Actually Franklin that's no longer necessary. I was waiting to upgrade before I tried altering the Lastest Posts hook. I've altered the links so they don't attempt to use friendly URLs, so there will be no more 404s.

Ah ok.. I was aware of the banner disappearing issue immediately after the upgrade. It is certainly the database error that causes it because it's always down there when that happens. The reason it screws up the style of the whole index is strange. I'll just try to fix the database error that's happening, and if I can, the conflict or whatever is causing the styles to screw up. I'll post on progress on this issue. If there are any others, post 'em here :)
