  1. I'm not sure how it should go, because there would be problems I assume, with free healthcare. As for "Obama Care" I was for it before I read the bill, which has been removed off the official government site, that had some rather sexist requirements and rules, but that's not the worse part. The tax or whatever it is, is the worse part. 500$ penalty and it increases as you miss payments? Poor families can barely pay car insurance or house bills. How will they pay that tax? Its absurd.
  2. I'm not angry at you.... I'm not sure why you feel the need to leave, but alright, goodbye! I hope you return! :D
  3. Welcome back to the forums, Lizzie S (Leon). :)
  4. Wow, that is amazing! You have a superb talent! Do you have a deviantart? I would love to keep an eye out for new work!
  5. Its been down for a couple of days, since the 9th or 10th, I think. Its probably just a server error, and they trying to fix it. its happened with HBGames before.
  6. @ the bolded: I had not considered that. Well, then I must say I'm mixed on my views about this now.... @the underlined: Poor animals. :(
  7. Unless real rape occured in the porn, then no, it shouldn't be. Its just like all the other themes the porn industry has and uses. So unless it actually harms someone (e.i, not consented sex), then no. I dislike Romney, by the way. I tried to really see his views and try not hate them so much, but he comes off as a sexist, racist (any more), and a war-mongering bigot.
  8. Amazing script! Thanks for making and sharing it with us, bigace! Can't wait to implement it in Black Moon. ;)
  9. Awesome! Awesome! Thank you for sharing this with us! You have some nice music in there! Haven't listened to them all yet. xD +1rep!
  10. I agree with Lucas; The VAIO is better. I'm just learning about this kind of stuff, but from what I've learned, its better because it has a better performance spec, according to what is listed. For the VAIO, the Intel® Core™ i5-2450M Processor 2.50 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.10 GHz" is very good because "i5" is the newest version (second gen, and that's good!), while the other is a AMD A6-4400M dual core. I've been told dual cores are bad in most cases, especially for gamers and graphic users. The VAIO also has DDR3, which is the newest line of video memory. Tomshardware even says the graphics card (AMD Radeon™ HD 7650M) is simply amazing, and I would trust that site--they are very good and helpful. The only thing the VAIO lacks that the Satellite has is the amazing about of harddrive space and RAM capabilities. 750 is an impressive amount, but to be honest, its not worth buying this one over the VAIO for that reason. I have three books with 965 GB space and I have only ever taken up 200-300 on all of them, and my household saves LOTS of stuff; graphics, notes, ebooks and we even install games and programs on them. I would say the VAIO in all. It has amazing specs. Wow, really? I didn't know there was a speed difference between them! Very cool. I only noticed that 32bit systems seem to run smoother than 64s.
  11. This looks amazing. I never played the official games, but it looks very fun! I'll try to sit down and test it out! :D
  12. ARG! I Had a full reply to help you with! But it crashed, my internet that is. Hold on please, I got it to work. I will edit this post with a tut on how to get it to work. EDIT: Okay, the process may seem long and hard, but its not. I have spent all day trying to get it to work in 11.10, but it does not. You must update to the newest Ubuntu. This is a screen shot showing I got it to work: To update to the newest version, there are many options; 1) there is searching up “Update Manager” by clicking this: and then clicking the “Upgrade now” button, or you can click this: Now we need to upgrade the WINE application. If you haven't upgraded to the newest Ubuntu, do it now, restart and continue. Open up the Terminal Window (you can search for it in the search bar mentioned earlier) or you can try this shortcut prompt: CRTL + ALT + T Now, type the following sudo commands. All of them must be separate! $ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa $ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install wine Once you installed that, we need DirectX; something VERY important to RPG maker games. It is a Windows based native, but it can be run through WINE. But first, we need the latest Winetricks. Open the terminal window again and type the following all as separate sudo commands: $ wget http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks $ chmod +x winetricks $ sh winetricks This should bring up the