  1. Congratulations on the new baby moonpearl :) Ok I agree with moonpearl, a future contest needs strict parameters. Actually we had a contest recently with 3 very decent entries. This was also not officially advertised so it could have had way more attention. I plan to further develop the games section and use the dashboard as an area of internal advertising.
  2. Back in Malaysia where its winter and a toasty 31 degrees Celsius

WOW id say so. I would want to die at that temp.

  3. In Korea at the mega electronics center. Me, my gf and her sister all impulse-bought galaxy s4's. They were super cheap! :(

  4. There's not many right now, but you can view them on the forum sidebar. I will create a listing in the games section at some point where all published games can be found.
  5. Ok ok none of you have games, that's ok, you don't have to tell me :P There's not too much feedback here apart from Mandanchi's post. So the plan for now is to implement my list of features.
  6. Welcome to RMU! And welcome back to the game making scene. You're starting to make me sound old when you say that you've been using RMXP since '07. I started this website for RMXP back in '06 :P
  7. It's been a week since the Game Section. A few of tried it which was good, only a few of you actually published a game, which could be better. I have made the sign up MUCH more accessible. Now you can create a Game Page on every page of the website: I have also made an additional, more obvious link to the back-end for editing games: Please let me if there's any bugs with these or anything else in the games section. At this stage, I'd like to get feedback on the system and take feature requests. What's missing? What's good and what's bad? Right now the future features I am considering are the following (some of these of definitely going to be in here, but there wasn't enough to add them in yet) Comments, divided into categories All, Feedback/Critque, Bug Report, General User-submitted reviews 10 star rating system Like feature Follow This Game feature News topics that display on your Page (more of a blog)... ok, lets call this a blog In-depth statistics (pageviews, downloads, statistics) Ability to sell games (starting with paypal) Layout variations (eg for the gallery you could chose the current 2 column grid, or a slideshow, etc. So showing the screenies, credits, and char profiles in different ways rather than only just the one way. Ability to post recruitment requests (almost finished) So I really want to know why you're not using the games section if you're not already. Also I'm really keen to get some featured games up for the Games index page. These games will get a lot of attention, so flick me a PM if you're interested :)
  8. Goodbye malaysia, ohai Korea (and REALLY fast internet... and girls generation...).

  10. I need to make it more obvious. Still figuring out how to integrate here, coz I made it so I can easily put it at its own domain if I ever wanted to. The trouble also is integrating into the layout because we have two softwares acting as a single site. I'll figure it out.
  11. I think almost all of the projects are in the same boat. The entire projects forum will eventually become an archive. Apart from that its hard to tell which topics are dead; I'm sure there are several authors who would welcome replies but haven't had any in a long time. So, I think abandoned projects will fall down the list anyway. Eventually, hopefully, the projects section will take over.
  12. Because Moonpeal is smart so I follow him... Actually I haven't worked in any engine since 2009 :'(
  13. That question is answered above with an image in post #9. You can find your games in the main menu: my games. Havent found a better place for it yet
  14. Well you can use it now right? :) The thing is that the original concept I developed turned out a bit unusable, so I spent a fair bit of time creating the back-end editor. So there's so much to do, and at some stage I have to make an analysis on whether it's going to be popular enough to continue developing. But anyway, I haven't had enough time to create a listing. But you can view it here: Newly published games will also go into the latest posts module, as well as any time they're commented on (when I set that up). As for a listing of all member's games, I will also get around to that at some stage. The idea here though is for members to use this to create websites for their games, and just like a website, its up to the creator to market/advertise it. Not so much this website, but that will definitely be apart of it at some stage. I think right now the focus is more on the functionality of the end result, but I know people mainly post their games coz they want to talk about it. That's why some members will prob want to make topics, but that doesn't make too much sense because it will be advertised as much or more than a topic and have all the same discussion features. People are so irrational sometimes. Expect updates after jan 13 ish. Right now I'm holidaying in Asia and 45 days before I get back home (where I'll have even less time).
  15. Goodbye singapore, ohai malaysia.

  16. So you're developing as in coding it? Probably better to do things like installing skins/mods on a live server than on wammp then upload the local to the host. Probably doesn't matter, there's always differences between wammp and shared hosting but shouldn't be an issue, just slightly less convenient. If you got the old DB then it'd be very useful for google to have the ability to index the content you already have.
  17. I really need to add some interative features to the games section. I will do this asap. Which may be a few weeks..

  18. In singapore. its very hot...malls eveeywhere

  19. :) I'm releived to here that. Like anything it needs marketed. People are terried to hit create and don't see it properly. I made a recruitment system Xmas eve but I won't be able to do stuff for a while

Still 10pm on the 24th for me.

  22. Great, glad you like it. Although I get the feeling you've tested it out yet. Because the discussion/interactive component is currently missing, the forums will remain. I have plans to do something a bit different with components. I'm thinking of dividing them up into something like feedback/critique/bugs, help/support, general discussion. Rather than 1 long list of posts. When that is implemented, the current project topics will just become an archive. The main different will be that members can no longer start topics in the forum, coz there's no point. You will get directed then when you first create a game. Otherwise, you'll always be able to access your game from this menu And from the front-end of your game page, hit the admin CP link So it's much more than a downloads page... It's essentially an entire website. It's just within this one (but not if you've got a special account, like Bob's Arcartis II above). I would like people to use the back-end as a place to meet and work on their games; eg their own private internal forum system, chat system, and then task management to top it all of. I also want to make a feature where people can recruit people to join their teams. Eg you add what you're looking for in your back-end and it goes in a global directy for 2 weeks (at which time renewal is required) and people looking to join games can go there and see what's doing. I hope people see the potential because if it doesn't used, I just don't have time to keep making these things.
  23. Of course, why wouldn't you check it out? :P It certainly doesn't go live 'till you want it to. Oops I forgot >.
