  1. God bless my teacher, who is incredibly good with coming up with creative insults to hurl at me when I sass him. Damn right we need to have some interesting teachers around.

  2. I got only a little feedback on my own things, but I solved that problem by posting my game on other sites where it got more comments and critique. Don't hesitate to post your game here, of course, but also try posting it in other places as well. We can't say much if there's nothing on the page, and short descriptions don't do as much as a demo can. Once you have a demo, you'll probably start getting more comments, because there's something substantial to leave feedback on. :D
  3. just dropping in for the first time in ages to complain about lack of GIF profile pics :}
  4. SAT scores came back, AKA time to go practice more and then retake lmao

  5. so Germany kind of left the internet for good and I'm being a whiney 5-year-old about it, so what, sue me

It took me a second to realize you didn't mean an entire country left the internet. I didn't understand how that was possible.

Haha, Zahraa, it's actually super easy for him because he dislikes the internet.

He left mainly because he has RL problems D: Really hoping that he comes back, though.

  6. O.o o.O ... I've got my eyes on you from this second on, ya sneaky bastard.
  7. *shakes head* Pol, you sneaky son of a gun. On Sunday I have SAT practice testing all day long. I may or may not participate in this. ;)
  8. :D Having finished my SAT, I thereby take charge of this, will read all the past posts, and will arrange the rules based on past posts and any contribution people make from this post on. And ask people to contribute prizes and such. Although I am irresponsible, I am capable of drafting rules, asking the public opinion, setting a deadline, and sitting back. And possibly force Roochu to post this in News or something once it's up and running. I got a game plan if you let me roll. We cool? Not cool? Lemme know if you guys want me to handle this. Because I got this. *rolls up sleeves*
  9. So I watched Iron Man 3 and it was amazing and chill until the last 15 minutes and then I FLIPPED BECAUSE THAT IS NOT HOW YOU END THE DAMN MOVIE WHAT THE HECK

Call me a grinch but iron man 3 for was plain unwatchable given the cliche plot and bad guys that the imagination of a child could dream up. The great thing about iron man 1 was that it didn't rely on the fictional super-hero world, so the plot was believable.

Finished Age of Ultron. The only thing I'm mourning is JARVIS. RIP JARVIS. I loved that son of a gun.

IM3's villains were definitely... off. Weak interpretation of the Mandarin as compared to that of the comic's. But yeah, Mark, agreed. I recently watched Iron Man 1 and definitely see how it comes out on top of the others movies--even though I can't pinpoint what exactly made it so unique.

It wasn't the Manderin though, and the actor or whoever it was is an actual character in the comics I think. At least that's what I read somewhere...

  10. Iron Man is fantastic. I've been on a Marvel binge lately, and I've gotta say that Tony Stark is up there among my favourite Marvel characters.

Advanced Placement I think. Usually a "harder" high school class than normal that gives college credit and lots of homework.

reply is super late, but yeah. I have only 3 APs and I feel like I've sold my soul to the devil already.

  12. Christ... I watched Hunger, and the last 15 minutes were excruciating. Starving to death is absolutely terrifying.

  13. Jesus Christ, three full jobs' work a day? You better get that new job, it'll be good for you. P: tbh most of the time you offer to do these things, I just worry about you and work + stress + lack of time. These three things are pretty much all the things that matter to me. I personally think that if videos in the chat are fixed, then the rest is cool. I don't know what a more advanced chat would do, it's rarely used as it is anyway. And I think it's charming. There's also this thing that happens when I make my window smaller--the avatar in a post will duplicate, which looks odd. I'll grab a screenshot: Not sure if this is a bug or not, but it happens on mobile too (well, on my Nokia it does--my Nexus 4 seems a little more compliant), which makes GDU practically impossible to use on my phone.
  14. I wonder how many people can read the code and know their way around the site like Mark does, though. P: Considering that we do get someone. Well, if I were capable of making a site like this (and will never be lmao) I wouldn't accept help from people who don't have the amount of experience in web design as long as I did. I wouldn't hand a personal project off to anyone who doesn't know it like the back of my hand. Unless they're really, really good. Good help is hard to find. P: Damn. that one year actually makes all the difference, no you sound less than an amazing, intimidating, intelligent, alternate-world adult. (25 was always the year that automatically qualifies you as adult in my head, lol). And yeah, I jest. I wouldn't have the patience or interest to get drunk, it seems too little fun to make up for the trouble that comes after. But when you say a list of "bugs" rather than a list of "features we want improved", the list kind of narrows down a lot. P:
  15. pumped for Twitchcon at the end of this month! My friend got the tickets, I'm gonna ask my mum to go! o~o

