Kanto done, but I'd kind of like to expand it if we can get the people involved. Honestly, I like the idea presented earlier about making the rival appear more in the game. To do that, though, we'd need to expand, and possibly even remake all of the routes ourselves. This would allow for mini missions between cities, and would allow the rival to appear multiple times more then what he is in now. However, it depends on the mappers how willing people are to put a lot of work into this game. Surely, I will be putting as much free time I can into it, but if I'm the only one working on it, I won't be able to really do much. On a final note: Please remember that nothing is final yet. Once we decide what project we are doing, THEN we can discuss what more to do. Right now, we're just searching for ideas of a project. Once we have the project, we'll worry about the systems we use and so forth.
  10. Well, Jesse, the one thing is, we have a starter kit with all that programmed into it (as far as I know anyway). So, while you are right, there is a lot of heavy scripting we need to make the game, most of it is already done. It's one reason I recommend a custom idea over pokemon, so we can get more people involved, including scripters. I would like to see a custom idea made instead of us attempting a remake, because I honestly think we can do it if we tried. Either way, it's up to the votes when it all occurs.
  11. Well, both sound like interesting ideas. To do the Sailor Moon one we would have to have a couple of scripters on the team, but as this IS after all, a project for all of us, it seems like we would get at least one scripter to sign on soon. I will post both ideas when the poll is started, and we will see how it goes from there.
  12. well, that's why I listed CoC and KtD first. They are original ideas. Pokemon and Sailor Moon on the other hand are not. In either case, we're not voting yet, just looking for ideas. I'm setting a deadline as of now, though. Any and all ideas need to be in by Sunday, September 14, at 12AM EST. After that, I will make a new topic with all of the ideas that have been posted. The poll will go for a week, and then we will work on whichever gets the most votes. Anyone have problems with that?
  13. As a note, I have realized that I uploaded the wrong file. I have re-uploaded the Pokemon game, and it has the entire region of Kanto, save for some of the caves and such (although, the maps that are there are not 100% complete, so they may have glitches...the most common being incorrect map connections, or black borders around maps, all of which will be fixed at some point).
  14. Hey, welcome to RMXP Unlimited. We definitely hope you stay, especially if you have some skills to offer for our forum project (check here for info). We're all nice, and we all work together to get a long and help one another. I couldn't think of a better forum to help me out with my RMXP needs then this one.
  15. Well, it's definitely a different idea, and at current we are accepting all ideas, but keep in mind we want this a community project. If you already have everything you need for the game, there isn't much the rest of us can do, which is why I recommend the first two projects more then the pokemon one. In either case, you didn't give a summary of your game. What's the plot of it? What would be the point of it? I know nothing about Sailor Moon, so I can't help unless I know what's going on, who the characters are, etc. Can you give more details about your game?
  16. As you may have already noticed (due to it being the forum above this one) there is a new category and forum. It is for the RMXP Unlimited Productions Projects, and the topic for discussing which project we will work on first has been move to that forum. So, feel free to talk there, and remember, that forum is NOT a place to recruit members for your own games, but is a place to talk about the official RMXP Unlimited Productions games.
  17. Chapter 4: Of Beedrills and Bug Pokémon It didn't take much time at all before they found themselves at the entrance to Viridian Forest. The meadow had stopped, returning to trees once more as Viridian Forest now stood before them. Kiai and Emily stopped at the entrance and Emily stood behind Kiai, wrapping her arms around him as she began to shake. “Okay, Emily...they're just bug Pokémon...you can handle this...” she spoke, then bit her lip. “I hope I can do this...” Kiai and Emily walked down the main path of the forest, and Kiai spotted several different varieties of Pokémon, mostly Caterpie and Metapod, with a few Butterfree’s flying amongst the treetops. Weedles, being a bit shyer, were harder to find. "See?" spoke Kiai, gently nudging Emily, "there's nothing to be afraid of. You're perfectly safe." One Caterpie crawled up to Emily and she looked down at it. Her face turned to fear, but she tried her hardest not to move. It began to move closer, and she continued to fight, but the closer it got, the less she could. Finally, she lost it when it grabbed onto her leg and began crawling up. At that pointed she jumped back, falling onto her butt. "Get it off, get it off, get it off!" she spoke frantically as she waved her leg around, finally tossing the bug Pokémon off her leg. "It's creepy and gross!" she spoke loudly. Kiai shrugged. Experience was experience. He pointed at the Caterpie, and shouted, "Rattata, Quick Attack!" Rattata dashed toward the Caterpie, head butting it and sending it flying into the forest. Emily sighed and stood up. "I hope I can get rid of this fear eventually...or at least turn it into bug Pokémon just being gross...instead of scary AND gross..." she looked at her leg. "Honestly, though, it is really creepy to feel a Caterpie walking up your bare leg like that...not to mention just gross..." Kiai hung his head. "You know, Emily, we're going to be going up against a tried-and-tested Gym leader in only a few days. Shellshocker barely has any fighting experience, and you have about the same. This is pretty much your last chance to become comfortable with Pokémon battles. I'm sorry that it's against Bug-types, but think of it this way; you can overcome your fear at the same time.” Emily sighed. "I know..." she hung her head as well. "I really haven't been worrying about experience much..." she looked up at the bug Pokémon around her. "All right...let's give this a try I guess...Shellshocker, tackle that one over there." Emily pointed to a nearby Caterpie and Shellshocker rushed forward. The Caterpie turned to look at Shellshocker, only to get struck in the head by a Tackle. The Caterpie bounced back a little, then shook its head. The Caterpie rushed forward, Tackling Shellshocker now. Shellshocker took the hit and bounced back a little. "Shellshocker, Water Gun!" Emily shouted. Shellshocker inhaled a bit, then shot a burst of water from his mouth once more, which struck the Caterpie and pushed it back. It then fell backwards, swirls appearing in its eyes. "Yes!" Emily shouted. "I guess that wasn't too bad..." She turned, her eyes going wide, her face turning to fear, as she found herself now staring at four Caterpies, all facing her. "Shellshocker!" she shouted. Shellshocker quickly rushed to her side. "Hit them with Water Gun!" Shellshocker inhaled, then shot water out of his mouth at each one, knocking