  1. My Turn :D http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/7933/rmxp.png
  2. I so wanna see this movie. I was supposed to go to one of my friends houses and watch it yesterday afternoon but something popped up with his family. Probally gonna see it around Saturday or Sunday this week.
  3. I stepped into the water; automatically going light headed as my werewolf-side adapted to the cold. The room now was much lighter. "When you said 'I don't want you killed while I do my performance', you don't think that guards can hold me down? Anyhow; I've learnt, through Yoga, how to contain my form for up to an hour. Unless your performance goes for over an hour..." Tatazaki looked up at me. "Yeah, there might be a bit of bloodshed. Not of any civilians, obviously, only the guards who attack me." I sighed. "I'll tell you a secret," I said, "I wasn't ever bitten by a werewolf; I was one from birth. Apparently the werewolf gene in my family hadn't been active since my Great-Great Grandfather. My parents think that I might be his reincarnation."
  4. Eventer 101 Introduction to Eventing What is an Event? An event is a simple implement of RMXP with nearly unlimited possibilities. A single one can allow you to make a cutscene, a battle or anything you can manage to make it do. But, as I am sure you are aware, if you do not know how to make your event do what you want, you may be putting your project at hold or even give up on it. This guide is to help you learn and understand how to make your events more effective and amazing. When making an Event, you aim to do the following: -Make your event run as smoothly as possible; no split-second pauses, intervals or other stuff-ups. -If you are making a cutscene; don't overcomplicate it. Allow the player to know and understand what's going on with ease. -Attempt to make sure that there isn't anything unneeded in your event that clutters it up. When you go to edit it you might run into a bit of trouble. -Use the "Comment" event to describe what happens where. This way, you know where something might glitch up when you test it. Types of Events Map-Based Event Map-Based Events are, as the name suggests, the ones you place on the map through the Event Layer. These have 5 Triggers and are as follows; -Action Button: The List of Commands located in your event will be activated when you use the action button (C, Enter, Space or what these are set to). -Player Touch: The List of Commands located in your event will be avtivated when the player steps onto the tile the Map-Based Event is set to. -Event Touch: The List of Commands located in your event will be avtivated when another event steps onto the tile the Map-Based Event is set to. -Autorun: The List of Commands will start up automatically when the player is on the map the Map Based Event is set to. Note: This event type will loop and will continue to function if you use a Erase Event the next time you enter the map. Using a Self-Switch to perminently disable an event like this is advised. -Parallel Proess: This event, as a Map-Based Event very similar to the Autorun event. Take the Notes of the Autorun Event, also. -Player's Starting Location: This is, arguable, a Map-Based Event. This indicates where the Player will appear at the beginning of your game. Common Event Common Events or Database Events are made to function with different items, weapons, etc. To create a Common Event, it is accessed in the Common Event section of the Database. Common Events, unlike Map-Based Events, only have 3 triggers. Those 3 triggers are below: -None: As the name suggests; this Common Event is not activated by a Parallel Process or by Autorun. These Common Events are usually used with items or weapons. -Autorun: Like the Map-Based Event, but this Common Event requires a switch to be active instead of starting automatically on a single map. -Parallel Process: Like the Map-Based Event, also, and it also requires an active switch. Commands - Part 1 Show Text, Show Choices, Input Number, Change Text Options, Button Input Processing, Wait, Comment Text Command The Text Command is a simple command that places text in the box that appears where it is commanded to (by another Command). There are many different sub-commands that can be used in the text, also: -\V[?]: This Sub-Command prints the value of the stated variable. Replace ? with the Variable ID you wish to print. -\N[?]: This Sub-Command prints the stated actors name. Replace ? with the Actor ID you wish to print. -\C[?]: This Sub-Command makes the text after this event become a certain color. --\C[0] = White --\C[1] = Blue --\C[2] = Red --\C[3] = Green --\C[4] = Cyan --\C[5] = Purple --\C[6] = Yellow --\C[7] = Grey -\G: Places a small window with the current ammount of currency near the Top-Right corner of the screen. Choices Command The Choices Command allows you to add different paths to the game and make the game more player-involved. There are two things with Choice Events; the choices and the trigger. When you are typing the choices, you can use all of the Text Sub-Commands. The trigger sub-commands are detailed below: -Disallow = This Trigger disallows the player to cancel the choosing. This is good for story-lines to prevent confusion and/or glitches. Choice 1 = Very self-explanitory; selects Choice 1. Choice 2 = Very self-explanitory; selects Choice 2. Choice 3 = Very self-explanitory; selects Choice 3. Choice 4 = Very self-explanitory; selects Choice 4. Branch = Allows the player to add something to every option; 1, 2, 3, 4, Branch End and When Cancel. Input Number Command The Input Number Command is usually used for the user to enter something that will be remembered throughout the game, hense why it also wishes you to select a variable. The only thing you really need to worry about it choosing the right ammount of digits and the correct