this is pretty interesting, with the community project that is happening here maybe they could use this to keep track of the stuff they need done. -
Moonpearl's Animated Battlers [RMXP]
dolarmak replied to Moonpearl's topic in Archived RPG Maker XP Scripts (RGSS1)
Alright,, I got it to work after updating my MP commons, looks really good Moon, I didn't see any lag, so might just be your laptop. I did notice a few things you'll want to look into. 1) when doing ranged attacks or skills, it doesn't scroll over to the enemy, so you can't see how much damage it takes. 2) when the character dodges they move farther back, but when the attack is finished they don't return to their orignal position until their next attack. thats what i noticed so far. If i see anything else i'll let ya know. -
Ah the megaman clones. you can do it in RPGmaker, XP VX and ACE, it'll just take a lot of tweeking the base code. I've thought about it and maybe after i make my Breath of Fire game i'll think about making my megaman idea. lol

GDU Needs a Resource Team!
dolarmak replied to ShinGamix's topic in Feedback, Bug Report and Forum Help
Yeah i think you're right. It'll just be a matter of time when more of us can post our resources which should attract people. Having a few games featured on GDU will help and I think there are already a few that will be displayed. -
GDU Needs a Resource Team!
dolarmak replied to ShinGamix's topic in Feedback, Bug Report and Forum Help
I think a combination of game art (tilesets, character sets ext.) and the Scripts would do the site good. My suggestion is a page with a list and desciption of the Scripts we have available, because right now it's a bit hard to find stuff. I know i've seen some cool scripts and after a few months try to find it again is like pulling teeth with the search engine. -
yeah doesn't work for me on IE 9.0.8 or on Firefox
-
Congrats, second place isn't bad at all.

I feel pretty stupid now lol. Thanks Diagostimo.

[Edit] I'm proud to say that I fixed these problems myself. took 2 days, but I managed. Hurray me. [/Edit] I'm trying to customize my menu to something simular to Breath of Fire 3. Now I've already done a bunch of stuff for it. I've already divided the stats into the columns and rows, placements are already good. It`s the menu selects that I want to change from text going up and down, to pictures that display the text above it and move left and right. [Edit] I figured the second part out on my own, I just need to tweek the positioning.[/Edit] I also have an issue with the select box not going where i want it to. The flashing selection box displays oddly. any suggestions would be good. Here is my Window Menu Status so you can see what I did to divide it.

I know this is necro posting. I got this to work perfectly for the main menu, but i want to have a different picture for each screen like the status screen, item screen and other ones. Can some one help me with that?

lol I wouldn't get a website done from any one like this who only posted a single message which was to inform you of their service as a web designer...looks like they google help needed and post to everything they find. I've done webdesign but i'm not really interested in doing it again. I find it has too many hastles especially if I'm the one who has to update the code and events because other people are too incompetant (my last clients) I'm sure you could find a nice template for a site, but if you just want to know if the site is plausable, post your idea and I can easily tell you what price range you can be looking at. BTW any thing you make on Photshop is doable for a website, some things just take a bit longer than others.

This was actually pretty helpful for me. I was wanting to do a simular thing with the columns and it worked great, now it's just to tweek it to the perfect spaces. Thanks guys for posting the stuff.

I'll nominate MoonPearl for helping me with a bunch of RGSS help i needed.

what do you think of my epic trailer music
dolarmak replied to albertibay's topic in Resource Showcase & Critique
hey thats not bad. I did notice a few places where the transitions could use some smoothing out, but over all you did a good job. -
yeah i was wondering what was happening with the contest. How about a quick Mapping contest, doesn't take a lot of time to do so people can still participate while working on other projects.
-
yeah, i see over 5 spams on the new post list...this is crazy.

yeah we seem to be bombarded by spam bots the last 2 days. whats up with that?

anyone know a good tutorial for php development?
dolarmak replied to diagostimo's topic in Computers, Internet and Tech Talk
yeah, learning php from the web is tough cause most tuts are incomplete. And as Marked explained learning from something else is the key, see how they use the functions and how they work before working on a project from scratch. Building a forum is a huge task and requires a lot of work. Is there a reason you want to build a website from scratch? There are plenty of resources out there for that kinda stuff. Free forums you can download, newscast web scripts that are easy to use but offer a lot of leeway for your design and content. -
Sounds cool, can't wait to see it.

New stuff on index>? [Poll]
dolarmak replied to ShinGamix's topic in Feedback, Bug Report and Forum Help
@ Shin - I do agree with you about the image gallery, if you could have an option for those that want it to be displayed, or for us who don't for it to not display would be nice. The rest doesn't bug me so much. -
Welcome to the forum Wendell, your game looks cool and I can't wait to try it...i just hope it doesn't give me an error this time when i try to extract it.

I was going to say it wasn't slow, but my previous post was timed out from lag..lol chat gets me every so often too, but only when people post videos in it.