each one back. They turned and ran off and Emily sighed. Kiai approached her, clapping his hands. She turned to say something smart, thinking he was doing it sarcastically, until she saw the sincerity on his face. He wrapped his arms around her and embraced her. "I'm very proud of you, Emily." he spoke. Emily blushed. "Thanks...that was a lot harder then it probably looked, though..." she shuddered. "Bug Pokémon..." she sighed. "Icky and scary..." "I know it was harder than it looked, that's why I'm so proud of you." He hugged her extra-tight, then stepped back, still smiling. "I'm somewhat surprised at you. I know you don't like Bug Pokémon, but Butterfree's are really pretty, and not icky at all." "Well, Butterfree's are pretty...but in general, most bug Pokémon are icky...and they are only scary because of that Beedrill incident..." she sighed. "I think I'll be okay as long as no Beedrill appear, though...if they do...I'll scream..." No sooner had she spoken, then a Beedrill flew over her head. Emily felt the light gust of wind and heard the Beedrill shout "Beedrill!" as it flew by. Emily held in her fear for a moment, but luckily it had only passed by, meaning as quickly as she tensed up, she also relaxed. "Well, no point in sitting around and waiting for the Metapods to hatch. Let’s go." Kiai offered his hand to Emily, who still seemed somewhat shaken just to be standing in the middle of the forest. She smiled, and reached out to take it. Together, hand in hand, they walked down the path of the forest. Emily smiled as she looked at Kiai. Even though she was shaking from fear, she was at least happy that Kiai was here next to her. Another Beedrill flew by her head, and she once again tensed up, but soon quickly relaxed once more. She pulled out her blue pokeball and looked at it as they continued to walk. "I wonder just how powerful Goldy is...since he has the Pokérus." Kiai looked at it, he too was rather curious. "If it was anything else, it might be easy to tell...but Psyducks are so...weird. You can never tell how intense their headache is, so it would be hard to find a baseline in terms of strength. But I'm sure we could find a bug somewhere to test out on." As if reading his mind, a Venonat hopped out of a bush on the side of the path and bumbled along into the forest. "Eep!" Emily spoke, but then pushed herself to fight her fear. She tossed the blue pokeball forward. "Go, Goldy!" The ball hit the ground and opened, releasing the Psyduck within. He sparkled as he appeared, then gave a blank stare at the Venonat. "Psy..." Goldy began and he brought his hands up and set them on his head, holding his head, "...duck..." he finished. Emily pulled out her pokedex to check on Psyduck's attacks. "Scratch...ok..." Emily spoke, then looked back up at Goldy. "Goldy, use Scratch attack!" Goldy waddled forward, brought his hand around, and scratched the Venonat in front of him. The Venonat barely felt the attack, however, and turned to look at Goldy. It stepped back, then rushed forward, hitting Goldy with a fierce Tackle. Venonant just seemed to bounce off, however, as Goldy gave almost no response to the attack. "Interesting..." said Kiai. "Here, lets try something. Oi, Goldy!" Goldy turned to look at him. "...Psy...?" Goldy responded. Kiai began making strange faces and saying all sorts of conflicting gibberish. "...Pssyyyy...?" "Quick, Goldy, derive Bernoulli's Formula using Newton’s Laws. And while you're at it, write a thesis paper on string theory." Goldy grabbed its head, crossed its eyes and began wobbling back and forth, muttering "Psy-y-y-y…" Kiai, grinned, and whispered to Emily, "There, now try!" "All right...Goldy...use Psychic!" Goldy looked at Emily, giving a confused look. He wobble around a little bit, then, when he faced Venonat, the bug Pokémon charged for another Tackle. It hit Goldy right in the head, and Goldy's eyes began to glow. "Psyduck!" Goldy shouted. It suddenly seemed to be acting as if it was intelligent. The Venonat soon found itself lifted off the ground and floated into the air. The Venonat then shot off, flying towards a nearby tree, slamming hard into it. "Good, now use Confusion!" Goldy's eyes continued to glow. Electric-like bolts of purple light shot off towards Venonat, which hit it and made it react in pain. A moment later, the Venonat's eyes swirled as it walked around. "Yes! Now, Goldy, hit it with a Psybeam!" "Psy...duck..." Goldy spoke and it's eyes stopped glowing and it tilted its head. It was back to its normal self. "Damn it! Goldy, return!" she shouted, and held out the blue pokeball, allowing the Psyduck to be zapped back inside. "Go! Shellshocker!" Emily shouted and Shellshocker rushed forward. "Hit it with Tackle!" Shellshocker rushed forward, striking the Venonat with a good, hard Tackle attack. The Venonat fell to its back, its eyes swirling. "I don't want it, but you can have it," Emily spoke as she looked to Kiai. Kiai smiled. "You're a Pokémon trainer, Emily. You don't catch the ones you like, you don't catch a fair amount, you don't even catch the vast majority. You got to catch them all, even if you don't use it. Now finish this off right." "Aww, all right..." Emily pouted, then shrugged. "But I'll trade it to you later if you get a water Pokémon." She pulled out a pokeball and tossed it forward. It struck the knocked out Venonat and absorbed it into it. The ball landed and shook for a moment, then the light faded. "All right...I caught a...bug Pokémon..." she spoke, not really all that thrilled. "I'll send it to Professor Oak once we get to Pewter City." "He'll probably be surprised that you caught it." Suddenly he had a thought. "You know something? We should ask Professor Oak about the Pokérus; maybe even send him Goldy for a quick checkup!" "That's a pretty good idea," Emily spoke, nodding. "He might know something..." She walked over and picked up the pokeball and looked at it. She then placed it on her belt, then looked at Kiai. "You got to admit, that was pretty interesting...using Goldy...I wonder what it will be like when it evolves..." "As powerful as Psyduck, but without needing a headache to get there." Kiai spoke. They began walking down the path again, when Kiai wondered out loud, "I wonder why there are no spider-like Pokémon..." As he said this, he tickled Emily's lower back, quickly working his fingertips up her spine. Emily froze. "Spider-like Pokémon?" she felt Kiai's hand moving on her back. She closed her eyes tight. "Are you sure there's none? Cause there's something on my back..." she was trying to keep from screaming, and had no idea it was Kiai playing a joke on her. "Yes, there is...it's a TICKLEMON!" Kiai swung his other arm around and tickled Emily. "Eee!" Emily squeeled and giggled. Once he stopped, she smacked him on the back of his head. "You know, you really had me scared for a moment that a bug really was crawling up my-" Emily’s sentence was cut off by a sudden "Beedrill!" from behind. Her body tensed up, and she turned her head, her eyes coming in contact with a fairly large Beedrill. It seemed to float there, not moving, and Emily quickly spun around, so her full body was facing it, and began to step back. "Don't hurt me..." she spoke, the Beedrill flying up in her face now. "Shellshocker..." she spoke, terrified. "W-water Gun!" Shellshocker