Transgender widow put on trial
Knuckles replied to FranklinX's topic in Debate and Mature Discussion
I'd hate to break it to you guys, but this is the debate/mature section, and nearly every reply in this thread falls short of a proper nature of mature discussion. Needless to say, I would have chimed in my two cents to the context of this topic, but what's the point? People will resume with the bickering or find another off-topic excuse instead of contributing to RKO's intended discussion, or so it is expected. -

What I really, really dislike about customer service is when they put you on hold for 30+ minutes listening to coma inducing music while they're sending you to a representative with an accent that you couldn't make up his/her words with and cannot understand simple English in the end.

My backup computer is running slow
Knuckles replied to FranklinX's topic in Computers, Internet and Tech Talk
Any computer is capable of running slow. My desktop with a Quad Core, 6GB RAM, and a 750GB HDD had its slowdown in the past. It could be your files on the HDD are fragmented, thus a Smart Defrag task (or just use the Windows Disk Defragmenter tool) could be necessary to solve your issue at least somewhat. Hidden background programs are usually responsible for a slow computer, try closing the unnecessary with task manager and uninstalling all the software you'll never use. Install SpyBot S&D and update the spyware profiles via its update tool, immunize your database, and run its scanner. Start-up programs, registry issues, internal dust resting on your hardware, malware of all forms, and a plethora of other problems unexplained can and will lead to a performance hit. Try the several ideas given in this post as well as the other posts in this thread. If you cannot optimize your computer from its current Windows installation, your last resort should be a reformat alongside backing up your HDD contents. Reformatting is a quick way to fix a hosed-up computer in terms of the operating system. As already suggested, internal dust leads to performance deterioration. -
I for one get this one numbnut sending my Hotmail address to spammers and get piles of spam each day into my inbox as a result. Regardless of how many times I junk them I get more from new addresses. This has been going on for over a whole year and looks like I need a new e-mail. Windows Live Messenger, though, is peaceful as ever.

To answer your question, I don't know. If there is a god, which god? Zeus? Thor? Horus? Allah? Yahweh? [insert unlisted god here]? I firmly believe nobody can truly know which form of deity is the one of reality. People firmly believe in their deity (or deities) and feel that their beliefs are correct while everyone else is wrong. While Christians feel certain that they're reading the book of truth and worshiping the one living God, other religious belief systems don't believe a single word of the Bible as divine authority but instead another religious compilation of books written by man with no divine inspiration from a deity. I will openly tell you why I am not a believer in Christianity. I was once a believer in the Christian faith, but my faith fell like a house of cards upon reading the Bible with an open eye in contrast of reading it their way, like sending a prayer to the Holy Spirit for the correct interpretation. The Bible, the foundation of Christianity, reads several passages that are of a questionable nature. In the Bible I found atrocities, absurdities, violence, genocides, wholesale killings caused by divine disasters (like the Noah's Ark flood story), repugnant laws, an outdated moral code, contradictions, and corruptions due to translation and hand-copying. Nearly every Bible believer holds diverse opinions, interpretations, and context. I'm also lacking materialized evidence supporting my former beliefs, and thus I found myself no longer believing in Christianity nor the relevant god. The concepts of original sin, eternal punishment, repentance, humble worshiping, self-denial, and total depravity is entirely devoid of a healthy spiritual and thought life. As a result, the mountains of questions I've asked my former fellow Christians are left unanswered, or with dry, unconvincing answers because their 'knowledge' in the Bible was challenged. I've also studied 'some' history over the Internet on the disasters caused by religion alone. The Jonestown Massacre, the crusades, inquisitions, and maniacs like Hitler with the Holocaust (Hitler was a Christian, a Catholic to be exact). Christianity has a history of bloodshed, and my greatest regret was to believe in said religion in the first place. Given the faulty book called the Bible and the bloodstained history, it is safe for me to feel good about my decision of abandoning what I once believed as the universal truth.

Nothing I find more annoying than a complete asinine idea of having a couple money drains being woven into the otherwise traditional JRPG main series in contrast to the tactical entries bearing its own sub-series. Not to mention the most recent JRPG titles in the series are simply inferior to the classics released for the NES - PS1 generations. After FFX-2, Final Fantasy, unfortunately, lost its savory flavor we've known FF for.

In my local time zone (GMT -5) we are approaching the second hour into 4th of July. I will be celebrating the holiday with the usual but yet simply entertaining show. It's stuff we shoot during the night that explodes into bright, colorful lights... Obviously, we call it fireworks. Ya...

This model kinda does look like a mini Dell XPS or Alienware PC. Perhaps I am the only one with this thought? When my current Xbox360 gets the dreaded RRoD this model will quickly replace it. The built-in Wi-fi and more storage to boot from my current 20GB disk storage would be a definite upgrade. I was going to shell out the extra cash for a rather steep-priced larger disk space, but this happened first. My primary system, the 60GB PlayStation 3, just recently got its hard drive upgraded to a 320GB and getting it ready for more games like the upcoming Sega Dreamcast game downloads on the PS Store. Looks like PS3's good for now.

Membership rapid increase and inactivity
Knuckles replied to FranklinX's topic in Feedback, Bug Report and Forum Help
Popular or not, this is a decent community for users to participate in. From my understanding of RMXP Unlimited so far, all the important things for any given website is covered here. Popularity isn't relevant to the brilliance of this website. However, since I am new here there is a lot for me to discover on the site before I pull ideas out and toss them in the hat. In the meantime I'd say we continue holding interesting discussions that will ultimately drive in more members/activity, and expand our community. I registered on the forums for the quality of the community, not the knickknacks. An arcade may help retain the members this site already has, but is barely a selling point for new members. Unless someone will build exclusives for this arcade, it'll likely consist of off-the-shelf games from the module's official site like the countless forum arcades I've been to. -
Thanks for the welcomes. :) @Enigma, Thank you. I'll remember that whenever I feel motivated to put my hand into a new RPG Maker project. @Incongruous-Behavior, love your avatar. P.S. Happy Birthday Formlesstree4!

Hard to explain the game myself... It is nothing like the Final Fantasy games on the NES, SNES, and PlayStation. The game just doesn't deliver the gameplay I found enjoyable in the older FF games. The lack of interest in the game's plot, and the linear structure of the game itself didn't motivate myself through the game. Many of the elements that made FF an excellent series, were absent, thus the game feels streamlined and rushed through the industry, leaving you with much to desire. I don't hate this game but frankly this is probably THE Final Fantasy for ol' Knuckles. Moving on...

Hello RMXP Unlimited community, I joined the boards a few days ago, but haven't allowed myself to post around yet. My interests consist of the usual, like video games, music, television, the outdoors, vacations, and learning new skills. A 'gamer' is what best describes me as a person, go figure. I have a love for retro generation video games like NES, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Atari2600, and what not. Despite of my love for retro gaming entertainment, I am not so partial to it, owning all three current generation consoles and both handheld platforms. My personal favorite current generation platform would be the PlayStation 3, but as I don't claim myself as a fanboy of the PS3, I also enjoy my Xbox360 and Wii as my secondary systems. All systems bring their own food to the table. Gaming aside, RPG Maker has an important place in my past, having used RPG Maker during the prime time of RPG Maker 2003 and XP. Though I rarely ever use RPG Maker today I am willing to try out a few solid RPGs built with this tool that I used to enjoy. Anyway, now that I introduced myself to the boards, I'll likely enjoy my stay in here. Expect my posts to be few in quantity, but lengthier if necessary. P.S. Happy Birthday Formlesstree4!
