  1. Tileset test complete, it works great ^^ Now I just need the battleback so I can release the demo to my game lol
  2. Yeah, I probably would be, but I can't figure IGM (or AGM or whatever) out at all, and I haven't seen any good side-scroller scripts for RPG Maker XP. On top of that, I really want to make an RPG...I suppose that, if I really needed to, I could always expand the worlds I have now (the Mushroom Kingdom and Pokemon World) but I don't really know how to do that as of yet. So, I'm trying to see what I can do with this before I basically have to rework my whole game.

  4. Wow, didn't receive any notification of this...I still don't know where I'd find anything like that lol I really know little to nothing about Mega Man, so I don't know what their world would look like, so I don't know what I'd need.
  5. So, for Worlds Collide, I'd like to have Link and company end up in Sonic's world. Problem is, there's no way to do that because there's no top-down graphics for the games. So, I wanted to see if anyone could make some or not. I think I have character graphics, but not tilesets. Most specifically I'm looking for: Green Hill/Emerald Hill Something from the Floating Island (Knuckles' place) Some kind of technical city or something for the Robotnick battle Anything else that would really fit...Chemical Plant? Hill Top? I dunno what else really...

Well, I guess I'd need 2...The first time you fight, you fight in the room with the spiritual stones (except they aren't there) the second time, you'll be fighting in the Master Sword room (supposing the game plays out the way I want it to). I just need standard RMXP battlebacks that look like those rooms basically

That looks really good, actually, I won't be able to properly give you a real idea of how good it is and what not until I am able to test it on Sunday night/Monday morning (not sure when I'll be back home and able to work with RPG Maker XP again). However, it does look nice. I still don't know about the Pedestal itself, though. It looks like it's still see-through, but I don't know the size of the pedestal, so I can't say whether or not you can actually put tiles underneath it or not. Maybe you could just make the Pedestal set up so that it has ground already there? In either case, this website has the sage medallions, which is the symbols on the pedestal http://www.zeldawiki.org/Sage_Medallion
  10. It looks pretty good, but the diagonal tiles don't really work...If I want to make the wall bigger then 2x2, I can't do it. Also, the "Pedestal of Time" doesn't have any of the symbols it usually has on it, and it's also usually rectangular, not square/circular like the one on here. Plus, the fact you just used the RMXP stair platform thingy and erased the inside, it means I don't have a tile to put under it, and it's too small to put one in on the program. So really, it doesn't help me lol
  11. Okay, so, I have a Temple of Time Tileset, however, it only has one room to it (the main room). I needed to see if someone could make me a tileset that has the Pedestal of Time's room as well. Here's the tileset I'm currently using. You're free to just add a Pedestal of Time and diagonal walls to this if you like (or even just something for inside corners)
  12. I went in and edited the sprite from the original I posted. Her stances were all over the place, but now they aren't. As for the two comments: All right, well, there isn't too much I can do about that, but if someone can change it maybe? I don't really know what to do.
  13. So, someone did this for me. Do people think it looks good enough to put into the project? If not, could they shade it up and whatever to make it look nice? The friend who did it doesn't know how, but I think it looks great ^^
  14. Honestly? Just do whatever you need to in order to make him look feminine. His battle graphic doesn't look female at all, though. But, yeah, maybe give him breasts, longer hair, maybe extend the tunic into an actual skirt? I'm not sure what else you can do.