inhaled and shot a blast of water out at the Beedrill's side. It knocked him away for a single moment, and Emily's body seemed to react by fainting. The Beedrill was coming back now, though, aiming its pins at Shellshocker. Shellshocker quickly inhaled once more and shot another blast of water at the Beedrill, knocking it back and onto the ground this time. Shellshocker quickly ran to Emily, then looked to Kiai, almost giving him a look of "take care of that thing!" "Rattata, get in there and Bite it!" Rattata leapt toward the Beedrill, which narrowly missed the speedy Rattata with its spikes. The two fought, but Beedrill was losing badly, being unable to attack a small target so close. The two fell to the ground, and Rattata leapt away. Kiai glared at it. "You're mine now." He threw a pokeball, easily catching the weakened Beedrill. After collecting it, he returned to Emily, gently lifting her up into his arms. "Emily?" he whispered, "are you ok?" Emily groaned. "Huh? What?" she looked to Kiai. "Oh, thank heavens." She hugged Kiai. "That's the closest I've ever been to a Beedrill since that day...I was so scared...once I told Shellshocker what to do...I couldn't hold it anymore...my body just lost it..." she began to cry. "It was so scary..." * * * It was six years ago. Emily was much younger, and it occurred in the summer time. Emily smiled as a small Caterpie crawled towards her. At this time, she, her father, and Kiai, were all out near the Viridian Forest due to some business that Emily's father had. Kiai was there because he had a weird feeling before, and didn't want to leave Emily alone. "Look, Kiai!" Emily spoke, tugging on his shirt. "It's a Caterpie! It's a little icky...but it becomes a beautiful Butterfree!" Kiai smiled, and reached down to the Caterpie. It lazily crawled up his arm and across his back, which tickled him and made him giggle. "Eww! You let it crawl on you!" Emily looked up and blinked, seeing her father had walked off. She now remembered that her father had said "Take care of her, Kiai, I'll be back in a minute." Emily shrugged and turned, now looking up at the forest. "Viridian Forest looks kind of spooky. Dad says there's nothing scary in there...just a lot of bug Pokémon..." "Bug Pokémon aren't scary." spoke Kiai, as the Caterpie crawled down his other arm and away on business of its own. He was trying to sound brave, even though he was a little scared being in the forest alone. "They are a little...they're really icky, too," Emily nodded. She looked around for a moment, then something got her eye. A lone tree, sitting separate from the others was nearby, and on it were a small cluster of Kakuna. "Look at that!" she shouted and rushed over. She got close, but not too close. "All of those Kakuna! Amazing!" Kiai, intrigued, followed close behind her. "Wow...that's really cool..." Suddenly, a sliver of white light shown through a crack down the back of one of them. "Look!" whispered Kiai, pointing, "It's evolving!" The two watched as not one, but three Kakuna began to crack open, and three fully-evolved Beedrill emerged. "Wow!" Emily spoke. "Amazing! Bug Pokémon are really cool when they evolve." The Beedrills spread their wings and flew up a little. However, the voices of children startled them, and they began looking around. It took only a moment for one to spot Kiai and Emily. "Beedrill bee!" one of the Beedrill shouted, and the other two responded Emily's eyes went wide. "What's going on, Kiai?" "...Run. Just run, Emily!" Kiai turned and ran, and Emily followed. Not a moment too soon, as the Beedrills were already hot on their trail. They dashed through the woods, making for the entrance to the path, when suddenly Kiai heard a shriek and a thud. He stopped short and turned around to see the three Beedrill swarming around Emily, who had tripped over an exposed root. Kiai screamed fiercely, grabbed a stick, and ran head-long into the Beedrill. He bashed one on the head, and swatted at the other two until they gave up and flew off. He looked down at Emily, who had been stung a few times, and was drifting in and out of consciousness. He summoned all his strength to hoist her up onto his shoulders, and he carried her out of the forest to the Pokémon Center. "Kiai..." Emily spoke. She groaned. As Kiai entered the Pokémon Center, Nurse Joy rushed to help out. The next few minutes were a jumbled mess, seemingly to be an almost infinitely long time period to Kiai. Finally, after a few minutes, things settled down and Nurse Joy walked over to Kiai and smiled. "She'll be ok," the nurse spoke. "She was just stung a couple times. Luckily you got her here just in time." At that moment, Emily's father burst through the door. "Where's my daughter? Is she okay?" he asked Nurse Joy and she nodded. Kiai and the nurse both helped explain what happened, and Emily's father smiled in the end. "I have to thank you, Kiai. You're a wonderful friend to Emily, and just now, you saved her life." He hugged Kiai. "I just know something good will happen between you two." Emily's dad stood up and looked to the Nurse, who now looked sad. "Given the trauma involved in this..." Nurse Joy began, "...Emily may never be able to be around bug Pokémon again...I fear that something this traumatic usually causes a phobia...and really bad one at that..." she looked down. "I don't know for sure, you'll have to find out yourself, but I fear that she may be afraid of any bug Pokémon after this...and it will be a fear that she will probably never get over..." Emily's father nodded. "I understand, Nurse Joy, even so, at least she is alive." * * * Emily continued to hug Kiai, sniffling a little. "It's all because I was stupid...I wanted to see the Kakuna..." she sniffled a little more. "I shouldn't have ran that far from the entrance..." "It's ok, Emily. It's in the past. I'm not as weak as I once was, and you have Shellshocker as well. We'll never let anything like that happen to you again." Rattata squeaked in annoyance, and Kiai corrected himself. "Of course, you have Rattata too." Emily sniffled and nodded. "Yeah, I guess you're right..." She sniffled again, then raised her head to look at Kiai. Kiai rose his hand and wiped the tears from her eyes and she smiled a little. Emily slid herself off of Kiai, moving into an actual sitting position, her legs swung around at her side, and her arm resting on her leg. She looked to Kiai. "Can you help me up?" she asked. Kiai smiled, bent down, and wrapped his arms around her. He stood up straight, hoisting her up, but kept his arms around her for a little while. Emily smiled as she hugged him, resting her head on his shoulder for a moment. "I never would have made it this far without you. I'm so glad Professor Oak let you have that fourth Pokémon." "I'm glad too," spoke Kiai, "I'd be terribly lonely without you, and you'd be completely hopeless without me." He unfortunately failed to avoid another smack to the back of his head, but didn't mind. Emily then smiled and turned to walk, but her legs wobbled, and she fall back into Kiai's arms. "Maybe...I'll walk with you a little while?" Kiai pulled one of Emily's arms around his neck, and he held onto her waist, supporting her as they made their way down the path, further away from Viridian City, and ever closer to their first step down Victory Road.
