  1. You're probably right, but with only four members submitting images in the whole time we've had the Gallery, it's going to take a long time for that to happen. When it does things will change, and there will be restrictions. But for now, I would just like to get it used...

  5. If you're talking about your Member Title, I changed it to Eventing Teacher. But all members with 100+ posts can change it themselves in the control panel. You still have the Training Center permissions mask, so you should be able to view staff forums and moderate your own class. PM me if there's any further problems. Congratulations to Wyzrd and Black Shadow on becoming Global Moderators. The applications will remain open until staff positions are full. We are looking for Teachers as well, but there is no application for it. Just send me a PM if anyone is interested in becoming a Teacher. There is also a new section in the Gallery called "Workshops". I hope this Category will be used. I think only four people have actually submitted to the Gallery, two of them being admins. This Category is for Albums only. That means you can go and create your own little Categories in there, which a place for your graphics only. So members can come and see your work, and there is no problem with finding the authors of resources. I made one as an example: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/index....q=sc&cat=26 Hopefully this Category will be used.
  6. I thought no one would ever play it... The computer is wrong you say? I'm not smarter than a computer myself.... do you think there's a bug with the mod?
  7. Welcome Tryune. Welcome to RMXP Unlimited. :D
  8. I wondered where you had gone. Its good to see the future docotor is studying hard for his exams. Just like in NZ, we're finished our exams and are free for another 2 months. Mine didn't go so well :P Welcome back!
  9. Well you should be able to get the general idea. It has been very impressive so far, its the same story in other communities as well.

Ok, I'll close your other topic and PM you those resources. Goodluck with your project. The updated post looks good.
  11. After testing the trial version for the first time last night, I went to see I could get an RMXP Chatacterset in there, and after making a template I converted the first 50 Charactersets(All the human Charsets) to be used in RMVX. You can test these yourself when you download the trial: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=1024 RMVX.zip All of these files are also in the gallery: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/index....q=sc&cat=25

    Need some sprites

Really? So your character, and events in the game will never walk or face downwards?
  13. DarkDragon just told me the trial version of RMVX is out, so I'm going to post it here. Download The limitations are: 1. You cannot make a game disk The only way you can play the games is by using the "Test Play" feature. 2. Limits on the number of items, skills, etc in the database This will not be limited in the trial version, but in the trial version you cannot change the default number of items, skills, etc. in the database. 3. Can make up to 10 maps Self-explanatory. 4. 10 events per map Self-explanatory. 5. Limited RTP In the complete version, there are 104 characters, 56 monsters, 80 face graphics, 80 animations, 1024 map tiles, 238 icons, 42 BGMs, 10 BGS, 10 MEs, and 200 SEs. There are less of these in this trial. 6. Scripts cannot be edited You can take a look at the scripts, but not edit them. 7. Games cannot be opened Self-explanatory. 8. Games cannot be saved Self-explanatory. 9. It doesn't correspond to updata? We have no idea what this means. 10. You do not need to install RTP separately Everything is included in this trial version, but in the full version you will need to install RTP separately like previous editions of RPG Maker. NOTE: The trial is japanese. Test it and tell us what you think.
  14. In this Tutorial, I will show you how to only encounter enemies on specific tiles on your map. This is exactly like how the encounters work on games like Pokemon. First off all, open up the database in RPG Maker XP, and goto the tilesets tab. The last button on the very right side is called "Terrain Tag", click on that. This will show "0"s over all of the tiles on that Tileset. By default every tile is assigned to 0, and you can change these value from 0-7. These numbers are to be used to identify tiles with variables. For this tutorial, I will use the "Grassland" Tileset. Open your database and goto the "Grassland" tileset. Click the "Terrain Tag" button. Here we want to change the value of the tiles we want to encounter enemies when the character is standing or walking through them. I'm going to set all the grass tiles to "7" as shown below. This is all we need to do in the Database, click OK. Now place some of those tiles into your map. Goto your "Map Properties" and add some Troops. We are going to want the "Step Average" to be quite low. I'm going to set mine to 3. Now make an Event somewhere on your Map. Set the "Trigger" to "Parallel Process" Add a new "Control Variables" command. Here we can setup the Variable which will set the Terrain Tag the Player is currently on. So create a new Variable and name it "Set Terrain Tag". In the Control Variables command window, have the "Operation" set on "Set", and the "Operand" set on "Character" >> "Player" >> "Terrain Tag", as shown below. Next, make a "Conditional Branch" command. On the first tab, set it to "Variable", and make sure the Variable selected is the "Set Terrain Tag" Variable. In the next box, have it set to "Equal to", and a Constant of 7. This command basically checks if the variable "Set Terrain Tag" is 7, and the "Control Variables" command above sets this value to the value of the Tiles Terrain Tag value. So when the player is on the grass, the variable "Set Terrain Tag" is set to 7, and when on any other tile, it is set back to the default value, 0. Inside the condition branch, under the first line, add the command "Change Encounter", and set this to "Enable". Inside the Condition Branch under "Else", add the command "Change Encounter", and set this to "Disable". Now test play your game. Once the player walks into the grass, you should encounter enemies, but anywhere else you should have encounters. Demo

Do you want me to close your other project topic since you're dropping it? I found some old resources from my game maker days. I made a couple of sonic games myself, but i was about 12 or something so they're weren't that good. Anyway, I have some resources you may or may not find useful. Including some spritesheets. I'll PM it to you.
  17. I'm sure I wasnt active when Ark was. Anyway, I actually like the last one the best, I dont think there's anything wrong with the text at all.
