I loved the spyro games as a kid :D When you think about it, games are like interactive movies, just not really. They both have storylines. I don't know why, perhaps because brother is an extreme case of this, it bugs me when people completely dismiss a movie because of its rep, where its from(a game, or an anime). Its just annoying, lets judge the thing after we watch it. Elijah wood seems like a good choice for spyro though.

Thanks guys ^_^ I'm a bit surprised to hear that since I haven't been posting in the community much lately. The time i have to spend on RMXPU is, to Fraklins delight, upgrades and features :) All coded by me, which is the problem, but at least we are unique. To be honest, I'm on a mission. My projects are all very complicated and time consuming, but one of my goals is user-experience. Also user generated content, but you know, not in the e-cliche kinda way. I haven't even got started on the cool features yet...

I don't get the joke, so what if you live in america? Changing the position of the logo is going to be difficult. I can easily do it, but for the user determining the desired coordinates is a whole lot of guess work. I'll tell you what, I'll make a topic for the next version where people can request features. @Crimson & Franklin: Sorry it took so long for me to reply. I've been so busy with school and caught up in my projects, im only reply now because i couldnt sleep... :( I was hoping you guys would discuss and come up with what themes you wanted to include. Since you didn't I just went ahead and added Franklins and 2 of CrimsonInfernos megaman themes. Crimson, if you want to change megaman themes, just PM me or reply here. All other themes are welcome, that goes for everyone else too :)

Hey guys, I had an idea for a member dashboard. Instead of going ahead and designing it myself, I wanted to allow you guys to design it yourself, since its for you. The purpose of the dashboard is to give you an immediate rundown on whats new with your stuff. My original thoughts are to stick it here(obviously not viewable to guests): As you can see i crossed out the details in the login module. I'll probably get rid of them and move the login module to the top-right of the website, and it will only say who you're logged in as. So yeah, lets think outside the box here. What's the first thing you want to see when you jump on the forum? At the moment I'm thinking PMs(list of new PM subjects), replies to your topics, profile comments, blog/image/download comments.

Yes Kiriashi I have been thinking that for a long time. But the point of it is, how the heck are we ever going to grow? With such reasoning, we could only ADD menus on. However, I'm almost certain I have a solution. Rarely I look at the thousands of website extensions that are available, but I have found a brilliant one. I'm testing it rigorously at the moment on the test board. Get this. With this component i change the urls to anything i want. It will also log every 404 stumbled upon by users, and allows me to redirect that 404 link to the new url. This is absolutely brilliant. This way I can completely rearrange our menus, wait a day or two for the 404s to build up, then redirect each link to the new one. Put simply, I will redirect every search engine link to the correct page, we will have awesome urls(only an admin would say such a thing) and our menu will operate universally across rmxpunlimited. :) :) :) :) Originally I was skeptical about my menu idea and was going to use this to confirm it. Since I have tested my hook and the menu works right out of the box. After my testing and confirmation I can weed out any broken links, this is happening :B): Then I can work on my super secret project. Its going to be...amazing.

Hey Everyone, Yesterday I just completed something I've been working on bit by bit over the past week. It is an IPB(forum) hook which completely rebuilds the menu system from the website, one of the most complicated things I have attempted so far. Here is little preview for those who don't understand. This preview is from my test board on which is an offline server, and I use default installations of each software, so it doesn't look anything like RMXPUnlimited: The menu works very well, although I am not sure if it is possible to include the same javascripts the website uses(which means no sliding menus). Since the introduction of the website, there has been a clear division between itself and the forum. To navigate the website you have to go to the homepage first and go from there, and vice versa. What this will do it create a centralized navigational system. Wherever you are on RMXPUnlimited.net, you have the menu system right there and can access all our major locations with one click. If the new menu gets the go ahead, there will be a major reshaping of the menu items. At the moment the menu completely reflects website pages(except a few), but if on the forums it will need to have forum locations as well. What this means is that website traffic will be abolished. Because the links can only be generated from menu items. If you change a menu item, you change a link, and that means search engines lead potentially members to 404 pages. This is primary concern. However its not the first time I have wanted to change the links on the website, but last time i was too worried of the consequences. But its an impossible system, the menu items need to changed in order for growth. Abolishing the website traffic is a necessary step and an investment for growth. That's a surprising thing to hear from a web designer.