  18. Chapter 2: The Meeting with the Council The next morning soon found itself and Jessica stretched as she awoke from her sleep. A very dry and dull “Good morning, my Lady” drifted across the room, emanating from the cloaked figure still sitting upright in the corner of the room. Jarod rose to his feet and briskly strolled over to the window, pulling back the curtains to splash golden light onto the bedroom floor. He turned and looked down at the young girl stretching and yawning in her bed. Although hidden in the shadow of his hood, his eyes gazed long and searchingly on her, and when he spoke next, there was an obvious second meaning to what he said; “Did you have a restful sleep, my Lady?” Jessica yawned and looked up at the taller, cloaked man. “Not really...” she groaned as she rubbed her eyes. “So many nightmares...” she muttered. In truth, she had awoken several times, about six or seven, just because of her nightmares. Jarod grunted softly, understanding the reasons but not liking the bitter taste they left in his mouth. He gazed for a few more seconds while she slowly shook off the cobwebs and, knowing that he'd get nowhere once she had sprung to life, he instead chose to pursue their original business. “The Council has had a shock, but they should be available today. If we leave early we may be able to steal some of their time, but we must be quick with our business, they will have an ordeal setting things back in order after the attack yesterday.” Jessica yawned again and nodded. “All right,” she spoke, stretching one last time. With that, she turned and got out of her bed. She walked over to her pack and pulled out some clothes. As was normal when adventuring with her protector, she turned her back to him and changed. Jarod turned his hooded face to the window and gazed into the golden orb as it peeked out from behind the distant hills. He drew a long, silent breath and let himself feel a moment’s peace before turning toward his protectee. “Shall I inform the Innkeeper that we are ready for breakfast?” Jessica turned as she finished getting her shirt on. “Yeah, that would be good. I am hungry.” She rubbed her eyes again. “I won't be awake until I get something in my system anyway...” she ran her fingers through her hair once. “Check and make sure they have my usual drink.” “Xanthine root is not common in these parts, but I will ask,” Jarod spoke. “I shall return momentarily.” He bowed low and swept silently out of the room and down the stairs to the Inns common room, where the Innkeeper was standing behind the desk. A few families had entered the Inn overnight, needing a place to stay, and a scattered few were sitting at the tables eating a simple breakfast. He surveyed the scene and then turned toward the Innkeeper. “My lady is ready for her breakfast, and she wonders...” He paused for a moment, his voice lowering, almost embarrassedly, “...if you keep any cherry-flavored Guamath.” The Innkeeper smiled and winked, “We do actually.” The Innkeeper quickly walked down the hall toward the kitchens, and the cloaked figure, now gaining a few worried stares from the families in the room, turned and walked quickly back upstairs. Jessica stretched once more as she looked at herself in the mirror. At this time, she was now fixing her hair. She had managed to get it into a ponytail, like normal. She then turned, hearing the door open. “So, do they have it?” she asked. Jarod bowed low once more. "Yes, my Lady. Breakfast is ready for you, whenever you wish it." He closed the door behind him and stood in silent attention. The smaller girl nodded. "Very good," she spoke, turning around fully. She was now fully dressed, wearing a tight, black, spaghetti-strap shirt, along with a pair of tight, black pants. Her hair was up in a ponytail now as well. "Well then, let's get breakfast, and then we need to visit the council. If all goes well, we can head back home..." she sighed. "With our luck...we'll be thrust into some other battle..." Jarod’s lips curled up into a slight smile. "It will be the bad luck of the poor souls who dare challenge us." He walked over to the young witch and hoisted her bag over his shoulder, then walked back to the corner where he sat. "I retrieved your staff last night, thankfully it was undamaged." He then walked to the door and opened it and stood waiting. "After you, my Lady." Jessica nodded. "That's good. If that were to be get damaged, or even taken, we'd have some trouble on our hands." She brushed the remaining hair up onto her head and walked forward, walking out and down into the main room of the inn, where she sat down on a chair and stretched her arms out over it. "Ugh...I hate waking up in the morning..." Jarod sat down across from her, causing several nearby people to scoot a bit further away. "Your favorite drink always seems to help with that. Speaking of which.." The Innkeeper’s wife arrived with two plates full of bacon, eggs, sausages, ham, and an assortment of other foods piled high. She laid down one plate in front of each, a jug of red, fizzy Guamath in front of the witch and a jug of milk for the other, and then trotted back into the kitchen. Jarod began eating at once, swallowing large bites with gulps of milk. Jessica grabbed the jug first, taking and drinking some of it down. She then set the jug down, shaking her head, as if to wake herself up. With one final stretch and yawn, she was awake. With that, she turned to her food and began to scarf it down, as if she hadn't eaten in weeks. This, however, was normal for her. Jarod gazed idly over a fork-full of egg and, with the air of a slightly annoyed parent, said "Chew your food," as Jessica nearly choked on a large bit of ham and had to chug down her drink in order to clear her throat. She naturally continued as if she had heard nothing, and Jarod continued eating in silence. Once her plate was empty, Jessica slumped back into her chair. "That was good," she spoke, smiling. She stretched out her arm and summoned her staff. "Time for morning training." She stood to her feet. "I'll be outside when you're done." With that, she walked out of the inn, where she began to train herself. Spells could be seen flying around outside the windows as she practiced both magic and melee combat. Jarod just continued eating at a calm pace, now and then glancing out the window to watch the spells and charms fly out of the staff. At last he finished and, hoisting the smaller girl’s bag once again over his shoulder, he walked out into the sandy street, slowly coming to life as the townspeople began their day, a few pausing to watch the beautiful young witch firing spells off at passing clouds. Jessica stopped as she saw Jarod walking out of the inn. She twirled her staff around in her hand for a moment, before thrusting her hand to the side, the staff vanishing in a flash of light. She then ran back over to him, smiling. The way she was acting was almost child-like. "Ready to go?" Jarod bowed slightly, still somewhat unaccustomed to her carefree and child-like attitude, despite their time together and his knowledge of her power and capabilities. "Ready, my Lady." He straightened up and the two took off once again toward the Council building. Jessica smiled as she skipped her way to the Council building. It was truly odd how child-like and carefree this girl was. The thought of it sometimes boggled the cloaked man's mind. She couldn't be any younger then eighteen, yet she acted like a seven year old at times. It was true, in times