That would be great :) I'm sure it would help a lot of members. I also wanted to do something like that for the site though, where members can login and things.

Looking for a alright side battle system
Marked replied to Son_Of_Light's topic in General Game Development
You should try to keep your individual requests separate and post in the appropriate forums.. Are these requests for RMXP? On this forum, if in doubt, we assume yes. Battle Systems: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/scripts/rmxp/category/battle-systems Characters: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/gallery/category/12-characters-graphicscharacters/ As far as generators go, Face Maker 3.1 seems to be the most popular, and therefore probably as good as you're going to get. Your best bet is to find existing ones. I may be able to find some good japanese sites.. I remember stumlbing upon some nice facsets once. -
I know a guy who knows a guy who can you a date with Eureka. If you stay~ :(

I think I tried setting it up once unsuccessfully. Would awesome to use it though if only I knew how to set up a server. As for the mysql error, I think you get your answer if you google it since it has an error code at the end there. From a brief skim it looks like it may be a windows firewall blocking it.

They do carry over, as well as switches. I don't think you need to only add 1 to the variable when its under 10. It doesn't really matter, but you can just turn the switch off when the variable equals 10.

Welcome to the forums Son_Of_Light, or should I say welcome back. You registered way back in march, finally decided to be active? Enjoy your stay :alright:

As I have discussed in the dev blog and on the forums, I have gone ahead with the plan to merge the Game Development forums into the core categories, so there are no engine-specific forums. Aside from forums such as Tools & Utilities and Game Dev Discussion (which can use prefixes), the others require a prefix in order to post. So if you need help or you're posting your project, you're going to have to specify what engine it is for. And all these types of topics for all engines go in the one forum. This will allow us to make way for more engines as well, all we need to do is add the appropriate prefix. Another advantage of this feature is, now that all topics are marked what engine they're about, we can easily revert to any forum structure without the need to sort topics. If anyone has any trouble or queries about the new system, or would like to suggest an engine to add to the prefixes, then this is the place to post.

Moved to Projects & Teams. By the way your link doesn't work for me. That host has way too many ads too. You should try our downloads manager or a site like megaupload.com.

I've been waiting for this. Joey, you should look here: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/index.php?option=com_stats&view=default&breakpoint=20

This is exactly how the system works at the moment. Originally it was broken and would allow members to post without a prefix, and to my surprise, no one used prefix even when I placed a reminded in red right in front. The ability to force members to use prefixing is the foundation of this system. I agree. Nevertheless, its how things are. However there is a strange feature of the current structure. That is specific engine forums (eg RMXP support) and then there are forums for all engines (eg Script Requests), so there is a little bit of inconsistency there. A merger would clean it right up. My only concern is the lack of advertising for out other engines. For example, would member recognize we're a VX forum too? I'd make it clear though.. like engine icons on the board index to indicate we support these engines. Looks like this idea is likely to go through.

This was a blog entry a made a couple of days ago, and due to the lack of response there, I want to get this idea and therefore get more members opinions on it. You can read it here: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/forums/blog/29/entry-145-merging-of-a-few-forums/ All opinions welcome :)

Ramenuzumaki, make sure to check the dates before you post. You can find the rules on necro-posting here: http://www.rmxpunlimited.net/rules-and-policies#necroposting That's for future reference, I'm not saying this post breaks the rules as I'm sure Leon will be glad to read it.

Goodluck with your project Broken Messiah, come back and show us how much progress you've made. Don't forget to come back... ok? :)

With only 2 weeks before my first exam, I am deep in procrastination I seem to be having a lot of ideas... One such idea, one for the future when activity lifts so high we can't even see it, is the VIP/Sponser usergroup. The only reason such a group would exist is to 1. retain valued members and offer them this for free and 2. because we can create super cool features that would no be manageable if EVERY member had these permissions. Emphasis on #2. What would members in the Sponser usergroup get... In another blog post I hope to make later, and an idea I hope to implement before 2011, is the staff member content idea. What this is, is, something like the recent posts shown on the side of the forum index, but, it contains all latest support topics and scripts/resource requests, and only staff members AND/OR members in the support usergroup (not implemented at the moment, would go along with this idea) can see it. So, if you were a sponsored member, you're topic in the support/requests forums would jump to the top of the list. The next idea is in relation to the gallery. Currently there are 2,000+ images in it. It is troublesome to search through all those categories. Sponsors would have access to a section that loads EVERY image on the one page, and you simple scroll down and find the images you want. Lately, I have the idea of creating my own sort of forum and I would call it something RMXPU Live. It is a version of the forum that uses ajax so that you dont have to load a page to browse the forum. It would be my own application using IPB's database. However, only simple functions like replying to topics would be possible. But its good because you watch replies as members make them, and post your own without ever leaving the page you're on. And of course boring features like uploap limit, soft-delete own posts, etc. etc.

yeah but did you get a score? If not, then obviously we're missing something...

Wait, leerox4eva1 is the champion, he must know how to play it....

Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of International Relations compliment each other well, I take it you're going to specialize in international law? It's actually quite an interesting area of law. Recently we had to do an essay on NZ legal history, and originally the law of New South Wales extended to NZ, so in fact, we had those laws. That was before 1840 though. Thought you may find that interesting, even though you're in Victoria. Savor your last day of high school... you'll miss it. :P Actually our arcade now can have the same games as back then, its an upgraded version of software compatible with the forum upgrades. I don't remember what games we used to have, just angry faic (which is in there) and that way awesome tank game where you bounce off stuff and do crazy flips, if only I could remember the name of it..... I hope you do drop in from time to time. It really feels like 07 since over the last week I've talked to you, Wyz, Ark and Emily. :)

Yup I'll try and get those added today. The site that has the games only allows one download per day, but if I get impatient enough I'm sure I'll find a way around it :) I was also thinking of adding classic snake as well, you can play it far longer than the one in there now.

Oh why's that clone? How 'bout some "positive criticism", I put that in quotes as it's from the rules. Raiku44, I'm moving you're topic. It wasn't necessarily in the wrong section as I thought we had a place for web design, which we didn't, but after seeing this topic I edited the programming forum to programming and web design. -

I think facebook allowed you to connect to friends way easier, it is a far 'social' network. Lol. I'm just guessing as I never used myspace but I got that impression. I had a look at your CSS and found the bit that was annoying me.. a:hover, a:active { color: #660055; text-decoration: underline; font-size: 14px; } Its just my preference but you should remove font-size: 14px, its really annoying when you hover over normal links and they jump out at you :P