winetricks program. It looks like this: Check “Select the default wineprefix” if it isn't already, and then hit okay. Now check the first option, which is “Install a Windows DLL or component” and hit okay once again. Another window should pop up with hundreds of options. Search for the following and check them: d3x10 d3x11_42 d3x11_43 d3dx9 d3dx9_26 d3dx9_28 d3dx9_31 d3dx9_35 d3dx9_36 d3dx9_39 d3dx9_42 d3dx9_43 d3dxof devenum dinput dinput8 directmusic direcplay directx9 dmsynth dsound dxdiag dxdiagn l3codecx quartz Plus, the following: dotnet20 (MS .NET 2.0); You NEED this file for this to work! And make sure you have “gdiplus” checked as well. And then hit OK and it will install them all. If you get any errors installing the DirectX, please take pictures of them and provide them, as well as tell me exactly what you did, because this should work. Now we need to install TiMidity; a MIDI solving thingy-ma-bob. Open the terminal window again and type: $ sudo apt-get install timidity And then let it install. You might have to say “yes/y” to continue and you might have to agree to let it install extra stuff. Say yes. Reboot the computer just to be safe. When you get back into Ubuntu, its time to start the most important process, I think. Installing all of the RPG Makers. That's right, all of them. You can just use trials though, that's what I did. First, download RPG VX (Not ACE) and RPG XP and drag them to the desktop. Time to drag ACE to the desktop as well, JUST THE INSTALLERS THOUGH. You might have to extract them. Put them all in folders separately called “RPGVX Setup” and so on. Now we need to go to Program files and create a folder called RPG Maker, or put this folder in Common Files, if you are dual booting like me. This will make sure it won't erase the Windows install of the makers. So for example, this is what mine looked like: Which is “500GB\programfiles\commonfiles\RPG Maker\. This is important, okay? All of the files must go in the same folder, or this won't work. First, we need to install VX, not ACE, so you need to go to Uninstall WINE Software. This won't effect WINE, but its actually the panel to install things through it. You should see this: You see the red boxed thing? That's how you install new things; we'll need to click that. But first, take a look at the stuff I boxed in blue. This is how it should look after you are done with everything. Ignore “MSVCRT Redists” though; but if you want, you can install it just in case. Now back to the red; click the “INSTALL” button and navigate to your desktop. Here, open up the folder that has the install files for RPGVX, not ACE, and install the ACTUAL MAKER before the RTP. For example, this is what it looks like for me, e.i, where I installed: All inside of RPG Maker folder. So, set up the RPGVX program, NOT THE RTP, to this folder first. Install it and then open up the Uninstall WINE software again, this time we select VX's RTP. We'll install it in the same folder, so do it. If it says “This folder already exists, would you like to install inside this folder anyway?” click yes; do no worry about it. After the RTP is installed, we need to install the trial of XP. Actually, I just realized I couldn't install XP, or at least it doesn't show up. Just in case, we'll still include it. Do the same steps as above in the same folder. Though, if it asks to erase VX stuff, say no and I guess skip the XP step. Now that we are passed that, we need to install ACE! Boo-ya! Open up “Uninstall WINE software” again if you closed it and click the Install button again. This time navigate to the ACE set up folder on the desktop and install the GAME first, not the RTP. Put it in the same folder as VX. It shouldn't ask you to merge or replace the normal VX, if so, stop. Something went wrong. If not, continue. Now do the same for the RTP; it might say “This folder already exists, would you like to install inside this folder anyway?” again, if so, say yes. If all goes well, BAM, you have ACE installed. To run the game, you should have a desktop shortcut. If that doesn't work for you (give it about a minute to load), go to the install folder and execute the exe of ACE install by right click and running with WINE LOADER. There you go. It works.
  13. 12.04 LTS is the newest, I believe. But let's try with 11.10. Get the latest WINE here (not the beta for now, test the one listed first, which is "1.4") and install it, unless you have 1.4 already (if you don't have the latest version, which?), and then install RPG Game Maker through it. I'll try and test it out myself for you. Hopefully it won't screw up my Windows 7 file (SATA cable problem on my end).
