Certainly, the amount of effort you put in is somewhat proportional to the quality of your site. When I started this site I absolutely no knowledge about anything web-related. No CSS or HTML. Besides, you can always ask for help on things you cannot figure out :)

There's no confusion about that. I'm just saying that we don't need to have a mascot in our community project. In would have benefits for the community if the community project had the mascot and was very successful, however. Without it as well. Oh, my mistake :sweatdrop:

I don't java irc is the same thing. Isn't he talking bout a web based irc? Isaacsol you post that everywhere :P my vote would be to not use it (under current conditions) because the harder it is to access then the less people we will get in there. My vote will go to whichever brings in the highest numbers.

@laansolo: it's your call since you're one of the leaders. I'm not sure we need a mascot in a project anyway. @kiriashi: oh you invented mascots? These are awesome :D I looked at your sketch topic after seeing this, and you're a great artist! :alright: In terms of a mascot, I prefer the first one, but I'm not too sure it quite suits RMXPU, at least not the vision I have for it in the future. I think maybe it's because of a lack of facial expression?

If you're going to do that then you ought to edit my post and add the a link followed by the features. Wait.. this isn't a bad idea coz I can setup an iframe for it and therefore setup a session system showing users online. But still, add a link. We used to have a mibbit thing that was wildly unpopular :P

Yeah, I'd like to. Ideally, I'll write the website to finally be the way that I've wanted it for a long time. Then hopefully, as we've discussed recently, there will be a lot of growth potential and I can just sit back and relax lol and hopefully never have to do such major reforms in the future. Yeah. I'll feel something though, I mean I have found memories of setting it up. I duno if that sounds weird. But like in my final year of high school I'd wake an extra half an hour early to work on it and listen to music on youtube. It was fun :D Would it be daring to say I would ideally like to create our own downloads manager and gallery? :P Well of course I plan to practice my programming a lot, but these applications are sorta lacking a lot... I particularly dislike the new way the gallery looks and operates. Seems way more inefficient to me, what do you think isaac? And the downloads manager just doesn't really work.

I'm reminded of when I was 14 and my friend (who i used to visit every morning before school since it was on the way) had discovered anime flash games. Anyway. If its tastefully built into the story then sure. Generally though I'd find it pointless. It's not needed to get the point across. But if you're using pixelart.. how do create a sex scene with that?

I know more JQuery than javascript, despite that making no sense. It's true though, I could write far more in JQuery, probably coz its far easier and just works better. Since you know the syntax, once you realize how it applies to elements and things you will pick up in seconds. I remember the fist time I tried to php, it was such a fail... I eventually managed to get some array and use a form with if statements so it would print something depending on what you entered in the form. It was so lame I stopped after 1 day :P I pretty much learned what I know by a very slow accumulation of knowledge by doing small edits, followed by small components, followed by increasingly difficult components. Now I'm writing a whole site myself. Screw tutorials, you need to dive right in there and fail before you write some really good stuff. Too bad this stuff is a hobby. I enjoy it but, I give myself 2 years before I move on from my website days :P Assuming I have my degree by then.

The contrasting-ness is what allows there to be 2, because both teams have a different style of game in mind. I doesn't sound like it's going to happen, but we could make 2 forums like this (inside of the community project forum): Community Project: {project name}. However I suppose it defeats the purpose of a community project if there are two. I guess I just like to be competitive :rolleyes:

Does anyone think its a good idea to have two forum projects? The two would be so contrasting, it would be very interesting :rolleyes: By the way, who is the leader of the current forum project?