variable you wish to write the number to. Change Text Options Command The Change Text Options Command allows you to change the possition of the text and to show or hide the text window. The possitions of the text you can choose between is Top, Center and Bottom. These are good for any occasion. Button Input Processing Command The Button Input Processing Command is a great event for writing a certain movement or key to a variable. Only certain keys work, however. The number that appears first is the number that the Button Input Processing Command alligns the variable with for easy use with the Conditional Branch Command. Here is the list. 2 - Num-Pad 2, Down Arrow Key 4 - Num-Pad 4, Left Arrow Key 6 - Num-Pad 6, Right Arrow Key 8 - Num-Pad 8, Up Arrow Key 11 - Shift 12 - Escape, X, Num-Pad 0, 13 - Space, Enter, Num-Pad Enter, C 15 - S, 16 - Z, D, A 17 - Q 18 - W Wait Command The Wait Command is a simple command to, as the name states, wait a certain number of frames. There is nothing more to it. Comment Command The Comment Command doesn't affect the event page but is good for just writing what certain sections of the event page does or what you plan to do next. Conditional Branch The Conditional Branch is, quite possible, one of the most useful components of any Eventer's repertoire. The Conditional Branch function is a huge, customizable 'If' statement that can check for countless things in-game. Upon clicking the Conditional Branch button within the event, a window appears with four tabs; one for timers, switches and variables, one for checking attributes applied to any of the actors, a third for enemies and the players direction, and another for key-presses, checking the inventory, and checking with scripting. Tab 1 Switch - Checks if a specified switch is either on or off. Variable - Checks if a specified variable is equal to, greater than or less than, or a mixture of the three, to a specified number or another variable. Self-Switch - Checks if a specified self-switch is on or off. Timer - Checks if the timer has ticked for a certain amount of time, in minutes and seconds, along with the 'or More' or 'or Less' function. -[Work calls, so I'll continue when I get back]- Coming up next; Loop.
  5. "This book has a spell to seal up your werewolf form... but it only last a few hours." said Tatazaki. He is just like the others. He thinks I want to get rid of my werewolf form. I followed him into the basement. It was pretty dark, but I could still make out most of the objects that were down there.
  6. I was thinking after reading Wyzrd's "Let Me Live My Life"; does Fate exist? Fate is supposed to be what we do every second of the day. But, if I decided to post this topic when Fate had decided I wouldn't, does that mean that now I have a completely new fate instead of what would happen, or has it just been altered a little bit? I exuse people who do not understand a single word I say. Please post what you think.
  7. I am nearly as speachless as OverlordMao. That makes me review my own life and wonder about what I have done and where fate will lead me because of it. I just realised, that last line sounds like something that would be in one of your Wyzrd Of Godfather Recordz things. Can't wait to read more :D .

    Everything o.ö

Sherry, if you are still having trouble with the X's and O's on the tileset, just put all the autotiles and tilesets into your game, then open 2 rpg makers - one with the game (unless its already open) and one with the original tileset. Then, from the original one, click on the map you want and press Control+C. Then in your game, make a new tileset with NOTHING and press Control+V. Everything should be there. I did that same thing when I use Inquisitors tilesets for my games. Too much X's and O's for me to redo :D . Hope this helps.
  9. I hadn't slept all night. Was too paranoid about being followed. The last thing I wanted was getting Tatazaki killed along with me. It looked as if I had slept. Being a werewolf and staying awake every day of a full moon had made my body adapt and not require sleep as much. I pulled out the piece of paper and looked at it. Tonight is a full moon. I decided to tell Tatazaki what I was. "Hey Tatazaki," I said, "You probally already know I am a werewolf, right?"
  10. Thanks for the support, Polaudio. Probally all I need for now is a Custom Menu script (Only including Inventory, Status, Save and End Game). Would you like me sign you up as a Scripter as well? Also, a short demo should be ready for testing soon.
  11. "I'm sorry," I said to Tatazaki, "It's not your fault. That guy was probally after me for the bounty on my head." I sat down on the wall. "So," I said, "What's in the book?"
  12. I ran around the place as fast as I could until I found an abandoned, ran down house. I quickly de-activated my Blue Fire ability, made an attempt at hiding the magority of my magical ability and ran inside. I quickly put my back against a wall and hid. Then, to my surprise, I saw Tatazaki inside. I smiled, "Hey there," I said.
  13. Looks pretty cool so far, Aya. Can't wait to play a demo :D .
  14. [Aya, the king has plenty of guards patrolling the area. They may be hoping that I'll either run away or get killed. I don't think they would cancel the festival] I saw an ice-type thing come out from above the building. "Probally a water citizen trying to get the reward for my life." I used my scythe to act like a support as I jumped out from behind the house. Then I saw who was after me; one of the people from the fountain. "I don't want any trouble," I said, "I'm just trying to make my life as normal as possible. And if guards are going to continuesly chase me; that's their death wish." Then my mind flashed an idea. He uses Ice magic. I activated my Blue Flame ability and my body was engulfed in the flame. Then I ran again.
