Oh youth, how our hearts were such fragile things, like fluff on dandelion wings. If you care for her, just do it. Go over and tell her how you feel like Diagostimo said. At worst you'll find out she doesn't care about you the same way, at best you can date. You'll probably regret not trying. Also never change for some one else, cause it'll never work. You'll change for a little while but then fall back into your old ways. Since it's mostly about spending time together I'd say just take a little more time to talk to her during the day, but if your school activity is important and you like it, maybe she could try it? is it possible for her to join what club you're in and spend time with you there?

lol I would think you of all people would have remembered such an easy trick yeah, some scripts don't translate well from one update to the next. Just curious, have you tried Heritic86's script?

that's old news my friend, and just another piece proving that SquareEnix seems to have no plans to do a new game about it.
-
I don't think you could on the base engine, though you could probably fix that with a bit of crafty coding. the other problem is that you'd probably have to redo all your tiles for the same high res you do your characters. I'd suggest just trying hard at making sprites. Pixel art is hard, but with a little creativity you can pull off some great stuff.

This i can fix cause it's happened to me on different things. Open the Game.rxproj in notepad, and you'll see a line "RPGXP 1.02a " or what ever, change it to the current version of RMXP you have and it should run without copying anything.

SquareEnix has actually put a kibosh on anything CT related since Chrono Cross. There have been a lot of fan games that Square has gone out of their way to actually stop, threatening to sue people and basically ruin their lives over even free fan games. And forget using their material...oh god did they ever have a fit when Crimson Echoes was about to come out. I don't think they ever want to touch this again, and I'm not sure why since it was a revolutionary game and the sequel wasn't that bad. But you'd better just forget about ever seeing one.

Alright guys I'd like to post a little progress report and ask your opinions on a few things. First of all I'd like to thank the people who offered to help, I'm happy to see that a few people are interested in having this project go forward. Now on to the grit. So far only a few of these things have been set. Some of them I'm waiting on responses from the developers, or from the writer. I'll update the information as it comes in. For your Turn 0 problem i suggest [XP] Timed User Input Script by Heretic86. Basically it lets you interrupt events any time, so it should work with your current FFX battle system. Test it out and see if it works, might solve your problem without getting rid of your current battle system.

My vote goes to big Ace cause he's awesome.

welcome back. Always good to see old members come back.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by 'turn 0'? do you want a specific effect to happen the same turn as the action is taken? You need to be more specific about what it is you want so that we can help you. Also I took a look at the summon script and it seems as if it was made specifically for his battle system, so it might be hard to convert it. You may want to look around there are others who have made FFX summon systems that work with the DBS.

color changing is easy especially since you have an identical one with the right colors. Just color swap, should only take like 30 minutes max. sprites are simple to modify if it's only the color.

That can be arranged you know lol jk. come on people, only 2 days left and only 10 people voted.,..i expect more than that are active.

All staff positions will be posted in this topic, and it will be updated whenever there is a new opening. If you are interested now or being apart of the team in the future, follow this topic (see the top right of the topic) to receive email alerts about new openings. This is a non-profit Magazine that will be featured on GDU. No one will be charged for downloading copies, however we will not tolerate theft of our content. All submitted content must also be original pieces, we do not condone theft any kind. New Online Magazine for Indy Developers Hi GDU members, Dolarmak here to tell you about a new project I'm starting on GDU to help people like us who are developing video games without the help of a company to back up resources or a huge staff to share responsibilities. I intend for this project to inform people about the different resources available for them, where and how to get them and tips on how to make it easier to develop the dream projects we all have in our hearts and minds. The Magazine itself will be featured here on GDU, but will be advertised all over the internet for anyone who needs the help, in an effort to get the site to grow and make dreams come true. This will also be a Spotlight for finished games because they deserve the recognition of their hard work. Demos may be reviewed, but I want the focus to be on finished work to prove that it not only is possible to do, but that they will be great. Features In-depth look at current available game making engines. Information about resources available for game making engines (scripts, graphics, ext...) Reviews of finished games and interviews with their developers Tips on Writing, Scripting, and Design Positions We're looking for people to volunteer some time to help this project get up and running. Positions aren't set in stone and can change based on your willingness to help. Interviewer Interview a game developer about the successes and complications during the game making process. Game Reviewer Review a finished game and write an article about it. General Writer Write articles for the magazine based on the issue's topic. Ex. tips for gamers, writers or designers. ((If you have an idea for an article feel free to pitch it to me and we will see how it can be incorporated into the magazine.)) Graphic designer Making the graphical layout or pictures associated with the games/articles for the magazine. Issue No. 1 Topic RPG MakerThe topic for the first issue of the magazine will be RPG Maker. This will encompass all the RPG Makers (Xp, VX and VX Ace), the resources available and game reviews/interviews for finished RPG Maker games. ((I'll make a separate topic when the content for this issue has been decided.)) Applications To apply send me a PM.

