  1. Voted. And how does this 'Halloween King and Queen' thing work?
  2. I found a new metal band today, their awesome and currently not signed with any record labels or anything. Their called 'Through The Flood' if you wanna look em up. Their best song, IMO, is called 'Unseen'.

  3. Although I usually suspect mutation to create different 'types' of zombies are impossible, it's possible (a very slim chance) that whatever virus creates the zombies would mutate due to different genes in people, e.g., the 'fatal gene' found rarely in (not being racist) Jews. The bad thing about Australia is that there's no automatic weaponry like carbines of MP5's for civilian usage, nor do many gun stores stock the munitions for it, so primary weapons would be shotguns or rifles. Ammunition would be a big problem. Especially for shotguns. You'd need solid slugs (or something very similiar) is you ever want to take out a person with one shot from a shotgun and Solid's cost about $1 each here, meaning I doubt a gun store would have a massive stockpile lying around somewhere. Rifles and pistols, again, finding ammo would be hard (especially since other survivors might have already raided gunstores) but would be easier to get than Solid Slugs for a shotty. Blades and Blunts is probally my way to go; Machete, Crowbar, Axe, etc., since they use no ammo. I'd take a group of about 8-10 people, not too little and not too many. My dad, my friend Lee, and other friends I just won't name because you won't care for details such as names :P . Raid shops to get supplies and fuel for a 2 day trip, raid the nearby car-shop and find the 2 most fuel-efficient cars there (preferably non-computered ones so they can be hotwired). Then drive to a place in the middle of nowhere called Glenfall. Glenfall is actually quite beautiful. We got friends there (a mum, dad, and 2 daughters) that owns a business of growing wheat. This is good because it takes half an hour (no joke) to drive a square around their wheat-growing area. Wheat takes about a year to grow, and all they need to hope for is for it to rain because, as you can imagine, you can't normally water something like that. Glenfall is in the middle of nowhere, as stated before, so hopefully less zombies and other survivors would be there. Their house consists of 3 main areas - a guest bedroom which is a whole seperate sub-building to the house. It has its own bathroom, 4 beds and a private bedroom (which could be used as a store room). Then we have the main house (it's really big, though) and upstairs (all one room. Only way up is a staircase and its all under another roof except for a balcony that leads off from it). Thankfully, Glenfall is known for having rather wild sandstorms, so every nook-and-crany of the house is built so that it can be airtight if it needs to be. As I said, also, wheat takes about a year to grow, so dependant on when we get there, we may need more supplies to survive. There is a fresh-water lake 20 minutes from the house, and 10 minutes away from the lake is a cattle-farm, where the cattle are actually grown and bred for their meat. With the know-how and resources to make bread or any other wheat-related products, once we harvest it (machinery does it all) we could live off it indefinately, nearly. We'd have to harvest in portions we can actually store. Anyway, that's my plan. I'm going to comment on some of the others' plans. @Leophard - The suit of armor is a good idea, but its really heavy and would make you sweat a crapton (meaning you'd need to drink more water). That, and that it would make everything you do slower, meaning that if a zombie lept (not saying zombies can jump) it would be hard to actually move those steel arms into position to block it (not impossible, just hard). @Rya - Nice plan, but the only thing you have to consider is the fact that electricity and running water will be a no-no. So cameras, working toilets (unless they dont run on running-water), lights, etc., wouldn't work. Unless you got a generator (preferably bike-powered).
  4. I nominate CrimsonInferno for Kindness and Activeness. It would be a perfect pick-me-up if she won, too :D .
  5. Lol that's all good and fine, man.

  6. Lol Wyzrd. Look up Hilltop Hoods, their pretty good. Aussie, too :D . Sorry for the offtopicness.

    I don't get it

    Wait till Christmas Holidays -boom!-
  8. New Zealand is f**king beautiful. Sorry for swearing but beautiful just doesn't even come close to describing it. When I move out (if I do, I might just get to own the house), I'm considering moving to New Zealand. I loved it there, it's a good break. Might take another holiday there during my gap year (if I can get one).
  9. Will be in chat coz I have nothing better to do befoe school :P PS I hate school.

  10. Hey, welcome to the forum. Your english is pretty good, especially for your first year learning it. English isn't too hard of a language to learn, I guess, there's harder than Chinese, I know that much :D . I used to be able to speak some chinese, I can say some things in German, Czech and Russian but that's about it. Spelling it is the biggest problem I have. If I could spell it, I can say "The ambulance is broken" in German :D . Anyway, hope you enjoy your stay here. You working on any projects at the moment? I think quite a few people would be interested to hear about them.
  11. I never knew she had horrible parents... Wow that sucks. I agree with what Marked said now. Maybe nothing is wrong and they're just being assholes (no offense).
  12. Shit, I can say my parents have never done that to me. I don't know, maybe ask them if you did anything wrong. That's about all I can think of. I hope this situation gets fixed soon. Good luck with it all.
  13. Hardly turns on my old computer anymore, too much lag. It's kinda depressing...

  14. Joey's leaving!? NOOOO!!! Sorry to hear about this, man... Good luck with everything, hopefully you'll return some day.
  15. Released a new blog post. Please read it and comment with your oppinion for some questions that were asked, especially if you've played my game; Hope Afloat.

