  1. Hey, that's pretty bad A, you should keep working on drawing. More improvement, you could do some fancy drawings. Especially for something like Rpg Maker.
  2. I guess it more or less the "anime" style of drawings that make it a Manga, yeah?
  3. Ya know, for a fusion, this is pretty good. Good job. Maybe I'll use the sprite.
  4. Alrighty, first off. I gotta say, you do a good job as far as storylines go. And your speech wasn't to bad, although I found it hard to see the differences in personalities between Trevor (Terrance) and Will. When they were talking in the in inn room, it felt like the same person talking to himself. That said, Terrance hasn't had a fair share amount of time for character development. So I leave it alone. You must be new to Rpg Maker, which is good, it's always nice to have fresh talent. However, your mapping skills do need some work on. Why don't you refer to Black Shadow's mapping tutorials here at the site? I'm sure they'd do you some good. Notable things I'd like to point out graphically would be the fencing, and lack of doors. There is a characterset that has doors you can use. Also, the enviroment is rather bland, with hardly a variety of vegitation as well as terrain differences. As I said before, besides the two main characters, speech went find. With the exception of the gazillion amount of grammical errors to be found. Like the mispelling of "Through" as "Threw". Simple things like that should be fixed. If you unsure on how to spell something, don't improvise, look it up. When it came to eventing, I gotta say you got a little lazy. Especially with the bully scene. When you panned the screen, you didn't pan it back. Plus I could reactivate them bullying your sister multiple times. Use a local switch for minor changes like that. It could be said you got lazy when it came to eventing, when I went from one town to another, you just went into story telling mode. There isn't a need to rush the story. You should make a section inbetween that. That way you can fight monsters and give the player time to like the main character, even throw in some cutscenes for further character development before you throw in another hero. Overall, I can't say Peasant Tale was a good experience, the only fun factor was the storyline. It does, however, have potential to be a good game. Just needs some rework on the graphics and event processing.
  5. Or you could just simply set the deer trigger back to the action button, and right above that, change the movement "type" to random. Then put your message in the Event Command list.
  6. This is reminding me of Megatokyo. Man. I still need to buy the Manga.
  7. I don't know, something about prank calling Leon.
  8. It can be considered Manga as long as it has the same style. In example: picture slides progress in reverse, rather than a standard comic. Which progresses from right to left.
  9. Yup, I remember. lol. That just reminded me of something Wyz said over the phone once, the first time I talked to him.
  10. Computer - no, electricity. If it wern't for electricity, I might get bored and kill people.
  11. I'm gonna hold you too it! ;)
  12. Sounds like a date. ;) If you get rich, you'd better let me stay at your crib for a few.
  13. I would, but, my drawing skills are below average, but they don't suck balls. And I blow at stories. But, I do wish you good luck, it sounds like a fun idea!
  14. I don't know, not to sound much like a copycat. But when I tried working Momo's ABS system to make my game. And yeah, I know how to mod it, mostly. I just realized how much it pissed me off, and I couldn't work it to my needs. Then I realized: My knowledge on scripting is too limited to make what I vision. So, fuck it. I might just do what Leon is going to do, except just continue making tutorials about eventing. Maybe someone will surpass me, and it could help them tell their stories.
  15. Scripts do make games look pretty. But it's the events that give the meat to game making. I know many, including Leon, would argue that scripting is what eventing is based on. I know that. With RGSS, eventing is now based on scripts. I believe it's because of eventing that RPG Maker so user friendly. Eventing allows you to do everything from NPC speech to making the player go from point A to point B with relative ease.
  16. lol, that sounds like an interesting idea. Passing the torch. Well, sort've. More like lighting the torch of others.
  17. If you can't use the same activation code or anything, then redownload XP on your new computer, install both the maker and the RTP. E-mail yourself the PSI Key from your old computer and replace the new one on you new computer. It should now be activated.
  18. lol, I was on for the most part of yesterday and today waiting for you! It's 3 in the morning right now, so your probably not going to be on, as I'm sure you live in the US, so, Time Zone won't be a major difference. I'll be on all later today.
  19. Welcome to Unlimited. We have an influx of veteren members and newbie members alike. Share what you know, learn what you can. I myself have been in the buisness a good six years, and has yet to produce a game. =p
  20. First, I must say: I really did love the mapping and the NPC's and how they spoke. It wasnt' bland, it was interesting. Which definately hooked me. However, I wasn't fond of the beginning, you were in the maze, can we have an explaination why? There were slight errors in speech, little mispellings such as, "lier" which is "liar". And I did get lose with the female archologist after the mini-earthquake. But, there wasn't anything significant that would stray you away from the game. I also spotted some would be secrets for later in the game, such as the Young Girls house with the light pouring from the wall. Or perhaps it is a forshadowing for later events in the game? Which brings me to another thing, I did notice some forshadowing. Overall, the story and enviroment is well constructed and above average - especially for RPG Maker games. I'm sure you know that I did not recieve a Blue Feather. That's all I got for now, please, keep making more, I'm rooting for you. I may write a full blown review, when you add more. I'm assuming the demo ended when you be back to talk to Tetsuya's wife, and she spoke nothing of the events at hand.
  21. Damn good job Rose, I really liked this, a lot. Like, a lot a lot. If I owned my own site, I'd put this on there. Good job!
  22. rolf, dude. lol. Nice find. Ha, ha. Linux owned Mac and PC.
  23. I've heard that quote before, I didn't know he said it though. IS that Tupac drawing from the boondocks?