  16. AHEM the edits you made in the first post beg to differ. O.o I can't even edit like that, that's pretty awesome. On the other hand, if I have permission, I might play around with the one you had in the first post... might try making the others look more like scarves... idk how much time I'll have thanks to SAT crap now though.
  17. The only thing I was concerned with when I started looking at this thread was the ratio of work needed to be done compared to the time that you have, Marked. Which I assume is like... 1million to practically nothing. I'm actually surprised that you had time to consider Saltome's thread alone. My opinion is that the site functions fine as it is (not flawless, but eh). I don't see the need to change things that aren't often used or are self-explanatory. To me, the fact that this site was created by one man is still amazing. This whole setup is enormous and, I imagine, pretty hard to maintain. Making completely new features? I don't even want to imagine how much work would go into that. Considering what Mark was planning some months ago with the game pages hasn't been implemented with, this entire list would probably take ages. To be honest... seeing that you're at the ripe age of 25, Mark, I'm surprised you're spending so much time here and on the occasional maintance rather than going out and working yourself three sheets to the wind every other night. Which is probably what I would do. P:
  18. I did a Google Search, and people are pointing me to this script: http://glitchkey.com/scripts/kim_xpvx_1_00.html I haven't looked at it or read the instructions yet, and I won't have time rn o~o but as soon as I can, I'll read up on it and tell you if it's what you're looking for. For now, I'll leave it here for you to check out ovo
  19. Wow, I'm surprised no one has commented on this yet. I'm not a Sailor Moon fan by any means (never looked beyond a short glance) but this game seems like it has a decent system set up and everything! Not sure if it's based off of an existing pack or something, if that's what they're called. But it's certainly got me interested, anyway. I guess I'll try out the demo!
  20. No problem, these are very good movies owo I've watched them all, and I'm currently learning "Merry-Go-Round of Life" on the piano, maybe I'll then attempt to self-learn the guitar. Then I'll learn the song on that, too. Aah, Whisper of the Heart is such a nice one. It's not as large-scale as the other movies that have their own world (Spirited Away is amazing btw, our family favourite for years), but it definitely gives you feels. The girl was relatable for me at the time, too, and I watched that movie over and over again when I was younger. The soundtracks for all these are beautiful... the Laputa one especially <3 Yup, they're such great movies. Probably some of the few things I'll remember from my childhood.
  21. I also really love Joe Hisaishi. He made gorgeous soundtracks like "Merry-Go-Round of Life" for Howl's Moving Castle, and also worked on Spirited Away. Probably other movies too, but I don't know and I'm too lazy to Google things on mobile. I wanna say Stephen Rennicks because I watched this movie, Frank, and am hopelessly addicted to some of the songs. But I haven't seen any of his other compositions, so I can't say he's a favourite.
  22. I've spent the past few days doing homework and watching an unhealthy amount of movies... Here's what I watched: Fish Tank, Inglourious Basterds, Prometheus, Frank, 12 Years a Slave, Jane Erye, Shame... Personally I really loved Prometheus and Frank. Planning to watch the Alien movies and Hunger next.

Interesting fact about the alien movies: The scene where the baby alien eats through a guys stomach exists because that writer had a disease (which has since killed him) and that scene is a metaphor for the pain the disease causes in the abdomen. Sadly I know this because I know two people with it.

O.o now I know to watch out for stomach-eating baby aliens when I watch the movies. But that really is interesting... I'll look it up.

  23. holy crap Hitler in a fur cape having a portrait painted of himself like a regal European monarch is the best thing I've seen this month lmfao

Dude...you can't just say something like that exists and NOT provide a link to it.

whoop it's not fur P: I have no idea what it's made of... but it's definitely a cape and it's fabulous. From the movie Inglourious Basterds XD

  24. I see. I hope you can find someone to help you out! I'll ask around and see if I know anyone outside of the forums who can help edit it. :P
  25. bach is senpai. Even though you probably don't mean classical composers, but I'm boring and I like Bach. Here's one of the pieces I can't get through a day without listening to.