They each are better than other at different things (well, between the most common 3). I use png most though. Even though a lot of web developers use .jpg to save their images for websites, you can get png filesize way way down, so I use them. And all resources need to be saved in png anyway to keep quality and transparency(though i think transparency is possible for all, even swf files).

Ah, I didn't actually add a japanaese font. I'm not sure but that I think that font may have included some japanese characters. I will add your font to the generator soon. By the way, I think the flash upload for attachments isn't working for you(there is a note in green at the top of the board index about it). You can change back to the default one in your settings. The downtime was not server related. Yeah, just don't worry about it.. :) Not humorous. As part of the administration duties, I have to tell you not to call him a jerk. Just to be fair to all members. Anyway, thats enough about that. Crimson/Rated: We have a little problem. Between you there are 6 megaman themes. The issue is that they are all clearly megaman themed and only members making megaman projects will use them. Can we make a deal? 2 megaman themes each? Crimson: Your yellow theme has been added, and look forward to the next. I will also be converting every theme to jpg files to decrease loading times when browsing themes.

I'll add your themes one I get home tomorrow. I got my first day of uni tomorrow so I dont how active I'm going to be anymore. Probably the same, because I spend all day on campus so I can use that time to study... When I get home tomorrow and back on the comp I'll upload them. @Midnight Assassin: I deleted your post because I don't appreciate being told to get my shit together. Whether you were referring to me or not, the downtime was my fault, and most administration duties are done by me. Some forums may allow you to talk rudely whenever you want, but you're quickly going to learn that this isn't that kind of forum. If you make rude inappropriate posts, they will simply be deleted and thats the end of it. But I hope we'll have no further problems.

Yeah its like when you post, a variable is increased by 1, but when you post in this forum, the variable is unaffected but you get another row in the database. A row for every post. The profile counts the rows, which really is you real post count. But still I'd be going with the one you see in topic view. 271 to go...

Update: New version is complete! New Features: -Automatic Theme Reading(themes are read directly from their directories, not coded into the component) -PNG and GIF support for themes(previously only themes saved as .jpgs could be used) -Font color options(white or black) -Extra font choice -All of themes added from this topic, categorized by your usernames(36 themes so far). In the next version: -Image generation immediately as you fill out the form/alter settings(using ajax) - hopefully. -Compact version (requested by Arkbennett) -Japanese fonts/support (requested by isaacsol) @Agckuu_Coceg: You gave me heaps of themes, so I chose 3 of each color and tried to include every logo you included in them. Note: The more features and options this thing has, the more likely it is to screw up. I did a lot of testing, actually generated over 200 images on my test board. But I'm sure if you try hard enough you make it crack, so I need all errors reported, preferably back in this topic. Also there is one weakness I can't overcome at the moment. The way this picks up themes is by reading directories, and it orders them by however the system stores them. Whatever the heck that means. So I am unable to choose which themes come first. And an important feature of this component is that when you generate your image, all your settings are saved so you can make tweaks. However you chosen them is NOT saved unless the default theme is the first theme displayed. In the case its 2nd, so its only faulty for one theme. I will try to fix this in the next release. Oh, and here's an example of what you can do with this version:

@The Hooded Man: Yes thats a good idea. In fact I considered changing to that domain temporary since the option was available to me. I'm also considering your idea of moving classes there as well. @theme submitters: Every theme you post here will be added, I promise! So many of you are requesting features and I really want to include them in there. The features are such that I'm going to have to rewrite the code a little bit and its going to take some time. I want to get some ajax going so you can see you card being created literally as you type, but I have only just started researching how to do that. I'm also holding off adding in any more themes until I am able to complete idea of automatically picking up themes. That simply means themes are included in the component simply by existing in directories, and so I dont have to manually create form fields for every single theme. Since you guys are being awesome and giving me themes, I'm going to spend a lot of time later tonight and try and release a new version with all these features. Because of Chiefs cool forest theme, I will add the option of font color changes. @isaacsol: I'll try and get japanese fonts too. I need to install asisan fonts on my computer, but my windows xp cd is playing up on me. Although I'm not sure if i need to type using the japanese fonts in order to test a japanese font(if that makes sense). @CrimsonInferno: Those are the RPG Maker VX characters, you see them when you load RPG Maker VX, you know? I got the largest desktop theme they had and cut them out. I'm going to use them in some website themes. I'll give them to you guys if you want them.
