  1. Try Ni no Kuni and Tales of Graces f to start off with for PS3. Tales of Xillia is coming out this year too. Then there is Last Story, and Pandora's Tower is releasing next month for the Wii. I suggest keeping an eye on games from Atlus, NIS (or if you live outside NA then I believe Atlus publishes most of these games), Namco Bandai, Level 5, and Xeed for your jRPG fix.
  2. Nu metal fuses other genres with metal characteritics. Slipknot, Korn and Linkin Park make for an example.
  3. Recent Death Metal Release from Dying Fetus - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGfyySlwqKw Classic Black Metal (Full album) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bd4ofPlgSxM Power/Progressive Metal (this is from a VERY underrated and obscure band) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcsNRZzQJp4 Christian Heavy Metal (some of the best Christian music in existance!) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--LNFUa6PXw
  4. Discuss anything metal from heavy metal to thrash metal to death metal to pretty much anything except nu metal. Please keep nu metal to a thread of its own. Thanks. Here's some music from Judas Priest and Iron Maiden to get started with: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=te0_XpRhKFs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3c5wbUf64o
  5. As an American myself I am ashamed of my own country too and want to move to the European Union. I lost pride in my country long ago but because of this Megaupload shit I am fully supportive of piracy and anything opposing this country's agenda at suppressing online file sharing. I was formerly against piracy but not any longer.
  6. 32GBs not MBs... Anyway I am not getting a Wii U any time soon. Maybe when there is a large library of games available for it but until then I am sticking to PC-only gaming. Also I grew weary of the New Super Mario Bros. games.
  7. I got this forum dedicated to obscure metal bands (of old and new) called Forces of Steel. So far we have 850+ posts and 40+ members (7-9 of them active daily). We are a drama-free community and we like to discuss the actual music itself. There is also a section for downloading obscure metal music. We want to keep the underground alive! 8. I grew up with three of the biggest Gods of gaming, the NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis/Megadrive.
  9. So this console is a F2P platform, and then you are given the option to buy the full game in pieces, like DLC? On one hand this is what most games release today should've been considering much of the 60 dollar game is cut into pieces and you are only getting the first third of the full game. On the other hand games on the platform will likely be glorified 90 minute demos and if you want the intended product that will keep you busy for at least 10 hours you'll easily end up paying way over $60 for the game. So I am guessing this doesn't really change things for the best. $99 is very cheap for a games console, but I must be missing some kind of a catch. I don't know, I am quite skeptical. Will this console scream of interactive, annoying advertisements? Will the online infrastructure be some paid to play service like Xbox Live (which is nothing better than some crappy fanboy-backed consumer gouging tactic)? But like I said before, this is something that most 60 dollar games on the market should have been to begin with, given the DLC that plague most of them.
  10. Yeah, I don't understand the push for a new console generation. The Wii needed to be succeeded by a new console for many other reasons than just graphics, but the PS3 and 360 can go on for a few more years before being replaced with a new generation. Besides, how much better do you really need your graphics be? If you really are dying for new graphics, then you need to consider gaming on PC.
  11. Oh you don't use it, I have to subscribe to the feed using the admin panel on the forum for it to work.
  12. After the RRoD fiasco with their 360 I am not very hopeful for this system. I believe it will be another heater with weak solder joints and low-grade ceramic thermal paste that caused the RRoD in its predecessor to begin with. Of course I am hoping to be wrong but until I am proven wrong this will be my opinion. Microsoft should have done what Nintendo did for their Wii, use leaded solder for their joints. The Wii is the only console this generation that doesn't have a widespread issue with hardware failure mainly because of this. The system generating far less heat than the latest models of the Xbox360 could also be another factor, but even if the Wii generated the same amount of heat the HD consoles do it will still win the show in terms of hardware reliability. This is not coming from a Nintendo fanboy. The Wii was far from what Nintendo could have done. I am just stating facts.
  13. It wasn't that the Wonderbook is a terrible idea, it was a terrible idea of mentioning it at E3 to an audience with a majority of, you know, people with no kids. Sony must have forgotten that crucial bit of information. They should have saved this advertising for a nationwide tour at Barnes & Nobile bookstores instead. But yeah this year's E3 has been terrible. This is probably the most forgetable E3 this entire generation. Sony dropped the ball on their show for giving spotlight to a peripheral that benefits only a very small percentage of the entire audience, and the attention given to their latest handheld console is only a step above zero. Microsoft showed us another batch of sequels to the franchises they religiously milk to death, along with more gimmicks aimed for a casual audience. Nintendo didn't answer any of the most important questions for the Wii U. No pricing, no release date, no clear details on hardware specs, no confirmation of their native output resolution for their first party games (1080p is very important for a next gen system no excuses). UbiSoft has a decent show. Watch Dogs is especially good for PC gamers, even though it will be released on consoles, the PC version will be the definite and not some crappy run of the mill console port.
  14. Chances are this whole story is bullshit and untrue, but I can admit the gullible side of me believed it for a minute.
  15. I have just installed a mod that collects feeds through RSS and automatically posts a thread. So yes our site has a feature for that. I can have the mod subscribe to your feed.
  16. I think the licensing terms refer to redistributing the material separately, including using them in a non-RPG Maker project. That would make sense. It is important to remember most EULAs are written to only be decyphered by a legal expert, and not the end user. If this is a real concern you can take this up to your lawyer that specializes in Intellectual Property.
  17. Yes, we can affiliate without a problem. Not only by exchanging links but also contribute to eachother's work. It's awesome you are making a site too.
  18. I am his aforemented "friend" that co-founded this site. Thanks for the comments. Yes we intend to keep this site a friendly place. For instance, if you want to talk about console wars at least do so in a mature matter, and not hating on other's consoles. Bashing other people's consoles with insults don't make yours any better, nor does it make theirs any worse. This kind of conduct has no tolerance on VG Dimension. Debate if you will.
  19. That. And the houses in the town screenshot look EXACTLY THE SAME. It looks generic at best. Make some of those houses bigger/different in shapes, and add other decor like chimneys. Also, place some dirt paths, ponds, and gardens. Your town needs to be more lively and interesting.
  20. What is the difference between paying $15 per NES game and downloading a rom for free from a business perspective? In both cases the companies publishing the games get no money. Even if you paid $100+ for some rare cartridge the publishers see nothing out of it, just as if you are downloading a rom for free. But downloading a rom is illegal in the US, it does not matter if you own a legitimate copy, it is an illegally made copy therefore it is illegal. The only legal way of playing roms on your computer is to rip the cartridges you own with special tools. With that said, fewer legal prosecutions were made in this area than movies and music, so chances of getting caught downloading SNES roms are slim.

Hey, looks good. Thanks for the help! Yeah, $1325 for a gaming computer is very good. Back in the day PC gaming used to cost more. PC gaming is cheaper than ever before nowadays.

...Nothing, not even in the junk mail. Ugh. And there is nothing that explains why something as simple as this is not working.

Thanks, man. Yeah I assume you would want a 850-1,000 Watt PSU for a gaming rig. Finding ways to future-proof your machine is the way to go. Looking forward to PC gaming and playing Diablo III, Torchlight II, Dragon Age Origins, Skyrim, Morrowind, Witcher 1 & 2, Battlefield 3, Team Fortress 2, Total War Shogun 2, a choice of a good MMORPG, and a bunch of indies. Getting sick of gaming on consoles. It feels good to play games on a desk with a keyboard and mouse.