Okay, so, I've looked over the usual (Spriter's Resource) and the only Mega Man stuff they have that is top-down RPG-like is the diagonal graphics...naturally, I can't use those in RPG Maker XP, so I wanted to see if anyone could make me tilesets that would fit a Mega Man RPG style game. I'm using these for Worlds Collide, and I'd really like some help with this. (I think I need character sets, too, but I haven't focused on that, just the tilesets so far)
  17. I know, this request sounds weird. I was wondering if anyone could take and edit these two graphics to make them look female? I have been playing around with the idea of having a Female Link in my game instead of a Male Link (kind of weird, I know) but first, I knew I would need sprites of such. Anyone think they can make them or edit these?
  18. Grats on becoming a mod kellessdee ^^ Also, I support this choice. I'm not very active at all, and I can understand the need to "demote" me (sort of speak). I really don't come around here at all anymore. It's mostly the fact that my computer was formatted because of a virus and I lost RPG Maker XP and everything I had with it...so I have to start from scratch now...and 90% of the stuff I had for my projects can't be replaced as they were made by friends specifically for my games... So I've basically quit RPG Maker because of it.

  20. Thanks, I'll look through it and see if it helps me any. I'm currently without internet for an unknown period of time, so if you can keep the file in a place where it won't get erased, that would help, cause once I get internet on my regular computer I can go in and download it, but I can't download anything right now.

  22. So, I need some Minkoff battlers for some of the RMXP RTP. What I need right now are: Skeleton (53-Undead03) Bat (88-Monster02) Lizard (60-Aquatic02) Imp (75-Devil01) Kobold (63-Beast01) Basilisk (55-Snake01) (likely more as I continue work on it) Anyone think they can help with that?
  23. Lucia has the skill Meditate. It restores her SP if used. It only works after battle, but as long as you use it whenever her SP is low, you can get through no problem. I made certain there was a way to get through it. It seems difficult, but it's really not as difficult as it seems.
  24. I have worked with VX a little bit. First of all, I didn't know VX had a side view battle system. The default battle system in the version of VX I have is a system where all you see is the enemy, nothing more. Your characters don't have battle graphics or anything. However, on that note, if VX does have a side view battle system, my guess would be that it is a system designed by someone else. In that case, RMXP has it as well (Minkoff's Animated Side View Battle System). So, honestly? Just because it has a side view battle system isn't a reasonable excuse, cause RMXP does too (and it has a tactical battle system and 4 ABS systems AND an RTAB system). The tilesets in RMXP are extremely limiting. I've worked with RMVX and RM2k3 before...I moved to RMXP because RM2k3 sucked. When I moved to VX, all I saw was a downgrade. They switched back to the RM2k3 style of character graphics, they had gone back to the two layer system, and worst of all, they had downgraded the tilesets all the way back to RM95 (the whole 5 tilesets thing). It was so bad that I didn't care about how amazing the scripting was, the graphics were simply that terrible. I can't play RMVX games because the graphics to it are just that bad. On the other hand, even a bad map in RMXP can look good. No amount of work on RMVX can make a good map...sorry... The vehicles are unnecessary for any game, and even if they were necessary, RMXP has a vehicle script. So really, that's not even worth making a big point of. The point and click is nice...but you know...I use 3 different styles of doors in my current RMXP project...Why do I do that? Because doors operate differently between worlds. I can't create that in RMVX. Also, how hard is it to make one event then Copy+Paste it for every door? That's all I do. I also do that for the Healing Stones, monsters, and many others events that fill the world (especially treasure chests). So really you're saying VX can point and click and create, but how are you creative? How can you make your own style of anything if you just click and it's done? "A delayed game is good eventually, but a bad game is bad forever." If you can make a game in a month on VX, it will be bad. A good game takes time and effort. RMXP requires that time and effort. I've been working on Worlds Collide now for a month. Is it anywhere close to done? Nope, but it's better then anything I've seen produced in a month. Crystals of Chaos has taken 5 years and it still isn't done (I've also quit working on it for now). It's still better then almost any other RMXP game I've seen. Not to brag...but I make good games because I put the time and effort into it. If I can't do it myself, I'll ask around, but for the most part, 90% of it is done by me, by hand, spending hours coding one thing. Why? Because it makes it good. (Also, Adventure Game Studio is awesome and can produce games better then RMXP can but also requires you to code 100% of it yourself XD)
  25. haha, this is a different Zelda game. The original idea was to make a Zelda 1 remake so ^^
