  1. That way we virtually wouldn't have any issue.
  2. In virtually every RPG Maker forum you will find replies that are less than nice on any project thread. People will speak openly and concisely their verdict on a project, and may be harsh and brutally honest about it. It's simply the way it is.
  3. Forum-only sites do work if you manage to pull it off. You will need to add content to your forum if you want to be successful however. Adding a gallery module of some sort with original, unique RM resources that is found nowhere else will lure in loyal members to your community. Polishing up your choice skin with a banner and some modifications is also vital. Other than that, good luck. EDIT: I see the banner now. Either it wasn't inserted at the time or it didn't load up...
  4. Nowhere found in this site's rules against avatars your peers simply don't like. From my understanding, even the administration was okay with the choice avatar the whole time he used it (which was quite awhile).
  5. How about posting topics in the right section, like the Feedback Forum for this particular thread?
  6. Computer AI technology improves, and soon will boast the power of self awareness. Imagine a forum full of regulars that are actually bots. Actually this bot IS self aware.
  7. Stayed up late for the Sony Tokyo Conference which was streamed to IGN just to find out if they will announce it. That was worth it. I got my 3DS preordered and the same will happen to the PSP2. EDIT: I don't think MS should throw in an Xbox handheld. We have enough platforms to choose from.
  8. After the first generation of Pokemon I lost much interest in the franchise. I mean, how much "Gotta Catch Them All!" can a person stand when they constantly add boatloads of uninspired Pokemon species? The first generation of Pokemon is all I need. EDIT: I would still play the old games for the nostalgia from time to time.
  9. Did you know your brain actually has more connections than the entire universe of computer networks, the Internet including, combined? You have the most powerful computer network in existence right above your shoulders. You can think nature organic supercomputers do exist.
  10. You are correct. In fact it doesn't delete any data at all, but the entries off the table of contents that refer to the data. It's like a phone book and while the land number may become unlisted upon request, the number still exists nonetheless.
  11. Fortunately this is not always true. When "deleting" files, you are usually deleting entries from the table of contents and not the actual data. The actual data will still exist on a temporal basis until it's being overridden by replacement data. Formatting is usually no different. An undelete tool (don't have one of any recommendations, the tool Polraudio recommended will hopefully do the job) will scan the hard drive for any recoverable data and if you haven't written much data into your new operating system, or the operating system alone has not destroyed much of the files you want, you have some ray of hope for any recovery.
  12. Yes. People cannot DARE to question the staff's name. Gee I didn't know. EDIT: To make it less "offensive" to "make everyone happy."
  13. Apologizing would be sufficient if I feel remorse. Sadly I will not lie to Leon and tell him "I'm sorry." That hole is the least of my worries.
  14. Precisely what in the hell is this feedback forum for? I've read your rules, and observed your staff carrying out judgment on 'disputes' that are NOT in contradiction, and posted FEEDBACK about it where it belongs. Your members have a lot of respect for this website and the staff. Try a little bit harder not to bust it by devaluing feedback and slap it back in their face, should you disagree.
  15. Final Fantasy VII through IX is available for the same price last I checked. Tactics is also downloadable. Unfortunately not a single PS2 game is available in the store let alone the FF games, though there should be some hope for this in the future (esp for the rare games). For now I just pop in my PS2 disks. The cool thing, if you haven't previously know, is you can copy your downloaded games onto your Memory Stick Pro Duo and play it on your PSP. Some games can be a bitch to control given the streamlined control setup of the PSP unit vs. the DualShock.
  16. Fun is pretty much relative. Play it and see if you're fond of the games. Since you're not a fan of the battle sequences, FF probably won't be fun for you.
  17. $150 is a steal for all the titles you purchased, given FF7 alone would take up a sizable portion. Didn't check out your link, but how much dough did you spend for FF7? As for me I paid $10 for FF7, however that is from the PlayStation Store using my PS3. I prefer having the materialized copy as it has re-sell value.
  18. Probably. Given I am a brutally honest individual I like to express my verdict honestly, rather than posting some sunshine and daisies thread about it. Constructive criticism can look very ugly. By that same coin my posts were made in an effort to refrain from triggering a personal attack (flaming). No personal hard feelings for Kiriashi in this entire debate.
  19. Forumer from my last visit, which is dated back at least 2 years, is just like the current host servicing RM For You. It's dedicated only to the forum software they provide and thus you have no access to the file system (like FTP or a web-based file manager). In this case they most likely disable downloadable backups as well.
  20. Not confused at all. We're on the same page with something here. This topic pretty much served its purpose. Lock it, delete it, leave it open, do whatever you wish with it. No hard feelings toward you.
  21. Then more power to you. I posted my feedback about it in the feedback forum. You have every right to not agree with it or to adapt it, though it doesn't change the fact I can post my opinion about it.
  22. and By that same logic porn, flaming, and spamming are common rules, yet it's written on the board rules of every forum that prohibits against such content. Again there are a multitude of forums that allow multi-posting though you may not be aware of them. Then we have the common forum that abolishes profanity, however this forum isn't one of them.
  23. Yeah, using a host specifically designed for forums is a bad idea as you will not be given the ability to perform backups of your data, unless you pay the piker of course. Try Byethost. No there is no previous experience of the service from me but it does look promising on paper. At least you can download everything and transfer it to another host if you are not sold on the provider any longer.