  15. Of course, OverlordMao :D . In news, I've also opened up an area called 'Spriters', because we'll need some. Anybody who can sprite can be in.
  16. It's ok if your not on too often. Adding you to Odd Jobs and ideas.
  17. Thanks for the C & C guys. @Wyzrd; I added a small section called 'Demo Testers' and added you to it. @OverlordMao; Odd Jobs are the random things that don't seem to fit into any of the areas. Is that a good enough description? Also, I like your idea about the campfire. Before they know that the effects arn't the computers, they should be having a campfire where somebody is telling a story, then there is a rustle in the bushes a shadow-like creature jumps out and takes one of the survivors. They all think that its a joke until they get back to their bedroom, the door is open; covered in blood. And on the floor is his dead body :D .
  18. She ran off, but I saw the smoke also. I decided to follow her. By the time we got to the burning inn there were already Water-Nation guardsmen shooting water at the inn. The girl turned around and say me. Then I heard a guard say "Look! There he is!" 3 guardsmen approached me. I drew my scythe and prepared for battle. One slung a sword at me but he was too slow; I easily dodged the blade then cut off his arm. I then dug the end of my scythe into his head and flung him at another guard, which sent them tumbling into the flames. The other guard just ran off. I looked back at the girl, which stood there watching. I faced the ground and ran away. I kept running until I found a small area under a house to hide. I'm not sure if the girl followed me or not. Now I was never going to talk with her now that she knew I was a wanted man.
  19. Survivor - Haunted Survivor - Haunted's storyline revolves around a haunted castle on the outskirts of a small forest town called Nomad Bay. A TV company plans to create a TV show about a small group of kids entering the castle and attempting to 'survive' for 3 weeks. All the 'haunting' would be controlled and monitored by computers, along with hidden cammera's to see what the kids were doing. The show was accepted and auditions for the programme went from house-to-house, looking for kids to be in the show. Out of 80 kids who auditioned, 7 were picked for the show. But on the first night, the camera's and computers were destroyed by an unknown entity. The castle was also locked using 7 ancient keys. You will have to allie, fight and search if you hope to make it out alive. And who will survive? All... or just you? The Team: I am currently looking for people to help wit my project. 20. "Oh," I said, looking down at the little girl, "I am sorry, I didn't see your friend here. When you have time, I urgently need to talk to you." I took about 15 steps back and sat down on the grass.
  21. I decided that I would have to question her. I was getting nowhere by following her. I walked up to her. "Hello, Ma'am." I said.
  22. [its a forbidden spell. They'd wanna get rid of it.]
  23. I followed the girl to a magic shop. She entered, but I decided to camoflauge and wait until she comes back out. When she did, she was carrying a scroll. I say a blue symbol on it, indicating that it was Water Nation. I quickly chanted my 'Mind-Peak' spell and focused on the girl. Through my head I heard This is strange. Why would the man give me a scroll worth 110 gold?. I could also tell she was worried. I allowed my eye to return to normal. Interesting... I de-camoflauged and entered the shop. "Hello," said the man inside, "How can I help you?" I smiled. "A girl came inside this shop and you gave her a free water-nation scroll. What does it do?" "It allows you to summon water creatures." he replied. "I am also looking for a... special scroll. It is of no-nations." I said. The man of the shop took a quick look around, then ushered me into another room. "In here," he said, "Just don't let anybody find you in here." He then walked off. I looked through the shelves. Most of these were either White Magic or Black Magic, but I was looking for a special kind of magic; Creature Magic. The kind of magic that creatures can use. Normal humans cannot use them, for they do not have that creatures blood in them, and that can sometimes lead to dead. I found a shelf marked "Humans Beware". That had to be it. I quickly searched through the shelves and found what I was looking for; 'Control Creature'. I took the scroll and walked back into the shop and put the scroll on the table. "Creature magic, eh? You know that can kill you." the man said. "Well, lets just say I'm not entirely human and lets leave it at that." The man nodded. "That scroll will be... 10 gold coins sound fair?" he asked. I grinned. "Very," I said, placing 15 gold pieces on the counter, took the scroll and started leaving. "Sir, you..." the man started. "I was not here, ok?" I said. The man put 10 gold pieces into a bag and the extra 5 into his pocket. "Of course." he replied.
  24. 1 day to go and it looks like Leon is the only one to have submitted a map.
  25. "Wow," I said, staring at the flower, "When you do your performance you should do that and give it to a lady in the crowd. I think the lucky lady would like that." Out of the corner I saw Ryan running towards me. "What's wrong?" I asked. "Come over here!" said Ryan. "I'll see you tonight at your performance!" I yelled back at Tatazaki. We got behind a building. "There was a guard looking for you," said Ryan. I sighed. "If you see him, tell him you saw me run out of the city, ok?"I said to Ryan as he nodded. I used my camoflauge ability and started doing some yoga but always looking at the fountain at Tatazaki and the girl with the black magic I observed.