Hehe, Lizzie and I are tied now! awesome.

I started playing and finished part 1, currently on part 2 on my way to fight Igneel. I don't know why any one would say that the initial battles seem unbalanced, they were perfectly fine for me. Unless you already fixed it in the version i downloaded (01/26/13), it has perfect battle progression imo. I think the trick is knowing how to set and use your Disciplines. Maybe a optional tutorial on that would help people? I figured it out from reading the comments here on the site. I like the battle system, it's very well done. Good job. Spelling and Grammar are fine as far as I see, but I'll report more when i finish the demo. So far I'm liking the game and am impressed by it. Good Job.

Looks like Lizzie is winning, Congrats Liz

I agree with RageMage, sure we didn't have a lot of people who used other programs but there is no saying that it couldn't have grown. I would have liked to see more engines on the site. Tho I don't see that stopping us from keeping the alternative engine forum open to cater to those who are using them. Hopefully we'll see more activity either way. Also personally i prefered the GDU look, this new one isn't bad, but the old one was sexy lol

Oh i was just talking about other free storage sites, not here. It'll be cool if you can use their API.

OMG I had no idea Aaron had died....this is a huge loss for the world, not just the internet. the MEGA site looks pretty awesome. The fact that they use a 2kb privacy key is amazing....and kind of insane. what kind of computer would be needed to break a 2kb code is crazy. I must say that I think this will be great for our community, having a file share site that doesn't have a 2 Mb limit will help with us getting our games/scripts/resources out more easily.

Lyris - pt. 1
dolarmak replied to Leon's topic in Role Playing, Interactive Story Telling & Forum Games
A dark figure observed the young woman as she entered the pub from his seat at the farthest end of the dinning hall. It seemed her arrival caught the attention of most of the patrons but things were quiet this evening and even a mouse would have drawn out eyes from the farthest corners of the establishment. I was a foul night and those who lived in the area knew that dark things were creeping in the shadows. It came as no surprise to the man when the news of the murders came to the pub during the late hours. Most every one had already left or gone to bed, but the man in back still had half a pint of beer in his hands and he was determined to finish it. It was the youngest deputy who came in, dabbed with blood spatter by his knees and drenched by the rain to ask questions. "Jesus Christ boy, what the hell happened to you?" The bartender was clearly startled by the blood. The deputy shook his head as he removed his large rimmed hat. "It was Tommy Jameson, I found him in the alley a few blocks up ripped to shreds. Sheriff Dunn also found Kaila out past the Boyde's house killed the same way." The bartender frowned and shook his head in dismay at the news. "Damn it, tonight of all nights. Every one knows to stay in, what in the hell were those kids doing out so late?" The deputy shrugged and sat at the bar. "I don't have a clue, but Sheriff wants me to ask if you had any new clients tonight and to verify their whereabouts for the last three or so hours." The bartender nodded. "Well I only have two tonight who are new. A young girl and that man over in the corner. He's been here all night drinking. The girl went to bed about an hour ago." The deputy sighed hoping to find a lead. " Damn, both were killed hours ago. I guess I'll keep searching. If you hear anything let us know." He put his hat back on and with a slight nod to the bartender he left to the dark of the rainy night. Finishing his drink the dark man got up and put his trench coat and leather cowboy hat back on before turning to the bartender and tossing him a coin. "Things look like they're getting interesting here." He spoke with a rough deep voice that almost seemed like a growl." The bartender shook his head and frowned deeper than he had before. "Nothing good's going to come of this." "Probably not, but it'll be interesting." And the dark man pushed the door open and walked out into the rain to follow the deputy. -
I like your enthusiasm Lizzie, I'm sure we can get the site active in no time at all. But in all honestly, January is usually a really quiet month for most websites. Don't be discouraged if it takes a bit of time to get things running at full steam.
