  1. I hear that, considering the way things are here I'm not even sure if I will be able to get anyone anything, I'm already a bit behind on rent good thing is I'm living with family so I just pay rent out of consideration for them since my dad's disabled and not able to work.

    Wii PS3 or 360?

Hm, did Nintendo do something bad to you or something? Just joking, hey I knew a hand held would be at least in the top three.
  3. Hey, it's fine I love my gift. It's the same thing I get everyone every year.
  4. If only I had more time on my hand I would love to help. I'm a bit to busy to right now though as a friend just discovered RMXP and I'm teaching him how to use it and I also have 3 projects taking up my time.
  5. Hm, That sounds strange to me, Christmas turkey, that's probably because my family has a huge Christmas breakfast every year since before I was born, so it just seems normal to me. We don't really do anything big for dinner though since usually we have so many leftovers from breakfast we're eating sausage, gravy, bacon, and biscuits for a day or two afterward. Though seriously am I the only one that wants it to be the last Christmas for 365 days?

    Wii PS3 or 360?

Lol, I figured it would have been a hand held system rather than GameCube. For some reason I know of some people that are just brutal to hand held systems throwing them against a brick wall but, that's nerd rage for you, they could have given that to me instead though wasting their own money either way.
  7. Good find, to bad I make all my resources myself but, this would be great for someone that doesn't have the time patience or ability to do that. Though I may have to check out the music since I'm tone death and can't do the music.

    Wii PS3 or 360?

Yeah I've had red ring happen 8 times already and have only had my XBox360 about 2 years, next time it happens I'm not even going to bother getting it fixed. I never seen the PS3 error. To tell the truth as far as things go with game development, XBox360 pretty much sucks for that since it's what a $199 year subscription to XNA with recurring monthly fees, while PS3 all you need is a copy of yellow dog (it's Linux so it's FREE).
  9. Well there's actually two ways to have illegal copies of RMXP, there's PKE and then there's keygen. Though the PKE version is illegal in the sence that it breaks copyright laws, the keygen is pretty much stealing the software. Unless you actually bought the software, it is illegal.
  10. Okay just to start with I'm jealous, sadly I have the whole collection just my Suikoden I is in such bad shape it wouldn't play :cries:. I forgot all about Radiata Stories, I never got to finish it since a "friend" borrowed it and sold it. I definitely need to play Dragon Age but I can't seem to find the time. That picture made me want to play Suikoden IV for some reason.
  11. Okay, just out of curiosity list either your top 10 favorite RPG's or favorite RPG series. Also just to add a note The Legend of Zelda is not technically an RPG, as with RPG's comes "dice rolls" that determine how much damage you do and if you do any, where as Zelda is an action/puzzle adventure. While yes, there is a story it is not technically an RPG so that does not count. I will not and can not however stop you from including it in your list if you so feel that it fits. 10: Super Mario RPG / The game itself was hilarious though in reality it was a bit to short for my taste it did have an interesting story. When I had first played this game as a kid I couldn't wrap my head around teaming up with Bowser. 9: Earthbound / This game was not taken well at first release, the original concept was for the NES but was postponed, later it was reconsidered for the SNES where it made its first real appearance. Ness and his super genius friends, some of whom are psychic, have to save the world from the future, a quest given to this young child by... an insect. The over all concept was a good one but it was not pulled off as well as it should have been, even with that said it is one of my favorite RPG's. 8: Tales of Phantasia / A great game with great game play, though the battle system itself is difficult to get used to at first it eventually becomes second nature. The side view combat system used stuck with action rather than waiting and relying on the support of team mates became difficult as you had nearly no control over if they healed or not. 7: Secret of Mana / This was one of my favorite games when I was younger, it stayed challenging and had the best battle system for it's time. A game a few to many years ahead of it's time but, still a master piece that Square should forever be proud of. Little known fact of this game, it was originally made as a offshoot too Final Fantasy but ended up becoming it's own 2 part series. 6: Dragon Quest / This one speaks for itself, the ever present rival of the Final Fantasy series that is always one step behind. The game's in them self were good but it seemed as though much of the time they were trying to hard to be better than Squares cornerstone. 5: Chrono Trigger / Do I really need a reason? Okay here we go, time travelers who jump back and forth through time to save the world so to speak. Over all a game with a solid concept and solid plot, though the execution was slightly faulted. 4: Final Fantasy VI / Let me guess you thought that this would be my number 1? Sorry to disappoint you, the game was great and given that if you really took advantage of the strengths of some characters the game became much better. Though there were a few glitches with the original SNES version such as the all famous Wind God Gau and Psycho Cyan glitches (if you don't know what these are I'll have a extra notes section at the end). 3: Grandia / I couldn't just name one out of this series, the games were great. If you've never played any of them grab a copy of the first one and be prepared to have some fun. Really as I've not had the time to play these more than 3 or 4 times the fact remains if the developers were gutsy enough to actually create a religion in game and to pull the religion itself into corruption then they could have done anything. 2: Breath of Fire IV / Ryu, nuff said. Okay that's not enough to put it as my number 2 okay how about I add in the fact of a mind bending story that leaves one wishing that it hadn't ended so soon. Or I could mention the fact of the numerous mini games that are often not seen in a serious RPG like this. 1: Suikoden / A series that offers so many limitless choices of characters is boundless. This was probably the best series that I have yet to play the first of for lack of a playable copy. I will admit I was introduced to this series a little late and having only played Suikoden II + it can only be said I am in love with this series, sadly I will also admit it is the inspiration for my main project.
  12. If pi r square then what about cake?

