  1. As for games I only own SSFIV 3D and Super Monkey Ball 3D (love SEGA's quirky games). Nothing on the 3DS interests me otherwise at the time of this post, and I am not even interested in Zelda:OOT 3D because I completed the game with a 100% quest log last year. Paper Mario, Pokemon, and Mario Kart will be examples of the games I'll look after. Anyway, the device is awesome for what it is. I purchased the black one on launch.
  2. The Wii U supposedly allows for USB 2.0 external media devices like 2TB HDDs or HDDs of any other size and USB thumb drives, iPods, etc. for storage. Hopefully we can directly load and save game files, application channels and virtual console games, as oppose to the current scenario in the Wii. Even though the SD card menu allows for a false sense of achieving that (for channels), you're still utilizing the internal memory.
  3. To summarize, Nintendo unveiled the inevitable next gen Nintendo games console at E3, aka the Wii U. This 8th generation Nintendo console is Nintendo's leap to the HD world of gaming, along with a new controller that can be used to stream your games for use w/o a TV. Useful when your parents or Wife watches the news or soap operas. Many other details in this article and essentially anywhere around the web. http://www.engadget.com/2011/06/07/the-wiiu-nintendos-next-console/
  4. Retro generally is defined as a thing in the past whether it has been a decade or from the previous year. It doesn't change the glaring fact the GBA, indeed, has been discontinued for some time and it is now a thing in the past (as defined in a definition of "retro"). The 3DS has been launched and the DS is on its way out.
  5. I own (retro consoles and handhelds): A collection of pong consoles Magnavox Odyssey Intellivision Colecovision ATARI- Atari2600 Atari7800 SEGA- Master System Genesis Saturn Dreamcast Gamegear Nomad Nintendo- NES SNES N64 Gamecube Gameboy GB Pocket GB Color GB Advance Wishlist: Commodore 64 Amiga Atari5200 Famicom (Japanese NES) VirtualBoy Retro gaming is in my blood.
  6. The same nut-job has a history of predicting a time in the 90s for a rapture, yet it didn't happen. Ya, I never buy into rackets.
  7. Getting mine on Sunday (NA Launch). I did get an opportunity to give Pilot Wings a whirl on a demo unit at Best Buy. The 3D technology, while cool, is nothing I am excited about given my previous experience with 3D technology leading me to headaches. At least the feature can be disabled back to the traditional 2D setting, the way I prefer playing it.
  8. Good to know you and your family survived the snake pit of a situation and very unfortunate for the estimation of 200-400 that deceased. But to say the least I am very happy about the former.
  9. The layering system is similar to RM2K/3. You have only two layers to work with as opposed to RMXP's three layer mapping system. If memory serves me right tileset A is dedicated to layer one and B through E work on layer two. With 2K/3 both layers have their own tiles.
  10. VX is a great concept with flawed execution. The concept is to revert back to the original point and click roots of RM2K(3) that appears to be absent in RMXP. Many long term RM users find it rather of a nuisance than anything else, and no I am not getting started with the assorted drawbacks besides the infamous tileset limitations. I believe the best route to overcome the tileset clamp is to use Disk Changer for VX. The annoyance is you have to literally spread your project across multiple projects, as each tileset will have its own dedicated project file. However when playing the game they work seamlessly as if it's only one game.
  11. It's a lot better now that you trimmed your site width down. Good luck with the future of your site, you have a lot of potential laid out. :)
  12. You need a web host to upload HTML files. If it's just one HTML file a basic bare-bones service would suffice, like http://geocities.ws
  13. Happy belated birthday Kiriashi. My apologies for that. :(
  14. Actually we were very kind about your work and we offered suggestions on improving your site. No, we didn't register on your forums because we've seen way too many forums like yours that came and went. If you feel we're attacking your site that is simply your problem and not ours. Anyway, I wish your site luck in the future, but you sure need a lot of experience on managing a successful web forum. I have been in the website industry for nearly a decade and I've yet to own a successful site.
  15. That, and the homepage's fixed resolution exceeds past my notebook's screen (1366x768). This also exceeds way past the current standard (1024x768, I believe).
  16. Not practicing what you preach. Classic.
  17. Addicted to Plants vs Zombies on PS3

It's pretty bad on the Vita too!

  18. Yes, it is understandable he could have worded his reply in a less-harsh alternative approach. As said before he could have done away with his wording. However if the game artist takes offense to something (that wasn't intended to be offensive) that is simply his/her problem, regardless of how easy it is. To add to this post, the member was irritated his criticism was taken on a personal-level so it is no real surprise his reply was worded in a rather harsh nature. It is annoying when you point out the quirks and the artist takes offense about it.
  19. My thoughts: He simply asked a basic question. Nothing rude so far. Here, the member criticizes the game's voice acting. He addressed a quirk and stated it sounds forced. He also finds the accent annoying. How is this evil? Onto the second quote (the bottom portion): The word shit refers to stuff. I.E. Don't post stuff if you don't want people to talk about it. He isn't tossing the game away as a shitty game. And he has a point. If you don't want people expressing a negative opinion toward your stuff, be it a game or a web site/forum, don't even bother posting it. Simple as that. Then again this is in an opinion. I agree, he could have done away with using "shit" as a word.
  20. Hey man no problem. :) I'll post all my feedback from now on via PMs. People here take the more controversial-scale feedback on a personal level. That's their problem but hey whatever.
  21. Some examples would be nice as it would help address the problem much better. Not like you need to tag the members' quotes anyway. Just shoot out the examples!
  22. Did we forget this is the feedback forum? No? EDIT: That post you quoted was directed toward the members (that find avatars offensive) as a simple suggestion. Nothing to do with moderation.
  23. As brutal some of these "assholes" may be, many of them do have a point.
  24. Isn't there an ignore feature on this web forum? You could always add members with offensive avatars/signatures to the list and you won't be able to even see their posts, let alone the avatar.