where she needed to be serious, she was, but when she wasn't required to, she was carefree and child-like. One knew, though, that if she had her serious side up, then something very serious was about to happen, or was happening. She stopped skipping once they reached the grand marble steps of the Council building. She looked up. "So, this is the Council building." Her personality seemed to change instantly. A look of seriousness returned to her face. "Let's go," she spoke. Jarod’s musings of her child-like nature dissolved as rapidly as the seriousness took over her face. Now was not the time. He glanced sharply about before leaving her side and walking up to the heavy wooden doors, still splintered from his boot last night. He pushed them aside, throwing sunlight into the marble entry hall with a single tall shadow of a beautiful young witch pulsating with a strong aura. He held the door as Jessica walked in, and as soon as she passed, resumed his place at her side. Jessica walked forward, looking around the marble entrance hall. From there, she walked further on, entering the council room itself. As she did, she gave a bow to the council. "Members of the Karagum Council, I am Princess Jessica Elendil, daughter of King Jansson Elendil, the King of Shandria." She stood up straight. "I bring a warning from my father. The Dark Eye Seeing Stone is no longer safe here. This was proven by yesterday's event." The council, shaken from the events of last night, harried from the fallout because of them, and shocked from this new news gawked in silence. Some turned to their peers and whispered amongst themselves, either worried or agitated. An old man sitting in the center of the table hushed his peers and stood up. He paused, finding the proper words, and spoke, "My child, we appreciate the part you and your...erm...accomplice," he made a small bow toward the man in the dark cloak, "played in the defense of our town. However, we can assure you that the Stone is under greater protection than a reckless band of thieves can ever hope to break." The whisperings stopped, and all eyes seemed to dart from the old man to the young lady. Jessica growled. "You don't get it, do you? Do you not remember the prophecy? You fools!" she shouted and growled again. "'The Dark Hand shall come and steal away the Keys to Destruction' is what the prophecy says. That 'reckless band of thieves' we encountered yesterday was just a blunt force. It was weak as compared to what the Dark Hand has at its disposal. You cannot just sit idly by while they come! Use the damn thing and you'll see that! The Dark Eye Seeing Stone shows only the dark future ahead. If you use it, odds are, you'll see them coming. They will kill all of you and steal away the Stone. You must give it to my father. He can keep it in Shandria, the Floating City. No one can touch it there! You must listen to me." Jessica then turned and looked at the cloaked man at her side. "Jarod, tell them! Tell them that if they don't listen, they stand no chance against the Dark Hand!" The cloaked eyes, which were fixed upon the Council Elder, suddenly darted to Jessica. Jarod hesitated, but obeyed. He strode quickly forward, pulling off the leather glove concealing his left hand. He raised it, fingers spread wide. It was so hacked and mangled that it could hardly be a hand at all, but most distinctive was that it was charred black, from wrist to fingertip. He spoke in a low whisper, his tone bordering on fear, "The Dark Hand always obtains what it desires. They will obtain the Stone, the prophecy foresees this. Our best chance for survival is to protect it as well as we can and destroy the army they have amassed, so that when we fight back, we will be less hindered. You have one week. They will return by then, with one hundred-fold troops. The attack last night was merely a scouting mission." He shoved his charred hand back into his leather glove and walked back to his position behind Jessica. "You see? We must protect the stone to the best of our abilities!” Jessica spoke up. “They cannot touch it in Shandria, and without it, they cannot open the gate to their master!" The council elder grumbled. "What of Karagum?" he demanded. "In a week's time, when they come, what will happen to our city when they do not find the Stone?" Jessica sighed. "I'm afraid; there is nothing that can be done to save Karagum. Even if you were to leave the Stone here, so that they can get to it, they would still destroy your city. They will bring dragons, catapults, mages, warriors, everything, even Chaos Warriors!" Jessica sighed. "You must give us the stone so we may take it to Shandria. There is no other option. Either way, your city is lost. It is up to you on if you want to give the Stone away to the Dark Hand is all." The Elders lower lip quivered as he searched desperately for a means of escape, but he knew his options were limited. Finally he spoke, but he addressed Jarod, "Will they return tonight?" "No," said Jarod, "they will plan tonight. They can come as early as tomorrow night, but they will come no later than one week." The Elder nodded and turned back to Jessica. "We will give you the stone," several of the other Council members gasped, "but we will not sit here to be slaughtered meaninglessly. We shall give you the Stone before nightfall, and you must take it with the promise that you will lead the majority of this town to Shandria." His voice cracked a bit before he went on. "We will find some brave souls to make a feint...so that the rest may escape. We request your assistance one more time, to aid us in this effort." Jessica breathed in and let out a large sigh. "I can try. I can't guarantee the Silver Dragons will agree to this, though,” she spoke. “After all, no one gets in or out of Shandria without riding them, and I cannot guarantee they will be willing to ride most of Karagum up into the city. However, I can promise to find a home for the majority of your city, though I cannot promise it will be in Shandria." She reached into her pack. "Now then, please remember, you cannot touch the Stone with your bare hands. You will need this in order to hold the Stone." She pulled out a small cloth pouch. "Stick it in this, then give it to me. You will also need to choose who is to go, and who is to stay. I dread to say it, but anyone over fifty stands no chance of surviving the trip to Shandria. I dread to say it even more, but, I must request that anyone going is no younger then six. I'm sorry, but I fear I cannot be responsible for tiny children and babies." Jessica closed her eyes. "I dread saying that, though. Truthfully, if it was my choice, I would allow all of you to come, but carrying a city with me will be hard enough, I don't need the extra troubles of tiny children, or old people who will slow us down. Again, I regret saying this, but I really have no choice." She bowed. "I hope you can understand." The Elder nodded grimly. "I have heard of Silver Dragons and their temperament. I do understand." He sighed heavily. "Very well then…the elders, women, and children will make their way South to Shilan. The able men will follow you to Shandria, where they will aid in its defense. Our compliment of wizards will set up defenses around the city and those able will accompany you afterwards. Those unable will travel south as well. Merak," a graying wizard at the end of the table looked up, “spread the word to the town. We must leave before nightfall." Merak nodded and hurried out of the