Okay here we go this contest is for anyone and everyone that wants to apply. As the topic suggests the goal here is to make the best project that you possible can ( Please no teams it would not be fair). The rules are quick and easy 1. Work on the project by yourself no outside help. You can use other peoples scripts and stuff and you an request scripts and sprites you just cant request anything that would advance your project. Examples of what you ant request aid for is maps, events, and anything that has to do with the database/game itself. Just no gathering the material until the start date. 2. You must propose a title for your project before the contest begin. 3. There will be no cheating and anyone expected of cheating will be kicked from the contest. Examples include working on it before the start date. 4. Judges word is finale to a degree if you feel someone has done scored your project wrong talk to me. 5. Judges must provide examples of why someone got the score they got. This has to be in sentence form with at least two sentences. A simple it was good or bad does not work. 6. Rpg maker xp/vx only. This means that judges are required to have the program or at least the rtp for each. 7. Last and not least have fun with it, this is to help you as a creator to increase your skill and to increase your knowledge. Who's competing so far: Whos judging so far: We need at least 2-3 other judges so you people out there who are good with rpg maker sign up. We also need at least three competitors. Rewards are still in the air so if anyone has an idea please post or send me a message. Lastly the start date begins March 13 12:00AM GMT-5 or United States Eastern time and ends March 20 12:00AM GMT-5 time. I will post the official start of the contest on the date for those of you who don't know for sure. Hf everyone cant wait to see some awesome Projects :clap:

Well with the permission of Marked and some other members I would like to start this as soon as possible for sign ups seeing as how spring break comes up in 9 days so it would be a perfect time to have it.

Here is my take on this like fate said 8 party members is way to many to have fighting on your side at one time. But like you said I hate it when games give you these party members that you don't use. If you want to use them if you like, you can try what I'm doing. My games gonna have like 80 classes with like 60 different characters. Your probably thinking omg how are you going to make so you use lots of them. I have it set up so that at certain times you have to use certain character instead of others also I have big wars in my game where you will choose up to 3 teams of 4 or so before hand to lead into battle. Hope this helps you in some way :P but if I was you I would stick with the normal 4.

Well know with yours that makes the 4th thing I have to back up my files lol. I'm using that script that Mark posted, Skydrive on windows live, sending it to a friend, and know your program I will be cursed if I lose my progress again :P

Bump: Still actively recruiting any: 1. Mappers- To make maps/fix some of mine. 2. Spriter- To make monster character sprites. Any other features like eventing, storyline ideas ect. are open as well but are not as urgent as the others. Thanks for reading :clap:

2. Set an event to player touch. Then set an event command for screen flash and another command for change hp and set it to decrease. 3. You'll need a script for that Ryex's Collapsing CMS will work but if your like me it wont be compatible with your other scripts and its a little complicated to get working especially if you have no scripting experience. 4. Lastly if I was you I would just do a simple event for that with switches and move routes if necessary. Hope this helps. :alright:

Its okay I understand I'm very busy at the time as well its just that I noticed people want points in order for them to do stuff for you and its hard to give them points when I cant get access to the shop :P.

Nvm dang I feel so retarded now lol. For anyone else who may need to know this just put a erase event on the final page of the event where he disappears, set it to parallel process and your good to go.

Well my computers fixed however we still lost 2/3 of our game. Beyond that though there has always been a problem with the parallel process function and getting AI movements just right. During the course of my game there are big battle scenes where you have to face armies and where you will be taking control over multiple parties. Well my problem is if you look at the screen shot below if I leave my character at point x and let the enemies come to me the first guy will make it just fine. I kill him and I have another page on his event to disappear. However the other guy I have marked gets stuck on the square right behind him and cant move that extra space up to battle me. However I can walk through there just fine. If anyone can help I would be greatly appreciative.

You know its kinda of ironic the day this happened to me I was thinking about making a back up data for my game on skydrive. Man life is sucking right now. :(

Na I cant do nothing with it I have ran tests to see whats wrong but they come up empty. I'm going to take it to some techs tommorow if they cant fix it then I will proably no longer be active on here except once a week or so.

No not really I was just way to tired when I read it the 1st time so I mis interpreted what you wanted. Ill see what I can find/do later. Also I have a theory on how you could do it with events but it'd be long and tedious repetitive work.

I need some serious help here. Okay today I went to open my game to look at the contents and all of a sudden I get this error message that says unexpected file format!. If anyone has any ideas how this can be cured I would be very appreciated as long as deleting the file is not a solution. Ive posted a image of the problem and last time I opened the program I saved and exited like normal. Now whenever I try to play test my game I get this error. I have put a lot of work into this game and it has about 15 hours of game play so I really don't wanna lose it.