  16. Ok, well, this is Entry 1 for what I call Operation MOJO. This is, basically, a blog that I'll write about my attempts to get my RMXP mojo back and post about what I want to do with my projects, mainly Hope Afloat. Well, recently, I've been slightly inspirated by going back to some old things; I watched my favourite movie for the first time in whoknows how many years; 'I, Robot'. I played the FIRST EVAR version of Hope Afloat. Ah, god, that was horrific/awesome. As I said, I've been slightly inspirated  I miss the feeling of inspiration. First time in months I've felt it again. After some work on Hope Afloat Remastered, I decided to copy and paste the remastered version, edit the title screen a crapton and, hopefully, have a good-looking title screen. That's my first goal. Credit to RGangsta for the recolour and the red eye-blur and credit to Polraudio for the awesome blood-font effect. I don't know what I'm going to add, to tell you the truth, but I'll think of something if I watch enough 'I, Robot'. I've had a new idea for the beginning of the 1st mission. Thought it was a bit blank and dull. My favourite scene is the getting on and setting up the raft. I want to overhaul that quite a bit, not sure how. On the new intro, I have concepts in my head but you'll have to wait until I release the... Hmm... I don't know what to call this version. Not 'Remastered'. Hmm... If you have any suggestions, just post em in the comments section below. One thing I can tell you about the new 1st mission - you don't start with a pistol. Dun dun dun. I have a ton of new concepts, too, some are removing things, some are adding things: -Adding List: 1) Well, there's a rather... skill-level gap in between the 1st level and Ashaven (with the sprinters), and you have to follow specific instructions in order to survive Ashaven, which is, I think, a major turnoff to some players. Maybe add something to this new 1st mission, maybe a new town in between Emberville and Ashaven, I don't know. If you guys have an oppinion on either of these options, or your own, comment below please. 2) Ammo is hidden in various areas to make the game kinda harder and encourage exploration. But when I had most friends play without instructions from me they wanted to kill all the zombies. I don't know what makes this behavior, the only people I haven't seen it in, apart from myself, is, I think it was RGangsta, and my friend Lee. So I'm thinking of either adding more ammo lying around the place or just find more ammo where you find it. I don't like the idea of infinite ammo, unless I could make a proper recoil/reload system for it. 3) I'm adding a small ring-menu system. It will include 'Arm' (Equip), 'Journal' (Save, so you can save on-the-spot), possibly 'Map' (Will highlight the area in hand-drawn form and things of importance, but not hidden things, e.g. things in barrels or crates). If you think there are anything else for the menu, please comment it below. 4) Adding onto the 'Journal' section of the new menu system. I had 2 ways to go with this, infinite saves so you can save whenever you want, or a save system that requires a certain object (probally like a pen or something, maybe typewriter + ink cartridge) so you can't spam saves. Currently, unless I can get the save-object system working, I'll just be going with the infinite saves. Again, any suggestions please reply below. 5) Some extending on the map system, too. I want it to look like it was drawn, so I'll probally end up asking RGangsta to draw em for me. Mostly what I'd like is just a menu option that pauses the game (I'll need Leon's help since last time I tried it did the equivelant or just showing a picture while the zombies eat your face off) and shows the map. If it's possible, I'd like it to show a red 'X' that represents where you are. 6) Maybe, maybe, a difficulty setting - Simple, Survivor and Hardcore. The differences in the difficulty would be reduced ammo pick up and stronger zombies. The harder difficulties may have an extra weapon near the end, too. This would have to wait until I actually finish the game but I doubt it'll ever happen. -Removing List: 1) For 1st, I'm going to remove the ability to replay levels from the map. This might be good, bad and maybe unaffect people. There will be an option to replay levels once you win the game. 2) I'll be removing the mini-game concept. Since I never really got too far into it and never had an alpha for the mini-games, I don't think it'll be too much of a concern, just putting it out there. 3) I'm getting rid of the whole 'bomb threat' between Engora-Jenkins-Leanck. That bit made me loose my mojo in the first place, so hopefully by taking it away when I catch up with myself I'll be like 'Hey, it worked, woo -party with my RMXPU friends :jay: - . Well, for now, that's about it. I'll update you guys more later. Please comment with ideas and suggestions and answer some/all of the questions I asked above. Thanks, guys ;) . Good luck with everything and thanks for reading.
  17. Little blue files? Umm... I don't even know what your talking about there :sweatdrop: If you need some better eventing or maybe some spriting (still not too good, got a long way to go before I can do good scratch work, I can do great edits) just ask :biggrin_002: I'd love helping.
  18. Welcome to the forum :D . If you need help don't hesitate to ask. I'll be looking forward to your project topic. PS: Plants vs Zombies RULES
  19. I got nothing to do for 30 minutes or so, I'll give it a shot :D Need to do some spriting anyway, get back into the swing of things. Maybe get my RMXP Mojo back. Edit: Well, I finished 1 frame. It turned out much better than I expected. Since it's just a showcase thing, I decided to make some armor. What do ya think? Don't know what to call him. I took the colours from the Danny made by Crimson Inferno and the Dannii made by me. Hope you like it.
  20. Needs to start upgrading and re-release games. I need to make a list, too...

  21. Wow, this looks great :alright: I can't wait for a demo. i love the screenshot where its raining on the bridge. Just one thing; You might want to either recolour the matriach's head or body so it matches. Anyway, keep up the great work :biggrin_002: .
  22. Thanks for the welcome back guys :alright: It's good to be back.
  23. Thanks, Pol. Things are pretty good. First day of school was busy as hell and I thought I was never going to make this post. Now all I need to do is, for once in the whole year, have a substitute teacher for Maths and my high-school experience will be complete :biggrin_002: . My projects are coming along, well. We'll talk a heap more on the weekend (tomorrow for me).