  13. I know what a 404 error is, I was just commenting that I was also having connection troubles earlier on top of the 404 errors making it nearly impossible to actually access the site, could do it but took a few reloads. I had to completely shut down the home network and reconfigure everything to get it to stay stable which is a first, maybe I can actually log onto MSN for a change now. I'm just glad that the 404 error problem has been worked out and would personally like to thank those involved in fixing the minor problem associated with why I went to sleep early this morning.
  14. I hadn't thought it was turning into a debate yet. Can never tell about these things. As far as the comment earlier with car's, what kind of car is "in style"? I've never heard of such a thing. I just have one rule as far as cars are concerned, if it's not older than me it's not a car. I think the "cars" made today are nothing more than glorified plastic toys build to last, until you actually need it.
  15. If you make it look like it's turning in the direction of the step (see Arshes sprite) it should help a lot, the biggest problem is it's stiff in that posistion and even armor made like that would move when walking.
  16. I'm not sure if Super Nintendo really count's since really now all the good games that came out for Super Nintendo are now considered "in" as most of them have been ported to a hand-held or they've become popular on emulators. Perhaps it it was Atari it would be different, now I want to play my Atari but I don't feel like going to the attic. Though Fedora's are "in style" lately does it count that I've been wearing them for about 17 years now 15 years longer than the fad has been around.
  17. Yeah, that's exactly what I meant. I had him next to Arshes in a test and it really shows that way. I'm sure you'll find an interesting way of fixing that.
  18. I never really followed trendy or in style as usually it never last and ends up being a waste of time and money and shows in my opinion a great deal of immaturity. While the things that I consider "in style" for me personally may very well be out of style, give it a few years and it will be "in style" again and I'll be ahead of the curve.
  19. As far as your test in RM goes I would recommend setting him up to do his stepping animation next to an RTP character also doing a stepping animation, it appears a bit obvious that way to me anyways. That's simple enough as it's only checking the boxes next to Move Animation and Stop Animation. I just realized that gray around his legs was part of armor right? even if it's armor when he steps it will still turn or move a little.

    Wii PS3 or 360?

I actually own all three but, I don't really use the PS3 or the Wii so I don't guess they really count. Perhaps that should be Microsoft / Sony / Nintendo since I still play my Nintendo and Super Nintendo more than any of them.
  21. The stepping looks funny, it doesn't appear as though his legs are moving with his feet. It kind of looks like his legs are stiff and his feet are moving separated from his legs, that is just how I see it on graphics gale when I do it as a .gif, perhaps just changing the way his legs look when a foot is back, shadows may not really do it. Then again this is just what I see and unless someone was really looking for it I doubt they would see the same thing as me. I'm not really sure though but it may not even look that way in RM since I have not checked just yet.
  22. Ah, it was no worries really since it didn't really change much for me as I'm having connection issues now my wireless keeps shutting off and it's starting to get to me. It was a bit weird getting the 404 like that though since I've only gotten that problem when I was closing my site before and people was getting in some last minute talk time and downloads.
  23. I've had RMXP off the official site since it's initial release, though I just bought RMVX recently so that I would have it to reference to in case someone needed help with something in it. I'm not fond of RMVX the graphics handling and the sound quality is horrible as well as the way it handles events. Though everything is simplified in RMVX it's safe to say that anything you do in it will suffer greatly as far as over all quality goes. I would however recommend RMVX as far as beginners but if you understand how to do everything that RMVX offers it may be time to switch to more of an advanced intermediate and use RMXP. I say RMXP > RMVX graphics RMXP > RMVX sound RMXP > RMVX events RMXP > RMVX scripts RMXP > RMVX maps RMVX > RMXP simplicity
  24. I don't think the site was actually down as I got the error again not even an hour ago. It's just a glitch in the server I believe, should be a quick fix that would actually take the site down for about an hour. Other than how much it can be a deterrent to new members it is also a nuisance. I don't believe that this is good for the site community either, I was just by chance trying to load 3 different pages in the forums here and one of them loaded without an error.
  25. I know about that since I've done web admin and run a site with issues like this before, I was able to fix them pretty easily but it was never something that was happening all the time like it is today.
