GDU Chatroom Opened - Bug reports needed

When I was testing this, all was going well. Then when it went live it all turned to custard... I took the code from a tutorial and built on it to develop our own chatroom, but the base code I used was far too bare, and here we are with a very disfunctional chatroom. I'm going to look for other code and integrate it into GDU. The google chrome may be an issue with the HTML5 websockets? It's uses this real time software, but there is some lag in it still because of all the bbcode parsing which I'm working on making quicker: http://www.pusher.com/ -
Just until as long as it takes. I got back into it yesterday. There's a few functional things I need to get fixed, and the rest is on design. Would it be helpful if I had thing where you type in your email address and you get an email once its ready?

Oh THIS movie, I saw this the other day on a site. Do recommend it for someone who wants to help people make video games, but doesn't really have an interest in making them? (I would probably have continued to make games if I had the time..)

Sorry I didn't think anyone would actually be following the countdown. I'm just not really in a great position at the moment. I've got $3 in my account right now. I lost all my savings recently (when I wasn't on the failboat I actually had several thousand in my account) and just staying above water is pretty difficult with full time study, living costs, and the nature of my job. Actually, I have 2k floating around but I don't think I'll see that money ever again. In the wrong hands its as good as gone. So work and study have me tied down. Now that there's an official forum for enterbrain, and there unilateral endorsement of community, that leaves the enterbrain side of this website to rot away. And you may have noticed that the enterbrain side is currently the only side. That's not a deal breaker, but I was fond of RMXP once, and its demotivating. Not to mention everyone's addicted to Minecraft these days. When I'm busy, motivation would see that I still got things done. But being both busy and demotivated leaves very little room for GDU. The sad thing that it's so close to being ready and has been for a long time... That comment on facebook made me feel kinda bad..

I just wana take this quote out of context :P A war that wasn't about money? Has there ever been one D: I wouldn't fight a world war like the wars past. If otherwise my country is in actual threat from being taken over (as opposed to just helping our allies) then I would go. I'd do it for the country. But that would never happen, particularly in a world war III.

I still don't think I'm bashing the US. It would prob only have been a thread for you and I. I don't think so harshly as you do with omissions, and I've studied criminal law in this area and I tend to agree with it as "fair". Canadian law is probably similar here in that area. I think an omission being MORE guilty is absurd from any angle.

No one is saying individuals of the FBI are corrupt. An operation like that which took place is significant enough to make a statement of the organization as a whole. The way they act may be ok and legal in their own country, but certainly not in NZ. It's really disappointing our govt. and police let it happen, but not under any delusion with regards to their corruption.

The government of the day in NZ is unfortunate indeed. The other major party didn't have a good leader and the only other option was this prick of banker who is so obviously corrupt and the typical politician. He's also trying to get into bed with the Americans. That's the problem with millionaires.. once they have money, they want power.

Well there's certainly nothing online. I don't think Bob should bother looking at local newspapers. The evidence for and against is such for me to say that it is more likely than not that this is fake. There will never solid evidence, it's the internet, and there will never be certainty, so I'm not going to fall to the most convenience assumption here and I don't think that's foolish or disrespectful.

im looking to create something like this for gdu. its not ur own website, but with plenty of customizatios, ease of use and immediate traffic, i think it can fill what ur looking for. so if possiblee can u tell what features you would be looking for to use such a service?

Hmm maybe. A lot can happen in 8 days. The release will be the start. The official launch of GDU won't be until 2013 because silly me got a job and chose an extremely time consuming degree. So I'm looking to do things a step at a time, with the first step being switching over to the new forums and domain. As above.. Don't expect too much >.> I may have a little surprise design wise Btw welcome back Crimson. I was wondering if you were gone for good.

I find that judging someone without knowing their situation can be a bad thing to do. Especially when motivation and dedication is something very difficult to achieve for some - eg living in a low decile area, growing up in a household with domestic violence, abuse, etc. I know personally I am extremely privileged and have every opportunity to do with my life what I want to do with it. I think that while in your highschool, its fine to have addictions that take up a lot of your time, so long as you pass. Employers don't really care what your grades were in highschool if you go to university. After highschool, I agree with jon bon on pretty much everything, but that applies to me, and that's what I'm like. I sometimes even think about what I want to leave behind when I die in terms of financial assets. If you know your path, and you're going down the right track (ie studying towards your degree, and passing) then if you're doing 8 hours a day on holidays, then I don't see why anyone should judge that person. I don't see how you can pass uni playing a game 8 hours a day during uni. Your employer, at least your first one, is going to look at those grades. You certainly do think about the time you wasted when you get older. I agree with this. I decided where I wanted my life to go when I was 14 years old. The thought of not going to uni never crossed my mind once. I'm nearly on my final year in both of my degrees, and my boss wants me to take over and run the company in the future. I suppose since I was 14 I was terrified of the 'mcjob'. No offense to those people though, like I said, you can't judge someone when you're not in their situation. Except damn when I want a sundae at 1am you guys DONT run out of whatever you need to make my sundae...

I reckon spend the wife's paycheck, and I keep all my money. My gf's parents are loaded. That's what you call I wise investment. Positive NPV for sure. The initial outlay is say 20 years of presents, activities, etc. Then BOOM: inheritance.

I couldn't help not saying that, I'm not too sure you can combine the two One follows the other, but I'm fairly certain you won't experience both at the same time. I never went to any driving course or whatever. I got my learners (first stage of a license where you need a full license driver) and my dad pulled the car over and told me to drive home. So that's how I learned. After that I would drive my mum to get groceries or whatever, just for practice. I got my license all the way back i 2005 when I was 15. Just know your limits and don't try to impress anyone or don't be afraid to show your inexperience. If you're not confident in doing something (ie driving at 100k's (yes, we use kilometers per hour) then just don't do it, or do it slowly and within your own ability. Just practice and your ability will grow. Maybe you should drive somewhere empty and the around town speedlimit (don't know what that is in miles, 40?) and just slam on the breaks. Test your stopping distance. Well thats just general driving advice, no idea about your drivers ed PS: never drink drive. Lol this one time right, I was driving home from my friends 21st, a wee bit drunk and pulled up to get some gas. There was a cop there and he was talking to some guy. So I'm at the counter and this other guy in front of me, also drunk, starts taunting the cop. And I'm like.. dude stfu. And the guy says to me "Hey how are you? I hate cops ae." But anyway, don't do that. I wouldnt ever do it again.

Since you're not looking for mapping advice, the only real thing to say is what ForeverZer0 mentioned. The leaves really stand out. If I was playing the game I'd be running all through those leaves, looking for why they stand out so much. Then I'd suffer disappointment, and promptly close the game. -
Sigh. Starting a 9-day cramming session in prepartion for my final. I guess that's not cramming, but its pretty much continuous study

I counted just 2 ie bashing posts so i dont know what you two are on about· the rest is good healthy discussion in my opinion· strictly speaking yeah its off topic, but not if you look at the purpose of the off topic rule· if you`re problem is solved and the topic verges into a beneficial discussion thats related to the oringinal post anyway, and in circumstances where the forums are less active than desirable, then personally im happy with that· it doesnt matter much anyway coz the topic is as good as dead·