chamber. "Denebola," a witch sitting next to him looked up. "Yes?" the witch asked. "Choose your compliment and begin a plan of defense for the city,” the elder spoke. “Anything and everything you can muster. The rest of you…please come with me to retrieve the Stone." He gently picked up the cloth pouch and the Council solemnly departed the room. Jessica gave a sigh of relief. "That went better then I thought. I was afraid that they wouldn't listen." She closed her eyes. "Now comes the hard part. We have to actually get the Stone to Shandria before the Dark Hand gets a hold of it. That won't be easy." She opened her eyes and waved her hand, a small map-like thing appeared in front of her. "Shandria is moving towards us, but it won't get here in time normally, so, we will need to go to it. At its current rate, it should only be a couple days journey." She sighed again and closed her eyes as she offered up a prayer. "Jinsei have mercy on these poor families that we leave behind." The map vanished and she turned, quickly switching back to her child-ish personality. "So, we have until nightfall then. What do you want to do?" she smiled, putting her hands behind her back and pushing herself up onto her tip-toes, pushing her body out more towards Jarod who sighed under his breath. Yes, it had went better than it could have, Jarod thought, but I had hoped your serious side would have lasted at least a little bit longer. "My Lady, I would like to help the city in any way that I can. However, if my Lady wishes for something else, I must accompany her." Jessica sighed. "You're right," she spoke, switching back to her serious side, and standing up straight, her arms moving around and folding up against her chest. "I'll contact my father and tell him our progress." She closed her eyes, going into a spell trance that would allow her to speak telepathically with her father, no matter how far from him she was. Meanwhile, back in Shandria, a tall man sat on the throne. He had short, brown hair that was smoothed out on his head. As well he had a short beard and a moustache. His eyes were the same color as his daughter’s, though his face was different. It was his wife’s face that Jessica had inherited, and for that, he was happy. It had been a very busy week since King Jansson’s daughter left. His hand-picked protector, a tall man in a long dark cloak, seemed able-bodied but somewhat dark. Despite the trust he had in the strength of the cloaked man and his own powerful daughter, he couldn't help but worry. He knew the situation was grim and that Karagum would be under attack at any moment. Everything around him seemed to remind him of his daughter, and the silence in the palace had begun to be rather upsetting, despite its re-assurance that nothing was being "accidentally" broken. The etched lines on his ancient but strong face seemed to fade when he felt the aura of his beloved daughter pierce his thoughts and speak to him. "Father?" Jessica spoke through the connection. “I’m here, my daughter,” the King replied. "Thank goodness I managed to connect to you. I'm in Karagum. The council is getting the Stone as we speak. I promised the council, though, that I would find a home for the most of their city. I know not all of them will make it to Shandria, nor do I expect the Silver Dragons to allow the people safety in Shandria, but, if they cannot find a home there, I was hoping to send them off with a golem or two to Drandor." "This is grave news indeed…but at least the Stone will soon be in our possession. Tell the Council that Shandria will of course be happy to accommodate as many as we can, and as many as the Silver Dragons are willing. We should be able to spare a golem or two to take the others to Drandor. I take it, then, that the Dark Hand has made its preliminary attack, and that your protector is fulfilling his duties?" “Of course, Father,” Jessica responded. “He has protected me well so far, and with him by my side, I have no real worries at this time. However, I know the Dark Hand will be returning...We will be making our way to Shandria by nightfall. Please, Father, contact Jufar, the King of the Silver Dragons, he must know of our plans so that he may tell his followers that we are coming." "I shall do so straightaway,” the King responded. “All of Shandria’s assets are at the disposal of the innocents of Karagum. Please, daughter, take care of yourself and return as soon as possible." "Thank you, Father. I will see you soon, then." With that, the link to her father was broken, and Jessica relaxed. "Ok, Father is going to help us out,” she spoke now to Jarod. “I hope he can convince Jufar to let us take these people into Shandria." "My Lady,” Jarod spoke, “the King of such a noble kingdom requesting help from such an ancient dragon for such a humble purpose should yield no difficulty. If it does…then we must pray that the Dark Hand takes no interest in this town, but calls off the attack as soon as it realizes the Stone has been removed." Jarod’s hand slid up from his side and gripped the hilt of his sword under his cloak. "If it comes down to it, I will slit the throats of the entire army." Jessica sighed and nodded. "I do not think you would be able to stand against all of the Dark Hand's army." She closed her eyes. "Well, let's just hope we can deal with anything that comes. I know I can use my magic against them..." she looked at her hands. "But if I do...will my demon come out?" A warm cloak, guided by a gentle arm, wrapped around her shoulders, and a large hand wrapped tenderly around Jessica’s. Jarod spoke with a soft whisper, more befitting a child’s nurse than a scarred mercenary. "As long as I take breath, my Lady, I shall protect you. No monster, beast or demon can hurt you as long as I am by your side." Jessica smiled. "Thank you, that's very nice to know." She hugged him, rather child-like. It was the first true contact she had made with him in any sort of romantic way. Jarod rested his hand on her head and returned her hug. They lingered for only a brief moment before they parted, and his serious demeanor returned. "Where, then, shall we go in the interim, my Lady? I would like to safeguard the Stone and the village as soon as possible, though if my Lady believes that the village is in good hands with the Council, we can…I suppose…erm…" he seemed to struggle with the last word as though the concept was as foreign as the stars, "…relax." Jessica giggled. "Well, relaxing would be nice. I could use a bath at least..." she shrugged. "But, I'll leave it to you, I suppose." "My Lady has accomplished the task for which she was sent.. I suppose she has earned a..." again, he seemed to struggle to form the word "…break. We could return to the Inn…or perhaps there are hot springs around." Jessica nodded. "Yeah, I suppose you're right." She smiled, her child nature returning. "Well, then, let's go to the hot springs." "I believe we can find the hot springs on the east side of town, in the forest at the base of the mountains." He turned and led her out of the chamber into the main hall, where wizards and witches, old and young, were bustling about in a great fever. They walked casually out into the bright sunshine and headed east, the mountains looming in the distance, the rolling hills and forests coming down to meet them. Jessica sighed as she looked around. "You know, it's so odd,” she spoke. “These people live in a city right next to the Mountains of Nightmare, yet no one cares. It's the very source of demons, where the