Oh man, I remember having this situation. It really sucked. :P Make sure you copied everything directly to the folders they're supposed to be in. I think how I got around the map thing was I actually made new, blank maps? For every map that I had I created another map. So if you have 5 maps, I'd make 5 blank ones, then paste the data in, save, exit, go back in and check if they're there. Luckily I only had 10 maps, it was the ton of eventing I had to save. ;n;

My real name is Katherine uwu Apparently I was named after some queen or princess, according to my parents, not sure if that's true or not. :P

I am your father.

It's actually 4000. typo there Germany. But yeah, considering each hit landed either null or 12-14 at Level 1, I had a hard time... well, not losing XD But hey, I think it's just Germany and me who have an irrational hatred of battles. Otherwise, I would say it's reasonable. Everything else I wanted to say, Germany has already said. what I find interesting is the "Final Fantasy Z" title in that doc D: btw I'm sorry for not getting back to you on your art, school and personal things have caught up a lot lately. If you're still wanting an artist, which I'm not sure when I have time for, I have actually finished a couple other things for personal projects. If you go to Germany's and my game page link: http://www.gdunlimited.net/games/shinsou-lullaby, that's my drawing that's the cover for the page. It's not very good, but at the same time it's not horrible :P

If I remember, one of the Pokemon Essentials kit had it? But I've never use them before, I don't know if they'd be waaaay overkill for what you want to do or not... and I haven't tested it, so I have no idea if it works. There used to be a Japanese one floating around, I had it on my USB but idk if it works for the same thing. I'll do some digging through my flash drives... like all seven of them or something, which will take a while :P

Ah, this is awesome! Thanks, Bigace, this will be super useful (I think I had an idea for a way I could use this at one point...). So thanks!
-
Ooh, ye, I heard that there was a warning for that. I'm going to try it out soon (already downloaded it)... knowing Mogeko, they've got a great story/a screwed-up twist prepared for us players. Ah, 'kay, thanks Marked! I've never really used the Cafe before, so I'll look carefully at all the subcategories next time!

Alice Mare sounds interesting! I might check that out, then. Finished Sandman, btw... that turned out to be a really adorable game. Not much like I expected it to be, with The Crooked Man and all, but I still enjoyed it a lot uwu

eventing this too-complicated elevator system is killing me

I found this one a while ago: http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/6392-zeus-video-player/ But I moved away from the idea of using videos in my RMXP project because of the cons that came with it... I think I was worried about mainly playback issues, how it would run on other computers compared to mine, etc. Your choice whether to use it, though.

Yep yep, played The Witch's House, Misao, Mad Father, Ib... I think I played a couple more, but I can't remember. :P Ye, I'm playing Sandman right now and it just got cuter ;w; Of those, I think I liked The Witch's House the most. ;)

All righty, that's okay ;D Let us know if you need someone to brainstorm with again!

All praise be to Lord Prosciutto ;> That normal end screenshot though. I assumed it tastes like ham, since it's basically just uncooked ham. Hm, maybe story. Screwed up would be fine. Recently I played The Sandman, which had a pretty good story. I could go for something like that. (Still waiting on Uri to make The Boogey Man, or whichever the third game will be. :D)

I just finished playing another Mogeko game, and wow. I felt like I had to talk about these somewhere, or at least share them. These are RPG games, originally made in RM2000 by Deep Sea Prisoner/Mogeko. They were translated from Japanese by vgperson, I believe? One I've played is The Gray Garden. Angels vs devils, but a very interesting plot and buildup... it's all cute at first, and then it gets screwed up in the second half. Not so bad, it still retains its adorable qualities. But anywho, the one that made me want to post here. I just played Mogeko Castle. The first thing I want to say about this game is that it is screwed up. After finishing a ton of bad ends and the normal end, I think the entire thing was just to mess with my head. But now, in a strange way, I like it. More like like how screwed up it is, jfc. I don't know how I completed the entire game in one night. It's like Corpse Party, bloody and gory and horrifying, but in the end it twists your mind too and you get used to it. I do plan to play Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea, which I heard is the most popular Mogeko game. If anyone's played these games before, do leave me your opinions uwu but otherwise I'd like some game reccomendations! I've been playing mediocre fangames lately and do believe I need a proper horror RPG pick-me-up. Like The Crooked Man, Ib... damn I miss those games. They bring on nostalgia :D

If I could borrow Germany's Steam, I'd be all for it if you still need anyone ;D

I've been around the forums a couple years back, and if you haven't banned Saltome, then it's pretty difficult to ban someone ;) (jk if you're reading this Saltome)

Hey David, I didn't know you had a game going with Germany :D I've been working closely with him on our own game, and we're good friends. After his concert last month, he was pretty tired and got really sick for a long while. He's been around the forums here and there, but he's still physically and emotionally exhausted, not to mention with all the work he's been getting in school. It's one of those things, but from what I hear he's finally starting to be active online again and will probably get back on GDU soon. :) I expect he'll probably get in contact with you in the next couple of weeks.

Mobile game market survey (for research project)
Kitsuki replied to drago2308's topic in General Game Development
Answered the survey! I don't know if I was too late to do it, but I don't think I had very much to say XD I'm not exactly good at game dev, only reason I scrape by is because of RPG Maker. Bless these user-friendly engines. Someday I'll do something useful and learn programming :P -
I voted yes, this looks really interesting. I'm going to try to pick up Javascript during the summer, now that I have an incentive to learn it. I was never really sure what I would use JS for before, so I always shyed away from it. :P Now looks like I can actually use it for something!

Plenty of youtube videos just for that. I know that on Twitch.tv there are quite a few people doing that sort of thing as well... I think a quick search will help you find it, as I haven't been on Twitch for forever and wouldn't know which person is doing it. :P
-
Golden words, Mage. In any case, it should be finished and given your best efforts. A little bit of effort goes a long way, I have played fangames and original games that don't even so much consider a proper spellcheck. (Please, for the sake of humanity, make your game's text readable.)

But didn't she already set the variable to exactly four at the beginning? O.o So it should work, right? Or is that something else... D:

A simple face, eh? I could probably manage that-- ... I jest, I jest. Here's the actual bad sketch: The only thing I can do is super bad anime style, but that's probably not what you're looking for XD ... I feel like I made him look like a confident bamf when he actual looks like one of those serious kickass characters that don't even twitch an eye at an explosion. lol I did pretty damn good not being able to see his face close up though, imo.

Exams are done for now, after Chinese New Year I finally got some time to sit down with my tablet uwu I'm only working on a basic design, but the way I'm making it I want you to let me know if it's okay. Ignore the grey space, that's the area around the actual canvas.... also ignore the line below his eyes, I had to mark where they would be. Tell me if you don't want the arms there, or if you want his outline to be fully visible! Like showing his whole body and the sides + a little room extra. I filled up the space with his body in this one. All in all anything you don't like goes away. I'll be showing you each expression's sketch in case you want to change anything, as well, before I do any finalising. :> Germany will be colouring it.

All righty, thanks, Pol ;) Also using some of Leon's tutorials, and they're pretty great as well. I was looking at Dubleax's tutorials earlier, but I think Leon's structured it in a way that's easier for my brain to handle. Pft. tbh I've been making small edits for a while, but doesn't seem to be helping me in structuring any scripts of my own. Maybe I should be making larger ones and taking more time to understand it. :P