  14. If you are running the newest version of Linux and it still doesn't work, try WINE. See this: http://ubuntuforums....d.php?t=1856054
  15. That looks amazing! I've never seen an engine do that before, well, I mean I have, but I meant I haven't seen anyone use something like that on RMing coommunties. What is it? Source SDK? Also, is this just a tester you are doing, or is it a game we can see? :33
  16. Oh man, the teases! The teases! T.T I love the headers! They look so professional, and awesome! Like it really belongs on a gaming/game making forum! Well, whenever we can go to the new version of the site, I will be happy! I'll keep an eye out!
  17. Thanks Tomo! So its been a while since I've sprited because I stopped to work on my game, and then stopped for studies. But I've picking it back up and trying to finish her. Unfortunately, my time away left me extremely rusted, so I'll be posting my WIPs again, to get back in the mood. So I'm making her back side now, because the front is completed, and this is what I have. I'm not very happy with it, but comparing it to the old one here, it looks SO much better I think. But even if it looks better than the other, its still ughy in my eyes. I just needed a base to compare, so here it is. I'm using the same colors, but something seems really, really off to me, especially the part where it actually meets the braid. Ugh! Critiques, suggestions--anything--is welcomed! EDIT: I'm so embarassed! I didn't realize the head above was HUGE compared to the body. See how rusty I am? Its like I'm learning all overagain! Anyways, here's the newest update. Small View Big View I'm not too happy with it. I'll keep remaking it until I can get out of my funk! Suggestions? Critiques? Anything? Post em please.
  18. Well, may you look into local news for the accident for us, Bob? :(
  19. If the glasses thing is something related to "controllerless gameplay", I doubt Sony wants any of that. They want to remain a "video game system", otherwise why not just go outside and play? If the glasses actually are about 3D features and whatnot, Sony has implemented this feature. They have sold the glasses, the TVs and the equipment for it for a while now, I do believe. :)
  20. Ahaha, that is true. If you want to see something that makes you think of "real life", then it is probably best to go for a PC. And for the price of the systems, controllers, games etc etc you could get a pretty amazing gaming PC, one that can play Skyrim as "DOPE LEVEL". I think they are afraid that if they let the Wii get ahead of them again, they will never be able to surpass them. Maybe they think that if the Wii decides to go—and it did—serious gamer style, it would be leading in that department for years and years to come—and that's exactly what happened in the past. lol
  21. If I am not mistaken by that site, it will only teach you vocabulary and definitions. Your grammar is also superb. *unless it helps with that too?* Well, even if it does, it doesn't change the fact that you are speaking it and learning it very well! :)
  22. Yes, the Xbox and PS3 have at least 4-5 more years out of it. They are still learning the full capabilities of their systems. It is foolish to waste money now on a system that isn't even needed or wanted. As for the Wii, I agree. The Wii, current, serves a good purpose for "fun" party games, but its about time Wii returns to its serious tone as well. The Gamecube, N64 and SNES/NES led the way for both fun and serious. I'm looking forward to this system. Plus, its wicked you can use your old system hook ups, even controllers. Or so I heard. xD
  23. I very much like the songs. I can't say what it reminds me of, but it is something I like! By the way, superb English! :0
  24. Yes, Xbox should definitly work on it. Out of all the systems ever created, the Xbox is the easiest to break—by accident or on purpose. The N64 and old Xbox were among the toughest systems I have ever seen. Sledgehammers, very bad falls, drinks, kicks and more. Why my brother use to lay his feet on the old Xbox while he played, and it never broke. We ended up selling it and we played it everyday. They need to do whatever they did then, now. Who cares if the design isn't "slim". If its huge, oh well. Its a system, not a handheld afterall. xD P.S Like you avvy and your Soft Blue Studios logo. Very neat! :D
