Making an event that stores a variable from 1-6 is pretty simple. But showing it graphically on screen? Hmm that could be a bit more tricky. You would need at the least all 6 die frames and then a spinning animation too. Oh wait, you could it via the animation system. If you get the images I'm sure we could make it for you.

It did actually. I made two announcements on the homepage about it. As for paypal, I think I found a way around it. In NZ we can get these things called prezzy cards which ur supposed to give someone to buy something online, or something like that. They cost $5, and then you put whatever amount of money on them. I started my paypal account with one of those. :) Hopefully there's something like that around in the US...

Well recent murder cases here in NZ have sentenced the murder to really low sentences in prison. I'd have to look at some cases to get the exact amount of time coz I cant remember off the top of my head. But compared to the US its extremely low. EDIT: This is odd. I looked up murder in NZ in our Crimes Act and it says: That so doesn't happen... I'm going to ask my lecturer about this lol (I'm studying criminal law this year). Its called statutory rape, where they are under the legal sex age. For example, my friend (female), 14, had sex with someone who was like 18. It was consential, but the mother of the girl wanted to press charges for statutory rape. He went away for 1 year. In NZ I think thats high, especially considering our disgracefully low murder penalties. I met the mother, they should lock her up too. Yeah I agree its stupid. But not all cases are like that, sadly. Worse, some girls take advantage to get attention... its sick. I know a girl who did that. I don't think sex is wrong morally with a female who is developed, but that may happen late for some girls, so a legal sex age is required. In my opinion. Oh, also important to stop pregnancies, they need to be educated about that stuff.

When I used to be into RPG Making, and played peoples RMXP games, I always found the beginnings to be a bit boring, slow and inbalanced (in the sense that you're too weak or too strong). And sometimes thrown out into a world and the game only starts once you go and spend ages looking for the right even to tell you what to do. A good needs to draw you in and hold your attention. A good game will have a very good beginning, and will keep you there even when it starts to get a little boring. As for scripts, I use what I think should have been there in the first place: Dube's AMS, pixelmovement, autoscroll etc. My favourite battle system is RMXP's default (oooh flame me). And finally as for the story, well I'm not too fussy in that department.

I think you need to save it as a PNG because JPG's decrease the quality and cause pixelation. You really should have been more specific before people go out of their way for you. Sprite requests are probably the rarest to be fulfilled. Ah I think I get it. I did assume this topic was about whether you're left/right handed, and, I'm more logical I think. I think that you're experiment is too flawed to produce any reliable results. I mean no offense of course, but if you asked a person "Are you a Righty or a Lefty?", nearly everyone would reply with their dominant hand. I would say that there is no such assumption, because that question is widely known to be associated with your dominant hand.

Sure I'll help you but im not entirely sure what you want me to do. I can setup a joomla site for you, though I'll need to access a hosting account or FTP or something. I am also quite familiar with invisionfree.

Never used cloudaccess, your best bet is to contact them. For the looks of it though it should have joomla pre-installed, but who knows.

Haha. Ok awesome. I've been using joomla for 3 years now, so I'm sure I can help you out. Joomla1.6 is real new though, but I've had a look at it and it seems very similar. Especially in terms of the UI.

Thanks :) If more members said that I would probably make a lot more stuff. This one certainly has potential, but its going to be really challenging getting the javascript to function properly. If it was all PHP I'd have it done by now :P I'm not saying yet that this will published for public use, but since my uni is closed for a few weeks, we'll just see how it turns out :)

If you need help with something specific, I'm sure we'll be able to help you out. In terms of learning to write html websites, then you can use tutorials, but they only go far. I only use tutorials as reference. What I'd recommend you do is build your website and learn HTML as you can, as opposed to learn HTML and THEN attempt the website. If that makes sense. Alternatively I'd recommend a nice simple CMS in which case you don't necessarily have to learn HTML, CSS or PHP, but still have the opportunity to when you want to extend it. For example, you could use Joomla, which is what we use for our website. The project card in your signature was made from writing a component within joomla.

Thanks for your offer :) If you're just starting out, then I'm probably better at the moment, although I'll reach the level I'll need to get my stuff done. And what I learn is very specific. I don't mind showing you the code though. In fact so far I havent much of my own javascript code, I'm using jQuery and jQueryUI. I wonder if someone who sees this can solve my current problem. To be honest, last night I just gave up and did something else coz I couldn't figure this out. There is clearly a need to extend the height of your tileset. However when I play a tile at the top, and make it bigger by 1 line (32px), then the tile at the top will also move down by 32px. There is highly impractical because you need to add tiles to the bottom of the tileset, not to the top. This may seem like a minor issue, but when tiles are placed their coordinates are recorded. If the tileset adds from the top and pushes tiles down, those coordinates are inaccurate. It needs to extend from the bottom. I haven't really done much with it (so no need to complain how bad it looks/works atm :P ), but I coverted it to a proper joomla/mvc component. And uses ajax, and you'll notice when some numbers jump out.

No one is saying that RMVX cannot make good games. Actually my original post is not really related to most of this discussion, but that was only natural. My main point really is that RMXP is easy, and RMVX's features that make it easier than XP are unnecessary and may have consequently caused negative effects. Anyways, I actually emailed enterbrain, about a new RPG Maker. This is what they said (this is as is, they send me this in english): Come to think of it, I didn't actually mention I used RMXP (you'll noticed they thanked me for using it), but I did link them to this topic...
