You read that topic right man! I'm making a freaking Jeopardy Engine! This thing is gonna be so awesome, you're gonna feel like you're actually playing Jeopardy!!! Or not, but the thrill is still there, right....? Well if you haven't hit back already, cool. I'm not kidding actually, I'm really releasing a program that simulates Jeopardy using a few forms. The program itself will draw questions and the answers from several XML files. So far, I've been developing the Engine (if you can really call it an engine) for about...2 days from this post date. So far, the program itself is laid out and 'can' receive data. I'm still debugging it, but I may have a small beta working by the end of next week. It depends on how much I get done. Good news about it is: I will be releasing the source code of the engine. Just no crazy builds going on, it's so you guys can see how I did some things. The source code may be commented heavily, it may not be. It just depends on how much time I have and if I'm not feeling lazy. Either way, just letting you guys know about it, and this really isn't an Engine, more of a plug and play style game..but could still provide amusement. :) Thank you for reading...now for some pictures! Pictures! Main Form Data Editor That's all for now, check back for more information.

PFFT I don't have a fancy Wii. I'm old school on a N64 playing the original Super Smash Bros! Level 9's, 3v1. Epic. The AI is so funny sometimes, yet such a pain. I put bombs down, turn on reflector. They just chuck it at me and boom, reflection and death. SSB on the N64 is where it's at.

Interesting way to put that Enigma.. -
:3 thanks guys..I'm really glad you enjoyed it...I can't seem to write something else like it.

WiNE's goal is to do that but as of right now it doesn't.

The Right Choice: Existant or Non-Existant
formlesstree4 replied to EmilyAnnCoons's topic in Debate and Mature Discussion
If you think about it, there is no real right choice in the world. The 'Right Choice' is only for the current time, but will that choice hold in the future? As shown, you may have walked away from that mugging scene, but what if the mugger went on a spree and killed several people when you could have stopped him? The definition of a right choice can never really be found, because nobody can do this. It may be right for the current situation, but what about the future? The butterfly effect describes this perfectly, where you can do one of two things and either way, you'll greatly alter the future. -
RPG Maker Game Rating Group
formlesstree4 replied to EmilyAnnCoons's topic in Feedback, Bug Report and Forum Help
I wasn't getting into a Graphic's Battle. I know I'd lose, and rather fast :P. I was just suggesting we stray away from the whole ESRB style and make our own like the one you did post. @Emily: Where was the double post..? EDIT: Either way, if I could, I'd like to be on the RMRB board...it'll be fun rating games :P -

Well, that looks a little too similar to ESRB's...why not something like this: -
Good God. This is why our Government is going down the drain. Exactly this. They think they own everything. I've got news for you, this isn't going to work. Invasion of Privacy, no matter how legal, will not be tolerated if the public knew about this. Unfortunately, nobody knows because nobody reads the freaking Privacy Statements! What Privacy? Oh right, the privacy you just threw out the window =/

NTLDR stands for NT Loader. It's the Bootloader that runs Windows. As for tools and stuff, there's a topic here that lists some free tools for Antivirus and Anti-Spyware, even some good web browsers as well. Sorry your PC lied to you, but they tend to do that quite often.

Explain to your teacher what happened...maybe he/she will understand. I hope you have a CD because if you don't you'll need to send it to someone to get repaired. I would look in the Yellow Pages for a good PC repair man.

He is going to need a Windows XP CD. From what I see, his PC is basically gone. Whatever virus he has, it has destroyed his Windows Directory. The stability of the system has dropped to probably less than 10%. I don't say 0% because he can still get to the XP Logo Screen. I have an XP CD with a legitimate VLK key. I can give the CD but not the Key because M$ will find out and basically screw me. I can't really help you Nisage unless I was there in person unfortunately, but I can give advice if you need it.

What Joey said. It could be Sasser or Stinger, since they both like to restart you....but we'll see. You always have the ability to save the HDD (unless its physically damaged). You just need another HDD...I do it all the time. But I have like..3 PC's and 5 HDD's lol.

It's because they know you're better due to their inferior intellect! In all actuality I think it's just how the game was coded. Take out the human cause he can learn from his mistakes while they (the AI) cannot.

Meh, it is an old story now.
-
Ohh yeah??? Well uh...umm.....ugh..gimme a few........ BOOYAH!! lol, It's crap, done in 2 seconds on MSPAINT. Good drawings...I'll whip out my animation skillz in a few and baffle you guys :P

[XP]Tutorial: 2 Start Menu Tweaks

You need to be careful with the Regedit one. Manipulating the registry can be dangerous to your computer. -
Lists are the easiest thing you can use to store data. Examples of this are like storing survey results, keeping a record of a log file, or just adding random crap to it. The point is, they're very flexible and have no practical limit, except the limitations of your hardware. Generally, the highest number in a list is actually around 5 billion, and I'm not joking. It's either 5 billion or 500 million, I cannot remember the exact amount. Anyway, the point is, all lists are pretty good and easy to use. In Lesson 2-1, I will show you how to use a list, add the items, and how to display them. HOMEWORK: Do some research on Lists, see what you can find out.

@Marked: Visual basic is designed to be very flexible. Scrive is developed using VB.net which as you all know goes out to an online database. @Enigma: My point is, will this be a good idea? To do what you're wanting to do, The programmers (aka me for now) would literally have to tell the program where exactly to draw everything. I don't know about you, but I just want one function, not ten to figure out what's what. I'm not saying this is impossible, I'm just letting you know that the programming requirements can be kind of messy. Also, you want this thing online..?? That is rather interesting, but I suppose it can be done since we could have a growing database of entries....It's all up to you. Offline would be easier for people who don't have a constant online connection