Great Portal is said to be, yet no one is afraid that demons may come through and destroy this town..." "Humans are soft creatures,” Jarod replied. “They fear only what is right in front of them. The Demons have been quiet for the past few years, and the Great Portal has never been found. Unless they were emerging right this second, no one here would fear them. Is it bravery, or foolishness? How often one can be mistaken for the other..." Jessica sighed and nodded. "I think them fools...but perhaps it is bravery...or perhaps...it is that they are pretending the reality of demons living beside their city is false. Even if the Great Portal isn't real...there are still demons in those mountains..." she looked over at the not so far away mountain range. She watched as the clouds above the mountains seemed to shift and change, but all the way never moving from their spot over the mountains. "Even if the Great Portal isn't real...the very darkness of the mountains should still frighten them, yet they live right next to it..." "Perhaps my Lady believes all who do not live on a flying city to be foolish, with death on every side of those on the ground." Even though his hood and cloak didn't twitch, Jessica could tell Jarod had cast a sideways glance at her. Jessica sighed. "Yeah, that's true...living here on the ground, anyone can attack you." "Then my Lady believes me foolish as well." Jessica gave a shrug. "Those I truly find foolish are those who do not believe in the Seer of Ages. I feel bad that they will end up in death or torment for not listening to him." "There are those who hold fast to the belief that fate is not in the hands of the past, and that knowing our future is nothing but an opportunity to change it. Is that not what we are doing now? We all perish, my Lady. There are some who call it 'bravery' when one chooses to die by their own means, and foolish to play a part when we all, eventually, return to the earth." Jessica nodded. "Yeah, that's true...who was it that once said 'Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it'?" She sighed. "So many worlds were created before this one...I fear what may happen should we forget what happened in the past with the others..." "You contradict yourself, my Lady,” Jarod spoke. “You remember the past, that this world is not the first, yet you fear what should happen if this world should perish. It is not the first, and I'm sure Jinsei will see to it that it will not be the last. If Jinsei wills it to be so, then it shall be so. However, Jinsei does not play with us like we are chessmen. This world is his, but we are ours. Whatever grand fate Jinsei has for us, it is his choosing. The best we can do, my Lady, is work with what we have right in front of us..." Here he stopped, and looked up at the decorated arch over the path which leads to the hot springs resort. “And let the Gods decide the rest. Shall we?" He turned to her and bowed slightly. "Aye, I guess you're right." Jessica now noticed where they were. "Let's go," she spoke, returning to her more child-like nature. They walked down the path, well beaten and cleared, one walking solemnly and heavily, the other skipping as lightly as a feather on a breeze. It wasn't far to walk; the resort was visible through the trees, before they reached the low wooden building, one main hall with two wings on either side. In the 'courtyard' was the public hot spring, separated by a high bamboo wall. They walked up the steps and through the intricately carved front door and approached the front desk, behind which stood a young woman wearing a bright smile who welcomed them as they entered. "Oh! Good day!” the woman spoke. “Are you here for a bath or will you be staying in a room? Our Master Suite would be perfect for a young couple such as yourselves." "I'm just here for a bath is all, thanks," Jessica spoke, smiling. She looked up at Jarod, almost as if wishing they truly were a couple. The receptionist nodded. "Right this way then, I'll show you to the changing area." She walked Jessica over to a small doorway, where she could change in private. She then turned and looked at Jarod. "And what may I do for you, good sir?" Jarod waited until Jessica had closed the door to the changing area before he lowered his voice and whispered to the receptionist, "You can provide my Lady with anything and everything she requests, and…you should expect a message from the Council soon. I suggest you inform your guests that they may have to move." Jessica smiled as she hummed away a tune as she changed. She changed out of her normal clothes, and into a much smaller bathing suit. She then came out from the changing room and smiled. "Time for a nice bath." She walked to the springs and got in them, relaxing as she did. "It feels so nice." The receptionist and Jarod shared a hurried and hushed talk, during which her bright smile faded, along with the color in her cheeks, after which she hurried off. Jarod walked to the springs as well, though he took up a spot in a shaded corner and sat down. Jessica looked up at Jarod, who wasn't far from her. "You just going to stay there, or join me?" she asked, pulling on a strap to her bathing suit. One thing Jarod would know was that, after she was comfortable in a spring, she would usually remove her clothes, as to feel the warm water on her whole body. Being a hot spring, not many wore clothes into it anyway, and Jessica was certainly not a conservative person when it came to her body. "My Lady," Jarod sighed, "there is a reason those of my order wear dark cloaks. It's not to identify each other; it's to protect the tender eyes of those around us. A mercenary bears brutal scars of his violent life, and those of us who belonged to the greatest mercenary guild in known history are no exception. What lies beneath my hood should not be seen by anyone, especially not the tender eyes of a young lady." "I see..." Jessica shrugged. "Well, all right, that's fine." With that, she pulled on her bathing suit a little more, pulling the straps off her arms, and then slipping the entire bathing suit off. She placed it next to the spring and closed her eyes. The water came to just below her chest, leaving her breasts exposed. Jessica, however, did not care. Jarod shifted a bit in his seat, as would any man confronted with such beauty. He stuck to his duty however, and didn't move or speak. Jessica smiled as she just relaxed. She didn't say a thing, until, of course, a loud crashing noise was heard and Jarod sprung to his feet and gripped his sword. Jessica’s eyes shot open and her head turned. A small, black orb was rolling towards the springs. As if by reflex, she moved to the side of the spring, grabbing the orb with her hands. When she did, however, her eyes went blank, as if she had entered a trance. A dark aura spread out from the orb and covered her. Something terrible was happening. "Oh no!" a woman shouted. "She touched the Dark Eye! A terrible vision must be going through her mind right now. If only there was something we could do. The Dark Eye cannot be removed from her hands, though." Jarod growled, but he knew the warning he had heard was truthful. Letting go of his weapon, he threw off his cape and laid it down on the edge of the bath, then carefully drew the naked and dripping sorceress out and gently laid her down on it. He gazed at her unblinking expression and watched her bare chest slowly rise and fall. Her breathing seemed amazingly slow. It was almost as if her body had mostly shut down.
