An NPC is a Non playable Character. You will have set the Graphics for all your party members in the Database, right? If you want to interact with them and have them separate from your party, you can make events and set the graphic for the member from your party. You add/remove party members with the "Change Party Member" command. If you want to battle with them, you do pretty much the same thing. Make an Enemy with the party member's battler graphic.

That was one of the first scripts posted here: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=30 Here is the Download: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/index....&showfile=9 Zichiker, I recommend you download the Demo. In the Demo is a map with all the functions of the script. I suggest you copy the map in this demo to your own game as a reference. To place a script in, first of all copy the script. Open the Script Editor in RPG Maker XP, and add a new script(Right-click and select insert), and paste the script in there. Insert the new script above the script "Main".

So you're definitely going with a screencapture program and using RMXP? If not, I'm slightly biased towards flash. I am training EXTREMELY slowly in Flash, with Cartoon Smart tutorials. I watched the first episode of Secret of Mana, and to me it looked pretty simple to do in flash with the right sprites. I'm not quite sure what you mean by that, but animated sprites can be simple(I actually learned when I tried yesterday). This is just an explained screenshot of the .FLA file I posted above. I dont about your experience with Flash, you may already know all of this... Everything I saw in Secret of Mana(the first episode) is quite simple to do. To do it with RMXP though, you would need the extra sprites. I think if done right, people will like it. I think the storyline plays a big part in that.

Eventing Chapter I - Functions Of Messages

Sorry I quickly made this: -
 yeah getting there.

Okay, I get it now. Have you got Camtasia Studio? That's video capturing software you could use. Do you animate sprites like this: Arshes.fla If you did it with a screencapture program the filesize could be quite large. I think it's possible to do the whole thing in Flash, and it's much more interactive as well. I once downloaded this flash movie, every so often the screen faded and an Angel and Devil button popped up, and the viewer got to choose what happened next. Of course it was only a small sequence then back to the main storyline, which worked well. It also gets the viewer to watch it all over again and choose different options. How about this for water: http://www.cartoonsmart.com/fx_examples/watery.swf I know that's slow on your browser and it's from a tutorial, but that could work for water.

It's been a while since someone posted that kind of problem. I'm not 100% sure, but download this: RGSS102E.zip Extract it, and place it in C:\WINDOWS\system32 Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Also, I'm not sure about Vista if you're running it.

Haha no shit. I added it to the member bar. The permissions should be set up. If there's any problems with it, just post back here.

That thing in the profiles is there because it's actually installed, it's been here since December: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/index.php?autocom=ibwiki

I'm not familiar with VX Charactersets yet, so it's hard for me to criticize. Sorry, but they look good to me! :D

Battler animations? I think you Battlers, depending on the CBS. And that's only if you plan to fight them. Surely you can't fight every character in a game. Good job with those, Ark.
-
As long as it's entertaining I think people would be interested in it. Although I'm a bit confused about the screen recorder... A web cartoon, that would be animating right? I think I've heard of red vs blue from some people at school, but don't really know what it is. What program would you use to animate this?

Welcome to the forum, Stryke.

Try looking at this topic: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=1220

Have you looked at the "Fort In" tileset? Its no. 38 in RPG Maker XP. You could use that.

I made a new version of 091-Monster05. This is the original: My version: Face Graphic: This was for practice more than anything. I'm trying to learn cell shading with flash(this battler has no cell shading though so I guess I failed there...) It wasn't exactly traced, it was made by looking then drawing. It should look different shaped than the original, though I drew them while trying to match the originals shape. The Face graphic was just a large version of the battler and quickly shaded in photoshop(about 50 seconds work of shading). I would have waited to post more battlers instead of having one topic for a single battler, but I tend to make a battler once a year at the most due to laziness and lack of skill.

I'll give you a piece of advice. Before reading, at least read the title. Or a single post in this topic. This is not a Characterset. It has over 1700 Charactersets. Try not to necro-post any more either.

He's at here: http://www.rpg-palace.com/ Meaning his resources probably are to. Although resources discussion is off-topic in this forum. Zichiker, if you do not like the World Tileset by Inquisitor, you can request another in the Resource request forum. Or if you need help using it, the support forum etc. Lets have this topic for your project.

I once posted in RMXP General Discussion on a forum how to change my Avatar... I really couldn't figure out how to change my Avatar. Without questions we cannot learn, questions are good! Welcome to the forums.

I saw that on the news today, though I heard about it from this post first. He died way too young. The movie Ned Kelly he did was really good.

Ah, don't know how I missed those. They were going to the old domain. I fixed them up so if we ever change domains they will automatically link to that new domain. Thanks for reporting that.
