Perfectly fair point, yours definately had the most content and was the best hands down. Your right and I think his was the best (Not trying to shut down the other two), I'm rating it more on what I expected vs. what was provided. My interpretation isn't "Right" or anything. Ultimately it doesn't matter, I'm just necroposting anyways. Ha, ha. :lmao:

Yeah, yeah! But you know what I mean. I didn't know about that function and sometimes people don't know they need something until you tell them they do! Anyways, I played all three games and my thoughts: Saltome - Straight to the concept, didn't experiment very much or build further off that concept with his one style. Very cookie cutter feeling. Broken Messiah - Got creative, followed the concept, lacked content. Dolarmak - Lots of content, needs more support elements to support gameplay, story needed a more logical flow, enjoyed the custom graphics (MGS who-hoo!), needs more polish. Overall my vote would go to Broken Messiah, although I did enjoy Dolarmak's project and it's ambition, I couldn't get past the tedium, illogical story flow, and lack of overall polish is what killed it for me. Broken Messiah may have not had as much content, it just felt a little more solid. But kudos to all three of you for entering a contest and seeing it through. Hopefully next time around I can compete against you guiz! :thumbsup:

Man, this is a good post to reply to. Sad that nobody has. Not a crazy idea. I've done it several times. In fact, I actually have a blank database file specifically for that. Saves time instead of deleting things individually. I've never finished a game enough to give you tips on Database, but it doesn't hurt to use the default database as reference material Doing weapons and armor by Metal type feels consistent and organized IMO, I consider naming them more disorganized. I've done both. The former is boring. So what I try to do is name things creatively but give clear indication that one item is better than another (Leather Armor, Reinforced Leather Armor) or something like that.

I'm inclined to agree with Dolarmak. I think censoring is to overbearing and only adversely affects the the target audiance of any given medium. I don't see middle-aged women in their 40's reading the back of a Grand Theft Auto game case and thinking, "Oh gee, I always wondered what it'd be like to be a gang banger." They aren't the target audiance. So because they take offense over a product they do not consume, people who do consume and create the product are getting punished. This is wrong. My least favorite case of censorship is Drakengard, a game that didn't reach its potential partly due to censorship (Not to mention bad development decisions). "Oh, but, think of the children!" shouldn't ever be a valid arguement in censorship. This movie is rated R, this game is rated M. End of discussion. It isn't up to private and public organizations to babysit your kid. Stop being lazy. You have a valid point Marked, people are sensitive. But Hollywood isn't the problem. Hollywood only reflects human nature. Smoking Cigerettes was a thing a couple hundred years before Cinema even existed. Prostitution has existed before cinema. Armies of almost any age used to pillage villages and rape women and men. Hollywood has not sexualized a generation, it has only validated a sexualized race. My counterpoint: It can be Cinema, Video Games, Music, Book, Theatre, Dancing, Nature, Religion, etc. All of the above can influence a person to do good and bad things, and I don't feel that censorship is going to sufficiently prevent the bad things.

I felt that passionate about that debate years ago. Then I realized: You cannot change a point of view that does not want to be changed. When she is willing to be more open minded during a debate, then you debate. Otherwise, disagree and ignore it. There is a lot of misinformation out there. Only time can change them. Time will bring results. You don't even need to bring up information from the 1800's, her childrens disorders, or columbine. Humans are violent. Always have been, always will. These "Civilized" people (I.E. Your Dad's GF) have this notion that everyone in modernized society are not animals. We are violent animals. That simple fact by itself is what caused these tragedies. Don't let her frustrate you.