  19. Okay, so, I think people might be missing the question, I'm not sure, so I'll give the answer I think you are asking for. When you open the script editor, go down to Main. When you right-click it, you will see an option that says "Insert" click that, and it will create an empty script. From there, you just have to learn scripting so that you can write scripts -nods- Hope that helps ^^
  20. Yeah, it really isn't, but at the same time, it's unique, right? But, we'll have to see. Well, I do have some maps I need done. Any chance you could make and island and a cave for me? It's going to be the final level where the player faces the elite four. So the island is really the thing I need the most. I'm thinking of ripping the graphics for the elite four stadiums, then making them what the players enters. You can make the island out of this tileset. http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/1323/outsidegv5.png I'll either upload a demo game, or I'll upload some of the other tilesets later, but if I do, it will be in the other topic. EDIT: Uploaded alpha version 0.1 to savefile (it wouldn't let me upload to here). Get it here http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=1530 You'll need winrar
  21. Yeah, this is done with a lot of scripting, and a lot of editing of txt files, believe it or not. It's fun so far, and I'm enjoying making it. Just need a little help, and I could really get it working.
  22. To go with my recent idea of the possibility of turning RMXP Unlimited into a game making group, instead of just a resource-gathering website, I am posting this thread so that people can see my current idea in "full colors" sorta speak. (Post 1 of the idea Post 2 of the idea) My idea is basically to bring all RMXP Unlimited members (or at least those who are willing to help) together to make a single project. The hope is that, maybe with this, our forum can become active. I think that the main thing that would help us is actually having a REAL completed project on this forum. I am opening this topic to any ideas any of you may have. However, since we are posting ideas, I shall post my three current ideas for projects. Crystals of Chaos The first in the Journey of Heroes series ( Hey! A Pokemon Game Well...for this one...I don't really have much...it's my current project, though, and I'm not really planning to stop working on it unless I can find something better, something I can actually do. So, those are my ideas. I think they are all pretty good ideas, and they all need scripts, graphics, etc, so there will be a lot for everyone to do. Writers can probably think of good ways to make puzzles, mappers will be needed, scripters for different systems (CMS, CBS, etc.), and much more. Also, feel free to drop by any of your own ideas as well. If you do, I would recommend giving a title and a summary of the game, like I did above. It will help interest people into getting the game made if they know some info, so please don't just drop in "Let's make 'Name of Game'" because probably no one will want to work on your idea for a project if they know nothing about it.
  23. Hmm...we need a good manager...I really don't know about that...I honestly have all kinds of ideas for games, but I don't really know if I'd be a good manager...I don't like checking on people and how they are doing on resources, pictures, etc. So I probably wouldn't make a good manager...unless that's not what would be needed. I'd be willing to share some of my ideas, though. I have 3 we could try: Crystals of Chaos, Keys to Destruction, and my current Pokemon game. All three would be great games if we could get a team together to work on one of them. In either case, I have a story for the first two, and need graphics, scripts, etc. for all of them, so there would be work for anyone who wants to try. -will make a new topic about this- EDIT: Topic made: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=1743
  24. I'm really at a loss of suggestions as well...I think a lot about the future of my game making, though, and the only thing I could think of would be a revamp into an actual game making business, where we all work together to make one gamee, instead of all working on our own ideas. I mean, if we all came together, I'm sure we could do it...but it would take time and effort, and everyone would have to give all they can (not saying give everything, but 2-3 hours of your free time, assuming you have that, would be nice. STILL BE WITH FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND GIRL/BOYFRIENDS, THOUGH. Don't quit your real life just for a non-profit group making free games). That's about my only recommendation, sorry if it doesn't help much. I know we tried the idea before, but I think we could again if we wanted to. Also...maybe the program is just too out of date? Perhaps we should all turn our attention to other programs, like Adventure Game Studio, Game Maker, that sort of thing? I know a little about AGS, and could probably learn a lot more if I had a team to work with. I could program (heck, 5 people could program), someone else (multiple others maybe) for graphics, someone else (multiple others again if possible) working on music. We could form a group like Anonymous Game Developers Interactive, who made remakes of King's Quest 1 and 2, and Quest for Glory 2 using AGS.
  25. From Diamond and Pearl? You mean Twinleaf Town? I'll check it out when I get a chance. I don't use MSN anymore, but I have yahoo messenger, and last I checked, MSN and Yahoo Messenger can talk to each other, I'm emily_konichi@yahoo.com EDIT: Looks pretty good, actually. And I see you put "Twinleaf Town" in the game, but typed "Littleroot Town" here on the forum. Looks pretty good, though. Would be better with Sinnoh graphics but...meh...what can you do? It's not like we have them or anything.
