You don't need a script to jump - just a switch, a common event and a single event. Here is a quick demo I made up. Press 'Z' to jump. http://www.2shared.com/file/10481015/e77c2997/Jumping_Events.html Enjoy. Also, if you find this useful, please click the Rep+ button at the bottom of this post. Hope this helps. ~Tomo2000.

It's OK, UrHappyPlz. Lol, I still remember you :D . Also, I can't wait to see some of your mango pics soon. I have this giant 700-page book on manga I havn't read in 4 years. Hey, I know what I'm going now :D . After I watch ENDGAME if Star Trek Voyager. Anyway, welcome back, hope your new laptop works fine and school doesnt such as much as usual :D . Have a nice day/night/endless night if you live in Antarctica.

The links are in my userbars :D just click on Alone and/or Best Friends Forever [Remake].
-
Well, I have found that my 2 latest projects, Alone and Best Friends Forever Remake, have broken links. It seems that my older ones, however, are fine. Perhaps it is just the newer topics?

... Stupid Writer's Block. I would definately post an idea for a story if I could think of one.

Question 1: Yes, there is a script. It's Ccoa's UMS. It should be here on the forum, just lemme find it for you. Edit: I have good news and bad news. Then some more good news. 1st lot of good news is that I found where on the site Ccoa's UMS is. Bad news is that the link is broken. More good news is that I have it already downloaded and will re-upload it to 2shared.com for you. Here is the download link: http://www.2shared.com/file/10422110/ced10060/UMS.html Hope that helps. Question 2: Yes, games like Harvest Moon have been made. I got one that someone made, can't remember where I got it, and it is quite impressive. Mostly eventing and hardly any scripts, though. Question 4: I made a car shop in my game, Hope Afloat. You can buy cars but you don't drive them. Driving would be a pretty easy engine. I could make one for you but it will have to wait until tomorrow as I need to get some sleep soon.

Sounds awesome, man. But just scrolling through page after page of events won't make you a eventing god, it might teach you a bit. But then memorizing it is another thing; memorizing somebody elses system. For a trully unique game you would need your own systems, but this would be a huge leap in the right direction and, also, get rid of quite a lot of common questions on forums about such things. You know what, due to this writers block I havn't been able to work on any of my projects due to the lack of ability to continue on the storyline. If you want eventing systems of any sort from beginners to master. Also, use a lot of commenting to explain in detail how the event works. You should sort the maps in sections. For example; have a main map called 'Beginner', for example, then have maps in that like 'Eventing 1 - Whatever", etc.. So it would look like this: -Beginner --Map001 --Map002 etc.. Just remember to name the maps accordingly :D . Hope I was of some help and can help with your project. Hope to hear from you soon.

I like them, especially the 2nd and 3rd one. You could make some pretty cool title screens with those text effects.

Until you get Writer's Block, which is like you bike falling apart and waiting god-knows-how-long to get it fixed and ready to ride again.
-
Lol, Overlord. I got writer's block too. Also, I can't believe nobody has posted a responce here apart from you! What are these people thinking? OverlordMao and Dyte's Curse are awesome!!!
-
Very nice. I use something like this for Alone. +Rep.
-
I plan the first few things, then some things here and there that are important to the storyline, then everything else along the way. Sometimes I have friends such as FormlessTree, Polraudio and Leon to help with some ideas, too.

I believe this calls for a double-post! 2010 for me! Woo! Like, 30 seconds ago! Happy new year, everyone!!!
-
Happy new years everyone! News year eve, for me, is in a meer 2 and a half hours. Anyway, since new years resolutions usually last the whole year, a have 2; Get over this writer's block and finish Hope Afloat by 2011.

Lol. Nice job. I got 700 a few days ago. 701 now. Arn't posting too much due to the fact that I got Writer's Block and, I gotta tell you, its so god-damned annoying.
-
I voted. Good luck everyone - you are all worthy of winning.
-
After another half a month I can now say that Chapter 12 - Alternative Energy is now available. Also, this is my 700th post :D . Enjoy.
-
This is the most difficult decision yet... I saw this topic yesterday but still havn't voted due to the fact I don't know who to vote for... Wait, I know now :D .
-
Damn, chief, this looks awesome. I voted for you straight away. Good luck with winning :) . As soon as there is a download link (or at least one I can find :D ) I'll download it. Keep up the good work.
-
I suggest starting at the very beginning of the outbreak and, each chapter, skip ahead a few months. I say months because in a year too much would happen unless you had a very large chapter. Thats my opinion, anyway.

Go Leon! Say "no" to not being able to say Merry Christmas :D !!!
-
Ok. Let me rephrase what I said; Merry Christmas yesterday for my Australian friends, Merry Christmas for today for my non-australian friends, Merry Christmas today for my Australian friends who don't live in Australia, Merry Christmas yesterday for my non-Australian friends who like in Australia. Is that better :D ?
-
Although my Christmas was yesterday, Merry Christmas to all my non-Australian friends :D . Also, Marked, I got my machete :) .
-
Looks like I got here in the nick of time :) . Speaking of nick, merry christmas everyone. Anyway, Overlord, mediafire doesn't like RMXP and, I believe VX also, .exe files. Not sure why but I know from personal experience. You best hope is to upload the .exe file at www.2shared.com, because I know, also from personal experience, that it works with .exes and they can be properly extracted.
