  1. I haven't seen that before, and it is a good source of information for developers to use
  2. not without learning the GUI conversions, but if you can work a GUI in C++ it would help immensely
  3. Congrats Nisage ^_^ .... I wonder why I didnt get an award like that..... mebby its because for the first four months I was a dl troll :P
  4. You might want to look at VisualBasic.NET then ;) most of the other languages like C++ and Java originated at the command line, where there was no method of placing an image in a program. Even in modern days you have to use something that has a GUI to load an image easily myImage.image = "data/pic/myimage.png" 'Thats how easily its done in Visual Basic.... almost
  5. nowhere near the same as the project style RMVXP is using: it does not use any existing editor sequences and on top of that; we will be transitioning this to a 100% pure VB.net project (Formlesstree found an engine written in .NET and we managed to get it to run with VisualBasic :D ), and another note, this will be able to manage up to 256 layers:) This also doesnt even touch the RMVX/RMXP datafiles, and it comes in its own little box Editor Files for RMVXP: (insertnamehere).vxpdata <header containing a 4 letter keyword IE: PCHR is character Data, followed by a 5 character number (up to 99,999 of any given items in the database)> item 1-header (5 digit number of course ;) ect...
  6. THIS PROJECT IS NOT DEAD! and there are updates: this project will now be written in VB.net AND C++; so those who wanted to help out with this project and had VB.net expirence can help me I will be uploading this to sourceforge.net for those who want to download it and help me build it Current developers: Formlesstree4 Blackbound
  7. no new map :( I think my rmxp days might be going out soon due to collage and whatnot... but I might be making an editor or two for rmxp ^_^

  8. for the rating system for games I was thinking C - Child (3-7) E - Everyone (5+) ET - Early Teen (13+) LT - Late Teen (17+) A - Adult only (21+)
  9. @Nisage: WiNE is a Windows Emulator, and is supposed to work with all windows programs, whether its games or not
  10. it does but you have to use a program called WiNE

  13. there is a version of chrome that doesnt send crap to google called SRWare Iron. Iron you can see what Chief is talking about here
  14. Novice is actually a good replacement for the word noob. I think more people would read a topic titled "Novice at RPGmaker XP, can someone help me please?" than "Noob@rmxp.need help now"
  15. If I am new at something, I do call myself "Noob" or "Novice" sometimes. I use it in its context, without really insulting myself. I have no problems when its used correctly. Its when its not used correctly that its annoying for me.
  16. Im on windows... slowly converting to linux... 1 phrase got me to start this "Linux has no viruses in existence" Im just having trouble gettin my wireless usb setup. (so its win until my wireless works on lin)
  17. RG, that sig you made for me is AWESOME =3
  18. KAKASHI errr KIRIASHI! yays your back... now get on msn so I can tell you about some updates =3
  19. I dissagree with you Wyz. I actually see a variety of techniques used. I can even tell that he might have used more than one image program. I am pretty sure a couple of the sigs look similar but its not that repetitive. As for Sig requests: I want something similar to this mixed with with purple for the color.
  20. Whats your preferred Operating System Platform?
  21. Opra: Dunno never tried Firefox: good... but doesn't catch every popup- the add on "NoScript" has many uses here for blocking bad popups IE: What pol said Chrome/Iron: possibly the most well built browser I have ever used Netscape: IE... for mac... last I checked (9 years ago)- offically no longer used March, 08 Safari: Never used
  22. flip the brace at the end of the file the last one is {, it should be }
  23. $data_items[ID,ID,ID,ID,ID].price = $game_variables[ID,ID,ID,ID,ID] purely a guess...
